This is a beautiful architectural house situated on the outskirts of Sarlat, it is only a two minute drive to the town centre. The house has stunning panoramic views of the region and overlooks the medieval town of Sarlat. The nearest restaurant is 1.5km from the house and the boulangerie is just 900m.

Outside you can see deers wandering through the garden in search of the windfall fruit, badgers snuffle at the bottom of the garden. In May the cuckoo returns to her nest and sings cheerily, the green woodpecker can be heard in the trees, red squirrels scurry along the paths and cheekily stop to ask for nuts. In early morning you can find an astonishing variety of wild mushrooms, garden morilles can be found in May and in the autumn cepes can be found in the adjoining woods.
The car parking is off road and there is a covered car port.

Sarlat is one of the most fascinating and beautifully restored towns in France, it is the capital of Perigord Noir. Sarlat occupies the top spot in terms of tourists and culture in this region. Over a million visitors discover and rediscover the medieval town every year and it deserves to be explored. The town is full of character and charm with medieval and renaissance houses built in the honey coloured local stone.
There is a large market held every Saturday and a food market every Wednesday morning where you can taste many of the regional delicacies and wines.
The 16th and 17th century architectural treasures are here for your admiration and discovery. All summer there are wonderful musical festivals in nearby towns and numerous nocturnal markets where you can sample all the traditional delights whilst mingling with the locals.
Three of the most beautiful villages of perigord, Domme, Beynac and La Roque Gageac are just 15km from the house. There are many historic chateaux and bastide town close by, as well as prehistoric cave paintings including the famous Lascaux. The french National Museum of Prehistory is just a short distance away.
The Dordogne is one of the most beautiful parts of France, and is well known to the French for its food and wine, leading to the saying 'en Perigord, on mange bien'. The area is the home of the truffle (the black diamond) and the world renowned Foie Gras.
Sarlat is the ideal place to be based for visiting all the major tourist attractions that the Dordogne has to offer.
The Dordogne river is close by and offers canoeing, swimming, fishing and snorkelling in stunning surroundings.
There are nine golf courses within one hours drive from the house.

- All bed linen is included in the price and will be changed free of charge during a two week or more rental .
- A food welcome pack is provided which includes wine, pate, cheese, bread, butter, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice , fresh flowers for bookings of a week or longer.
- Dishwasher detergent etc and toilet rolls are provided.
- A security/damage deposit of £300 is required and will be returned within two weeks of departure.
- You can pay by bank transfer a 25% deposit is required to secure a booking.
- There is a 60 euro laundry and cleaning charge.
- There is a minimum of 2 night stay duration out of high season.
