Coast and Country in Provence
Les Belles Lurettes is a much loved holiday home, 6 minutes drive from the lively medieval village of La Garde Freinet with its eclectic selection of bars and restaurants and twice weekly markets, yet only 30 minutes from the wonderful beaches of St Tropez.
Set in 2 acres of woodland with gardens, terraces, hilltop views, a heated swimming pool (28 degrees from April to October), and air-conditioning for the height of summer.
The main house has 3 double bedrooms, 1 ensuite bathroom, 1 shower room with WC plus a further guest WC. An open-plan living area offers comfortable seating, a dining area and modern well equipped kitchen. There is also a study, adjoining the main bedroom which can be used for cot(s) or 2 young children on sofa beds.
The house opens onto a large south-facing terrace with a shaded dining area and ample casual seating. There is a further covered terrace off the main bedroom.
The traditional stone building beside the pool terrace houses the 4th double bedroom with en-suite shower room. This room and the pool are reached by steps leading down off the south facing terrace.
The pool is a good size,10x5 metres, heated, with an electrically operated safety cover, and maintained twice weekly. It is surrounded by a well maintained garden which features a large lawn, suitable for general play, badminton and beach/bat tennis etc- net and racquets provided. There is a built-in stone BBQ ,a large shaded area, sun loungers, poolside tables and a dining table and chairs. The table tennis table is on the top covered terrace next to the "boule" area.
The tarmac drive down to the house has electrically operated closing gates leading to ample parking for 4 cars.

- Bedroom 1 - master bedroom with 5’ double bed, French doors onto covered veranda, walk-through dressing area and en suite bathroom, bath with shower over.
- Bedroom 2 - with two single beds, built-in cupboard, opening onto south facing terrace.
- Bedroom 3 - with 5' double bed, built-in cupboard opening onto south facing terrace.
- Bedroom 4 (separate from main house) - with 5ft double bed, en suite shower room, opening onto pool terrace

- The laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer, drying facilities, an additional fridge, and space to store empty suitcases etc, is located in the outbuilding next to the parking area.

Local Amenities
The villa is a 6 minute drive to La Garde Freinet, a delightful, picturesque, medieval, provencal village with a 13th century fort and rich history.
It has 2 bakeries, 2 butcheries, coffee shops, and 8 or more restaurants and bars, a well-stocked Spar, terrific wine shop/cellar, and interesting galleries, antique and curio shops.
St Tropez is less than 30 minutes away, well worth a visit for it's fish market, legendary port, a fort and numerous shops and restaurants . It's splendid 10km beach, Pampelonne, is impressive offering both public and private areas with restaurants and loungers. Other lovely beaches including L'escalier, Gigaro, and Heracles are close by.
Cogolin is a thriving market town, a 15 minute drive, with an excellent Le Clerq supermarket, and the Geant supermarket and shopping complex is conveniently positioned on the route to St Tropez.
There are fascinating villages nearby: Gassin, Ramatuelle, Grimaud and Port Grimed, St Maxime, all worth a visit. And a myriad of other villages in inland Provence with it's glorious and diverse landscape, including the stunning Gorge du Verdon. Grasse, Antibes and St Paul de Vence are less than an hour away.
The vineyards are plentiful: Minuty, St Maur, Pampelonne, Giscle to name a few.
Go-karting, horse-riding,tennis, golf, a water park and funfair, as well as sailing, boating, cruising in the St Tropez bay and water skiing are all available.
