The National Museum of Prehistory has the most important paleolithic collection in France. It has stone and bone tools and the worlds premier collection of engraving and sculpture. Undergoing extension work is happening at present to give the museum a surface area of more than 4700m2.

Opening Hours of the Museum

• September to June: 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 5.30pm (closed on tuesday)
• July and August: Open 7 days a week from 9.30am to 6.30pm
