CLEANING - minimum bookings are for a week with a large number for two weeks or more. Therefore, we do not have frequent changes or lots of clients. All cottages have dishwashers which we insist people to use. We ask for departure by 10.00 & arrival after 16.00 so we can do a “deep” clean. This includes dishwashing (again) plates, glasses & cutlery etc. Also sterilising/disinfecting all hard surfaces, such as kitchens, bathrooms & floors, etc. We also provide cleaning supplies as part of the arrival pack should you wish to do more. The cottages are left open on the arrival day & any check in can be done with social distancing.
SOCIAL DISTANCING we are in a rural setting in small hamlet of 10 houses. It’s a 1.2 km walk through country lanes to the centre of the local village. This has a restaurant, bar, shop, butcher & pharmacy. The small medieval town of St Emilion is 9 kms away with lots of terrace restaurants. If you do not want to go into any big towns or hypermarkets you can be simply live locally using village shops. There are also out-door markets almost every day. There are beaches on 2 local lakes, also set in the countryside, but little used except at the weekends. Each cottage has its own garden and/or terrace with your own sun loungers, tables & chairs and BBQ’s. The only common area is the pool with its large sun terrace It has more well-spaced sun-loungers, tables & chairs etc. For this period, we are increasing the pool chemicals & ask people to use the pool shower before swimming. It is easy to use the pool for a swim & then return to your own garden/terrace for sunbathing & relaxing.
The maximum number of people if all the properties are in use is only 10.

We stayed in Lavender cottage for a week, summer 2019. We were welcomed by Andrew who provided us with a delicious welcome meal and had stocked the fridge with essentials to get us started. The accommodation was wonderful. The cottage, although one of three provides great privacy. The view was incredible and we enjoyed walks around the area seeing bats and birds of prey. It is extremely well positioned and we took a good number of day trips including the train into Bordeaux. Can’t recommend enough the market at Libourne. My son fell in love with Sidney the cat who came on a walk with us. As a teenager into photography he spent a number of hours out taking pictures of the stunning scenery. Thanks to Andrew for making the stay so relaxed and being so welcoming.Guest rating:
