Why Employ a Project Manager?
Property Restoration in France can be extremely complex, frustrating, time consuming, expensive and sometimes fun. For it to be successful you need detailed knowledge and experience of the many different aspects and requirements for this type of work in France, as well as a very good understanding of the French language; both written and verbal skills are essential.
Professional planning and managing for property restoration on any scale can be successfully carried out using the skills of an experienced Project Manager.
I am bilingual and for the past 14 years I have lived and worked in the LOT department in South West France. I have a proven track record, with references from clients for the restoration and Project Management of their property for either permanent or holiday homes in the area.
My Services include organising and scheduling the following activities:
Designing and Planning. Liaison with architect for plans over 170 m2 (French Law requires architect signed plans for projects over 170m2).
National and Local planning and building regulations
Estimates from local artisans and producing outline proposals and costing
Material suppliers
Drafting and issuing Building Contracts to Artisans
Public service and Utility providers
Scheduling of Artisans work activities
Monitoring of Work progress via regular reports including photographic/video updates
Managing Changes
Insurance Certification
Artisan Guarantees
Permit applications – i.e. buildings, septic tanks and swimming pools
