We’ve joined again with FrenchEntree magazine to offer you the chance to win a weekend in Normandy in early or late Summer 2015. The destination is Le Grand Pont, a restored farmhouse with comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation near Estry, in Calvados cider country.
At Le Grand Pont, owners Tony and Jill Stansfield run an organic working farm and cider press and love to make visitors feel welcome and relaxed. See full details of Le Grand Pont.
The competition prize is for three nights’ stay in a double room with breakfast each morning and one welcome dinner for two people on a May or September weekend (travel is not included). During both months the Normandy countryside is beautiful and uncrowded.
In Estry village churchyard, visit probably the oldest tree in France, a massive yew with space for several people in its hollow trunk. Other places to explore are Le Mont St Michel, Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. Host Tony is an expert on the history of the region during Second World War and is happy to share his knowledge with visitors who are interested.
See more about the competition on page 56 of the Jan/Feb issue of FrenchEntree magazine – and you can enter at frenchentree.com in the magazine competition section.
