The Manoir de la Possonnière’ is located in 'Couture sur Loir'.
Loys of Ronsard the father of Pierre de Ronsard, on his return from the wars of Italy in 1515, decorated the house inspired by the Italian architecture he had seen and so he made one of the first Renaissance houses of France.
It is here that his son, Pierre de Ronsard the famous French poet, was born on September 10th, 1524. He lived there for the first twelve years of his life.
The Manor house can be visited, as well as its gardens and its magnificent rose garden.
