Bookings are from 4.00pm on day of arrival to 10.00am on day of departure. It would be most helpful if you are able to let us know the expected time of arrival.
'La Fleureau' Terms and Conditions
La Fleureau (the property) is offered for rental subject to confirmation by (the owners) Ian and Carol Barnstable.
To reserve the property, the client should complete and sign the Booking Form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (30% of the total rental due). On receipt of the booking form and deposit, the owners will send a confirmation which is the formal acceptance of the booking.
The balance of the rent together with the security deposit (see clause 4) is payable at least 6 weeks prior to the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the owners are able to re-let the property.
A security deposit of £250.00 is required together with the balance of the rental charge. This is to cover for any losses or damage caused to property, pool area or grounds. However the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the client’s liability in event of damage or loss. The owners shall account for the security deposit and refund the balance due within 2 weeks following the rental period.
The price includes electricity, water and gas fuel. (A winter surcharge of £15.00 per day is charged for oil central heating, Low Season) bed linen, bathroom and pool towels.
The client shall report, without delay, any defects in the property in respect of equipment or appliances. The owners will arrange for repair/replacement as soon as possible.
In event of cancellation, refunds may be made, other that non-refundable deposits, only if it is possible to re-let the property. Any expenses incurred in re-letting, will be deducted from the refundable amount. Please ensure that adequate health and holiday insurance is in place at time of booking (including cancellation cover) including full cover for personal belongings, public liability etc. as these are not covered by the owners insurance.
Unless by prior arrangement, the rental period shall be from Saturday to Saturday and shall commence at 4pm on arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
The maximum number of people to reside in the Chambre d’hote shall be 2 adults. The Gite accommodation, pool area and grounds are considered unsuitable for children under 14 years. Only the persons named on the booking form shall occupy the self –catering Gite.
The property is designated as non-smoking and is not suitable for pets.
The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take care of the property, pool and grounds and to leave all in a clean and tidy (as found) condition at the end of the rental period. Should the property be left in an unacceptable condition, the owners reserve the right to make a deduction from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs of £50.00.
The owners shall not be liable to the client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool. Or for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of matters beyond the control of the owners. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability exceed that of the amount paid to the owners for the rental period.
In the event of the accommodation reserved for you becomes unavailable after your booking has been confirmed, for whatever reason, we will use our best endeavours to find alternative, comparable accommodation. If we are unable to do this, or if you are unable to accept the change, we will refund your deposit and the balance if this has already been paid. This will be our sole obligation.
These Terms and Conditions are deemed to have been read and accepted on completion of the Booking Form.
Note: It is advisable to arrange insurance against cancellation of your holiday.
