Gemmail is a process developed in the late 1930s by French artist Jean Crotti and referred to as the Art of Light. Gemmail became popular in France in the mid 1950s and many pictures were inspired by works of Picasso, Monet, Degas and others.
Throughout the museum are black and white photos of gemmail artists as they create their pieces. The main room of the museum shows a French video detailing the history and process of gemmail.
