I stayed here during the first week of September. The house was exactly as described. It was well equipped and comfortable, the lounge and main bedroom were very spacious and well furnished. I was fortunate with the weather and was able to enjoy breakfast on the roof terrace every morning of my stay. The house is very conveniently located in the village, something that attracted me to the property, so eating out and having a few beers in the evening without having to drive was important to me. The village is very attractive with a nice square in the centre. I enjoyed the market on Thursday, including the evening market of food and wine with music in the background - a very popular event. Notwithstanding the number of visitors parking was very easy in the road just behind the house. It is a house on many levels so be prepared to climb a few stairs and if you are tall - watch your head! I had a lovely stay in an area I had been close to in the past but not actually visited previously. Finally, all the administrative arrangements were clear, easy and efficient.Guest rating:
Stayed for one week in June 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would suggest that the house is not for the elderly or infirm as it is has 4 storeys with narrow, steep staircases and a few hazards, but if you enjoy properties that have bags of character, quirkiness and old-world charm then this is definitely for you. Comfortable, quiet, and cosy, with a small roof terrace that has eye-watering, truly stunning, panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, which seem to go on for ever. Seldom (is ever) have I seen such a view - it has to be seen to be believed, and the terrace is a real suntrap too. The town of Monflanquin is also a delight. Beautifully kept, friendly, and well appointed, with a lovely central square boasting shops and cafes, and a wonderful, traditional produce market on the weekend. A very enjoyable stay, and real value for money. Highly recommended.Guest rating:
A house constructed in the 1200's !!!! Wow!! I knew this village well and had spent many holidays there when the children were young. I wanted somewhere for a month. I chose extremely well!! A small house right in the village. It was better than I hoped. It wasn't that small to be honest!! Loads of space inside with comfy furniture. Full of character with lots of quirky features. Very well equipped throughout with the advantage of satellite TV. I adored the roof top terrace which had sun loungers, brolly and table and chairs. It isn't overlooked at all. It's a real sun trap and even on a windy day, you feel sheltered. Great just to stand and look out across the beautiful scenery. The main bedroom was huge. The bathroom was large with shower and bath. The second bedroom is at the top of the 3 storey house. Limited roof height but more than adequate. Large doors open out onto the terrace. We unloaded the car right outside but I tended to park round the corner on the Tour de Ville. Loved it, didn't want to leave, will be back!!!! A real French experience.?Guest rating:
