I am authorised to make this booking on behalf of my party. I am over 18 years of age.

I enclose a non-refundable deposit of £______, being 30% of the total holiday cost. I agree to pay the balance of £______ plus a refundable damage deposit of 400, 6 weeks prior to arrival before the holiday start date. (If booking less than 6 weeks prior to arrival weeks prior to the holiday start date the full amount should be enclosed.)

1. CONTRACT

The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the Client and the Renter. All contractual obligations arising out of the booking conditions shall be subject to the Laws of The Netherlands and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Rotterdam. The contract will be entered into when the deposit is processed and Renter issues the confirmation letter. The Contract will be subject to the following conditions.

2. PAYMENT

A damage deposit of Euro 400 is payable with, and in addition to, the balance (or full) payment of the rental fees. This is refunded within 7 days of departure subject to satisfactory inspection of the property by the Renter or nominated representative. Non-payment of the full balance of the rental on or before the due date shall be construed as a termination of the contract by the Client. For bookings made less than six weeks before the commencement of the rental, the total rental fee is payable at the time of the booking.

3. DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS AND ALTERATIONS

A 30% booking deposit is payable at the time of booking, the balance being due six weeks before the arrival date. Payment can be made by PayPal/Credit card (online), The 30% booking deposit is non-refundable if cancelled less than 6 weeks of the arrival date. If the balance due is not received by the Renter one week after the due date then the booking will be deemed to have been cancelled, the deposit will be forfeited and we reserve the right to re-book the property. When a booking is cancelled, a percentage of the booking deposit will be charged as a cancellation fee (i.e. not refunded). The percentage will depend upon the amount of time still to elapse before the arrival date as per the following table:

6 weeks or more – 65 % charge of the deposit

6 weeks or less – 100% charge of the deposit

Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason shall be in writing. Depending on the reasons for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these charges (less any excess) under the terms of your insurance policy. The Renter strongly recommends that the Client takes out Cancellation Insurance.

If a Client wishes to alter their booking, the Renter will endeavour to assist, however changes cannot be guaranteed. An administration fee maybe charged.

The Renter’s obligation to the Client ensures that the services offered reach a reasonable standard. In the unlikely event that it is necessary to make an alteration to, or cancel the booking specified in the booking confirmation, we will inform you as soon as possible and try to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and standard, and in a similar location as that originally requested. If the alternative holiday accommodation is not acceptable, we will refund in full all monies paid and shall be under no other liability.

4. LIABILITY

The Renter, its employees and/or agents do not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise. In addition, liability does not extend to circumstances amounting to “Force Majeure”.

5. PERIOD OF HIRE

Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified, at 15.00 on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.00 on the day of departure.

6. NUMBER OF PERSONS IN THE PROPERTY

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed fifteen (17) at any one time. The Renter reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party, or apply extra charges if this condition is not observed.

 

7. CARE OF THE PROPERTY

The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.

8. BREAKAGES, DAMAGE, LOSS OF KEYS and CLEANING

The Client is legally bound to reimburse the Renter for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand. A fixed cleaning/maintenance fee of Euro 230 will be payable per week in addition to the rental fee.

The cleaning/maintenance cost consists of cleaning of the house after departure and is also for the maintenance of the swimming pool, Jacuzzi , sauna and garden. This all takes place once a week. Persons charged with maintenance of the property will be allowed entry buy the Client on Saturday between 10.00 and 16.00 or at other times in case of emergency repair.

9. PETS

We regret that we do not allow pets anywhere on the Property.

10. RIGHT OF ENTRY

With a minimum of 24 hours notice (except in the case of emergencies), the Renter shall be allowed the right of entry to the Property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs, maintenance and cleaning.

There are weekly cleaning and maintenance visits for the pool, garden and premises. This generally takes place on a Saturday between 10.00 and 15.00.

11. SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the buildings. A fixed cleaning charge of Euro 250 will be levied for smoking inside the buildings.

12. CHILDREN

Clients must accept responsibility for the safety of their children at all times.

13. INSURANCE

It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that their personal possessions are insured. It is strongly advised that the Client take out comprehensive Holiday Insurance, including cancellation cover.

14. VAT

No VAT is applicable on these transactions.

15. BEHAVIOUR

Clients are obliged to take care that the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood is not disturbed by themselves and/or their party. It is especially identified that music should be kept at a reasonable level in the garden. In alignment with French law it is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that noise levels do not disturb neighbours between the hours of 20.00 and 08.00. Failure to observe this condition may result in termination of the rental.

16. CONFIRMATION

By returning a signed copy of the booking form (email) the Client confirms their agreement to these terms and conditions.

17. TOURIST TAX

€0.22 per person per night will be added to the final invoice.

Note: It is advisable to arrange insurance against cancellation of your holiday.
