Hands-On Cookery ExperienceIf you do decide to take this option what I normally suggest is that on the market visit, I give you a printed sheet with what we are preparing and a list of ingredients. Then with my assistance we shop together and visit Dijon as marked in the option above.We then return to the house for a market snack lunch of Pates, Breads, Cheeses and Salad, and start preparing for dinner at around 4pm. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work with fresh, fragrant ingredients. BOOKING AGREEMENT
The hiring contract shall be between the hirer and the owner of the property for which the booking is made, and shall be deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire. The Contract of Hire is not effective until the owner dispatches to the hirer written confirmation of the booking.
Letting are from Saturday\ Saturday i.e. from 16.30hrs Saturday and departures to be made by 10.00 hrs the following Saturday. This allows the house to be prepared for the following tenants.
Bookings will be confirmed by the owner on receipt of the appropriate initial payment as detailed on the booking form. At this time a booking confirmation\ account will be issued incorporating the cost of accommodation rental and breakage deposit less the initial payment made. The outstanding balance is payable to the owner not less than eight weeks before departure.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS AGREEMENT
The Breakage Deposit is up to 3000€ . The hirer’s
credit card details are to be given with a signature at the end of the Booking Conditions with number, expiring date and 3 digit security code – by signing the Booking Conditions you agree to the owner debiting any funds up to the value of 3000€ if the Booking Conditions are NOT adhered too.
Please take note of the highlighted conditions.
Additionally, if there are any charges in excess of the breakage deposit then the hirer will reimburse the owner accordingly.
The owner recommends that the hirer obtains Personal Travel and Cancellation Insurance.
Provided that written confirmation is received not less than eight weeks before the holiday commencement dates, hirers will not be held liable to pay the balance of the accommodation rental. Furthermore if the owner is successful in re-letting the holiday, then the deposit will be refunded less the greater of either costs incurred in re-letting the holiday, or an administrative charge of, £500. These conditions will apply to cancellations within eight weeks of the holiday commencement date so long as the owner has been successful in re-letting the holiday. For holidays not re-let, hirers will automatically lose their deposit and will also be liable to pay the remaining balance of the accommodation rental. In all other respects the owner will hold the hirer responsible only to the extent that incurs a financial liability.
The owner will endeavour to act upon hirers requests for subsequent changes to a booking but reserves the right to charge an administration fee of, 300€ per alteration and to charge the hirer for any other costs incurred.
All gas and electricity used for domestic consumption are included
The cost of electricity, gas or fuel used for heating is included
The use of accommodation and amenities is entirely at the user’s risk, and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, and loss or damage to user or visitor’s belongings.
Baggage and personal belongings are at the hirer’s risk at all times.
No responsibility can be accepted for the loss or damage to any car or its contents.
The owner will not take responsibility for person’s personal effects and strongly recommends the hirer take out Personal Travel and Cancellation Insurance. The hirer is also responsible for leaving the property in a, CLEAN and TIDY. Failure to do so will incur a flat rate charge of 200 €
In no circumstances may more than the maximum number of people stated in the details be exceeded except by prior agreement with the owner. The owner reserves the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.
If during the course of the holiday the hirer has any reason for complaint he should contact the owner as soon as possible in order that immediate remedial action may be taken.
Disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract, which cannot be amicably settled, may if the hirer so wishes, be referred to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Pool Heating, IS INCLUDED, however during extreme weather fluctuations the heating security will cut in if the temperature drops too low.
Therefore in early and mid season we cannot guarantee the temperature of the pool if the night time temperature is to low for the heat pumps to function properly.
Children’s safety around the pool is the Hirer’s responsibility.
Never leave young children unsupervised.
We will NOT accept responsibility for the misuse by clients of the equipment provided in the case of accidents.
Under no circumstances do we allow the rearranging of furniture or curtains.
This causes damage to the floors and walls and provides extra work for the housekeepers.
Recycling is present in France and bins have been provided to make this easier. Most villages have glass recycling bins in the centre, and it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that they take the glass/bottles to that site before leaving.
All other rubbish can be sorted into the appropriate bins and left in the appropriate outside bins for collection on the days stated in the House Book provided in each property. Rubbish in France is now charged for by weight, therefore we ask that you respect the recycling systems put in place.
IF WE HAVE TO SORT THROUGH YOUR RUBBISH TO RECYCLE IT YOU WILL BE CHARGED A FLAT RATE OF 200€
21. ACCIDENTS
Accidents happen – it’s a fact but it isn’t a problem, and if we are told ASAP, it can often be repaired or replaced quickly at no charge However, hiding damaged furniture, or covering up burns, rips, marks etc will result in a loss of Breakage Deposit until we can replace the item or we receive the quote to have it repaired.
Hirer’s who let their children draw on walls, draw over or cut holes in the sofa’s and who allow chairs to be thrown through walls or use the walls as a football pitch causing damage will NOT be classed as an accident but as reckless and irresponsible and will be charged
22. BIKES
We except no responsibility for any accidents or injuries incurred from any bicycle hire. Clients will be provided with cycle hats to protect them, it is you choice if you choose not to wear them or not.
