Just back from a relaxing weeks holiday at Camuzat. The property is stunning and the gite accommodation was perfect ....everything and more that we could have hoped for. The welcome pack was indeed very substantial. Robin and Suzy were perfect hosts there if we needed them but in no way intrusive. Their recommendations were invaluable as was Robin taking us on a very enjoyable wine and armagnac tasting. The pool and outdoor seating areas looked amazing - shame it was a bit too cold to enjoy them. The surrounding villages and towns were very interesting with lots of history and stunning scenery. We would definitely recommend a visit and we hope to be back again sometime soon. The property was very clean and Covid rules and regs well observed. Big thank you to Robin and Suzy.Guest rating:
We have just returned from an idyllic week in Camuzat. Robin and Sue were wonderful hosts and the gîte was equipped with everything we needed, from comfortable beds, beautiful linen and towels, and a kitchen stocked with all the pots, pans, knives and other utensils necessary for staying in and cooking. We didn’t venture out to restaurants, but took up Robin and Sue’s suggestions for nearby towns and villages to visit (we loved Mezin, Nerac—don’t miss the old medieval quarter, and the beautiful round fortress village of Fourcès). Every afternoon found us in the gorgeous swimming pool and enjoying a book under the umbrella or lying on the nearby hammocks. We definitely hope to return!Guest rating:
We have just spent a really relaxing week at Camuzat. Robin and Sue were delightful, helpful, unobtrusive hosts. Camuzat is a lovely, spacious house furnished with care, with a well-equipped kitchen and the most comfortable beds. The pool (for guests' exclusive use and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of loungers and sun umbrellas) is set in the spacious garden which has far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. We lazed in the hammocks, read by the pool, and played cards on the balcony as the sun set. The house's location means you feel very private; the only noise - other than birdsong and the occasional distant tractor - is that you make yourself! Pretty towns and villages within 10-minutes driving distance (indlucing Mézin and Condom) met all our shopping needs (bakers, market stalls for fruit/vegetables/cheese/fish, supermarkets) and provided evening entertainment (variety of restaurants and marchés gourmands). We returned from our week thoroughly rested - thank you Sue and Robin!Guest rating:
What a magical little place Cazumat is! In a beautiful peaceful haven surrounded by rolling hills yet within 10 minutes of 2 wonderful towns, it was the perfect retreat from all the noise and confusion of the world. Robin and Sue are exceptional hosts and are happy to share their wealth of knowledge about the region- we found many places we would never have got to without them and they were all great experiences. The gite itself is a lovely annexe to the main farmhouse- private, supremely comfortable and benefitting from 3 terraces (all with their own charms) as well as sole use of the amazing pool area. Little touches like the barbecue, the quality of the towels, the dressing gowns and the luxuriousness of the vast bed made it seem more like a boutique hotel than a gite. We had an absolutely fantastic stay and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great hosts, fanastic location, excellent facilities
Good communication with Robin and Sue during the booking process and in the run up to the holiday. Made welcome from the moment we arrived. The house was very clean and very well equipped. We loved the pool area: plenty of chairs, loungers and parasols. Lovely pool. The house is in a very quiet location with some nice walks along quiet roads. There are some lovely villages to visit within a short drive. Robin and Sue were excellent hosts, very helpful without being intrusive. Overall, an excellent place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended.Guest rating:
Wonderful !
This location is surrounded by a beautiful landscape. It is peaceful and is perfect for a family holiday. We had lovely hosts who were most helpful in helping us find our way around so we could make the most of our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and outside a great barbeque facility. Very clean and comfortable with an extra-large double bed. Robin and Sue - the owners did their best for us. We would definitely come again.Guest rating:
Perfect!
If’s hard to know where to start. From our first contact, Sue and Robin have been brilliant hosts. They have flexed to meet our accommodation needs, generously shared their local knowledge, and most importantly made us feel valued and welcome in their home. Camuzat is a fantastic holiday destination, particularly if you are looking for tranquility and relaxation. Such great hosts and such a brilliant location - w e would definitely recommend. We will be sorry to leave, and hope to return before too long.Guest rating:
Lovely place with a big heart
Camuzat is a safe haven. Unwind, immerse yourself in the beautiful views, visit nice little villages. Robin and Sue are wonderful, gracious and generous hosts. And, not unimportant, great dancers too! I loved it.

Outstanding in its field - literally !
At the end of a track you will find Camuzat , a place we were very sad to leave. Robin and Sue are great hosts and have created a wonderful home from home. The gite is very comfortable with all you need and more. The real highlight though is the location the sun rises across the horizon pool side and sets creating picture postcard scenes from the terraces. Lots to see and do locally when you can tear yourself away from the pool. We are now trying to sort a return visit next year.Guest rating:
We have just returned from our fourth visit in the past four years, a total of ten weeks. We have always found Camuzat a very easy, relaxing place to stay. Sue and Robin are always on hand in a friendly manner, without being intrusive, with help and information. The accommodation is spacious and clean, all linen and towels to a high standard. The kitchen is equipped to all your needs.Within a short drive there are lots of things to do and places to visit in the area, beautiful gardens, local markets and villages etc. There is a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. We also enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Camuzat relaxing by the beautiful pool, taking in the superb panoramic views, or in one of the many seating areas within the very large, well-manicured gardens / orchard. The sunsets from your veranda can be spectacular and not to be missed.Like many travellers, we view many holiday properties hoping to find our ideal. We think that the fact that we have returned several times speaks volumes. We hope to make many more visits.Guest rating:
We have just returned from Camuzat, and words cannot do justice to the experience we had. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and very well appointed .... we felt 'at home' immediately. It's that sort of place! The beds are very comfortable and the linen is of a good standard. Cleanliness is obviously top priority. We were a group of two couples, getting a little passed our 'sell by date', and for us the location was perfect ...... plenty of beautiful little villages to visit, where we had coffee and watched the world go by. While sitting in the enchanting garden/orchard, I could envisage my little grandson, along with his little pals, running around playing games or swimming in the lovely clean pool (where safety is obviously another top priority). Robin and Sue are such wonderful hosts, who go 'above and beyond' what would be expected ..... you could not wish for better! If you think this review is 'too good to be true' ..... you will be in danger of missing-out on a truly amazing experience. Liked best: everything! Liked least: leaving!Guest rating:
This is a gem of a place in southwest France set among rolling fields of sunflowers and vines. Sue & Robin, could not be more helpful or friendly and the accommodation is immaculately presented, spacious, tastefully decorated and very well maintained. The facilities offered, inside and out, are comprehensive including a fabulous large 12m swimming pool, hammocks in the shade and a lovely gazebo to have a quiet end-of-the day relaxing drink. It has a lovely covered outdoor eating area for BBQs. The location and property would be excellent for anyone seeking a quiet completely chilled-out holiday, happy to be self-contained. However, it would also suit families with small children having the choice of days out or sitting by the pool, and there is English freeview TV and a DVD as backup. There are plenty of things to do locally from exploring markets, wine and Armagnac tasting, walks, golf, bicycling - the list goes on. Robin's comprehensive critical review of many of the local restaurant, cafes and bars is both instructive and highly amusing. Sue & Robin are only too pleased to offer advice & help with plotting a day's activities. A wonderful location with everything you could wish for to have a relaxing holiday.Guest rating:
The gite is very well equipped with everything you could need. The welcome pack was really substantial and the best we have had in France. The position of the gite meant it had fantastic views all round giving great sunrises and sunsets. Susie and Robin were both extremely welcoming hosts giving us ideas of places to visit. The pool was lovely and was great for cooling off at the end of a hot day.A great gite with superb views and fantastic pool.......................Guest rating:
