Villa with heated indoor pool and hot tub, within easy walking distance of the beach. A most pleasant villa with indoor pool, this property lies within walking distance of the beach on a lovely stretch of Brittany’s south coast between Concarneau and Lorient. With the added attractions of a hot tub, sauna and games room, it offers the perfect location for a seaside holiday. The property is furnished and decorated in a homely style, offering all the creature comforts required of a holiday villa. The indoor heated pool and hot tub offer the perfect place for relaxation, whatever the weather any time of the year. In warmer weather sliding doors open up onto a spacious, outdoor terrace which enjoys afternoon and evening sunshine. The enclosed, mature garden is laid mainly to grass, ideal for children with energy to burn off. Hedging offers a good deal of privacy (though slightly overlooked by a neighbouring property). Villa View is situated on a quiet road (directly opposite one of our other properties Mandhura ref 160749) leading to the beach, which is just a short stroll away (400 metres). This Blue Flag beach comprises two sandy coves, one supervised by lifeguards (high season only), divided by a rocky islet accessible to explore on foot at low tide. The nearby village of Kergroes (2.5km) has a bakery and small supermarket, with a larger choice of shops plus restaurants in Moelan sur Mer (6km).
We recommend no more than six adults in the party as one of the twin, and both single bedrooms are more suited to children.

BEACHES
Kerfany (2.5km) A sheltered beach at the mouth of the Belon river supervised by lifeguards (high season only) with a choice of water sports available.
Doelan (11km) The nearby unspoilt fishing port of Doelan is now famous across France. This quiet haven at the mouth of a wooded creek with just a few quayside restaurants, bars and cafes was the location for the hit French TV version of Doc Martin (with the same title as the original UK series).
Le Pouldu (14km) This quiet seaside resort has a choice of sandy beaches.
COASTAL WALKS
With over 700 miles of coastline Brittany offers a great variety of walking for all levels from dramatic cliffs to marshland teeming with wildlife and wooded tidal creeks to long sandy beaches backed by sand dunes. Including a stretch of the coast in a circular walk is often very straightforward. This is especially easy where peninsulas jut out into the sea and following the coast path brings you almost back to your starting point.
DAY TRIP IDEAS
Pont-Aven (17km)
Pont-Aven is a small village famous for its buttery biscuits and numerous art galleries. Many painters, including Gauguin, were attracted by the beauty of Pont-Aven and all the surrounding area. Pont-Aven has many old mills, traditional stone-built houses and many seafood restaurants. The town also hosts a flower festival on the first Sunday in August.
Concarneau (33km)
The main attraction of this important fishing port on the south Brittany coast is Ville Clos, a small walled town built on an island in the natural harbour. Accessed by a bridge from the quayside, the narrow streets within the granite ramparts are lined with shops and restaurants.
Lorient (36km)
Lorient has a rich naval history and the many yachts and buildings surrounding the harbour reflect this as well as the German submarine base which has been turned into a tourist attraction. Why not spend the day in Lorient and hop on a ferry to the Ile de Groix which is located opposite the property. The crossing takes 45 minutes and the island which is the second biggest in Brittany after Belle-Ile has much to offer including lovely beaches, pretty colourful houses in the village, market twice a week and you can even hire bikes to cycle around the island on cycle paths over moorland, hidden coves and many beautiful beaches.
La Forêt-Fouesnant (41km)
Pretty coastal Breton village set in a wooded area between Concarneau and Bénodet. There is lots to do and visit here with a number of footpaths and hiking trails, the old harbour and the superb granite church, the long sandy beach and the marina “Port-La-Forêt”, the third biggest marina in South Brittany, where you can find some of the greatest offshore racing skippers.
Ile de Groix (53km)
The island is accessible by boat from Lorient. The crossing lasts about 50 minutes and the landmarks worth seeing are Port-Louis 16th century fortification, the Grands Sables beach and the Pen Men lighthouse. The island has a wonderful landscape with high and jagged cliffs, seashell beaches as well as coves with red sand or wide stretches of thin and white sand. It is also home of bird reserve which protects a wide range of seabirds.
Quimper (53km)
Although it has a feel of a small village Quimper is Brittany’s Finistere capital. With its slanted half-timbered houses and narrow cobbled streets, great museums, excellent “crêperies”, famous pottery and one of Brittany’s most delightful setting along the Odet river Quimper is a jewel waiting to be discovered.
Carnac (79km)
Carnac has the rather unusual juxtaposition of being a very popular seaside resort with lovely sandy beaches and home to one of the world’s most important prehistoric sites. Over 3000 stones of varying, yet unusually modest, proportions lie in densely packed parallel alignments, stretching for over one kilometre.

Parc du Quinquis (15km) in Clohars Carnoët: Family run park including a variety of animals (kangaroos, goats, donkeys, deer, peacocks and more) roaming freely whilst visitors can mingle within this preserved botanical park.

Fantastic villa! 5 star
From start to finish the villa was amazing including the staff and booking process. Villa was equipped with everything we needed, pool and hot tub were superb and the children spent many hours in them! Fantastic customer service from booking through to communications in general. Your final directions are too vague. Suggest 'Go through the hamlet of Kergroes and continue for approximately 1 km. Then take the turning left to Plage de Trenez. A few metres after the second (saying last is confusing) speed ramp.. There seemed to be a small leak in the hot tub which we had to keep topping up. Vanessa is aware of this. A number of the bedside lamps were not working.Not major issues then and we might well be interested in visiting again next year. When would you start to take bookings?

Having booked our villa just as the pandemic started, I would like to thank Christophe and the team at Select Villas for their splendid work in keeping us informed about the booking and subsequent rebooking twice, before we were able to enjoy our holiday this year.
When we reached Villa View, a little later than expected, due to general immigration delays at Caen, we were able to enter the Villa to explore and start to unpack. Around 9pm we met Vanessa (the key holder) a very nice lady who showed us all the necessary technical things we needed to know. The Villa on arrival was clean and welcoming, and the children couldn’t wait till the morning to try out the pool.
Our only downside was that the WI-Fi was very poor. After a conversation with Vanessa she arranged for engineers to come and try to fix it, however the fault lay outside the Villa and the road would have to be dug up. Evenings were spent playing cards, board games and conversation.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Select Villas in the future.Guest rating:
We had an excellent holiday at Villa View which is very well located 300m from the beautiful (wild) beach of Trenez and from where walks of less than an hour by the sea lead to other magical places. (Ria de Brigneau, Kerfany beach). The villa is very well equipped for holiday purposes with its swimming pool and its games (table football, pool table, table tennis table) and is made for enjoying relaxing times.
We were very well welcomed by Vanessa, who always made herself available. In addition, the villa is located 2 km from the village of Kergroes (especially great for the bakery and the pizzeria La Veranda), and all the shops are accessible in Moëlan (less than 5km, market on Tuesdays, and artisanal butcher at the Proxi Market). In conclusion, Villa View is an ideal place for (large) family holidays).Guest rating:

Hi Christophe, We had a fantastic stay in Villa View, we were very impressed by the fantastic facilities and it was perfect for the whole family! The house was well equipped, the location was beautiful and we felt very lucky to be so close to the coast. Communication was excellent both with yourselves and whilst away. One thing we raised with the hosts was the issue with the oven. On our last night we realised the hob had dropped in its fixing and was starting to catch fire which could have been dangerous had we not spotted it so quickly. We had a lovely holiday and found the house served our needs perfectly. We loved the pool and the hot tub! The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. We loved the fact that there were so many bathrooms and all the showers worked well! And the area was lovely. The keyholder was very nice and welcoming and flexible about allowing us to check out at the end 30 mins later.

The villa was well presented and very clean. The pool, steam room & jacuzzi were all top notch and a full support was available from the very helpful on site agent (Vanessa) if required. The villa had every convenience & was situated less than 10mins walk from a super little beach with a cafe. It's also within easy driving distance of the major attractions in Concarneau, Lorient & Vannes. The local Intermarche was also really well stocked and the staff were very helpful it's also open on Sunday mornings! The villa exceeded our expectations & we had a great holiday

Two families combined to stay at this property. Perfectly set up property with enough space for everyone. Pool and games room were a great success for both adults and children alike. Rooms were comfortable with enough storage for clothing and shutters at each window. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped but would probably recommend taking any utensils that you prefer to cook with (they didn't appear to have a pizza tray, baking trays or pizza cutter!) Overall this has been the ideal property for a family with mixed ages of children and we will be booking again.
