    Advice for property owners from Glynis Shaw of French Connections, along with two specific holiday properties, are featured in an article in the Summer edition of glossy magazine Destination France.

    The article, in the Savoir-Faire advice section of the magazine, is called Home Truths and gives tips on how to maximise income from a holiday home. Glynis gives creative hints on the use of photographs and video and also passes on really practical advice, like test-driving your property before the first guests arrive.

    Glynis also has the last word in the feature, with recommendations on creating a guest book, asking for feedback and generating repeat bookings.

    French Connections properties featured are Domaine du Crestet in Provence and the Old Salt House in Brittany.

    The magazine also has a wealth of beautifully illustrated features about visiting France, including the Loire Valley, the Minervois, walking the dog around Mont Blanc and island magic on the Ile d'Oleron.

The emphasis is on quality content, so we’re delighted that right now the site is featuring advice from French Connections as the editor's pick of the week. It’s on a topic of interest to owners and holidaymakers – the top skills needed for running a successful holiday let.

    Our article has prominent position on the Home page of the site and also promotes our holiday lets and their owners with stunning photos that link to the specific properties they show. This is all part of our publicity drive to support our owners and help to get them noticed.     In the current October issue of French Property News magazine Glynis Shaw gives advice to owners on going the extra mile to make their holiday let stand out from the crowd.

    Glynis draws on her years of experience as joint MD of French Connections - and formerly running a holiday let in the Lot - to talk about advanced forms of marketing. On-site, these strategies include offering extras like activities meals and excursions, while online they might be video, special offers, themed listings and featured properties. Finally, Glynis talks about publicity.

    The Good Life France has chosen French Connections to feature in the new, Autumn issue of their digital magazine and in the 'Editor's Picks' on their very popular website.

    In the magazine article, our general manager Donna Sloane gives her top tips for marketing holiday lets. “Successful marketing means being pro-active with a clear strategy and budget,” says Donna.

    Her advice includes tips on where to advertise – she recommends choosing a listing site with great customer service like French Connections of course!
