Outside:
In the summer we hope you’ll spend most of your time outside. The 10m x 5m pool is a major feature of the house, sharing spectacular views of Tourrettes and the mountains beyond with the main terrace. The pool is equipped with a removable safety fence. The outside dining area with a large gas-fired barbeque and a huge marble table is shaded from the sun during the day. The sunsets over Tourrettes are spectacular and best enjoyed with a glass of local wine on the terrace. The house is approached via wrought iron gates and is surrounded by around 1.7 acres of terraced gardens. There is a double carport and plenty of parking space. The basement houses a laundry room with washing machine, ironing board and large fridge, a boiler room and a very large games room with a table tennis table. This room has double doors opening onto the lower terrace.
Fayence has a number of very good restaurants and is a 5 mins drive. There are 3 large supermarkets within 10 mins drive. Fayence airfield is acknowledged as one of Europe's leading gliding centres.
The nearest beach is at St Raphael, but all of the beaches of the Cote D'Azur are within easy driving distance. The Lac de Cassien is also within about 15 mins drive and and offers watersports - windsurfing, rowing, pedaloing, swimming and fishing.
The house is a 5 minutes drive (or a 25 minutes walk) from the shops and restaurants of Fayence which adjoins Tourettes. The A8 (Junction 39) is about 15 mins drive. This gives access to Frejus and St Tropez to the West, Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo to the East. We suggest hiring a car from Nice Airport or Fayence.

We stayed in Villa Jacaranda for one week with two families and had a very good time. The villa is very comfortable, well equipped and has a great view from the large terrace and pool. We had a very pleasant contact with the owner who is willing to give you all information needed for a pleasant stay. There is a lot to see and do in the area, such as canoeing on Lac St Cassien, a walk to Tourrettes and Fayence, and even the Gorges du Verdon (rafting, hiking) can be reached within a beautiful 1,5 hours drive.Guest rating:
We have just completed a two week stay at Jacaranda and have been entirely satisfied. Five adults and two 10 year olds were adequately catered for in the spacious accommodation. The house is superbly equipped and the pool was used by all daily. The weather was equally spectacular and the barbecue meant in house cooking was minimal with its daily use. The location is perfect for visiting the coast or inland villages and the views from sunrise and especially sunset were divine.Guest rating:
We stayed two families (4 adults and 4 girls - 2 aged 9 and 2 at 12) in Villa Jacaranda in the third week of July 2018, and we had a fantastic vacation. The house is wonderful and lives up to the description; the terrace is fantastic with the most beautiful view of Tourrettes and the mountains, the pool is spacious with several fun toys for the kids (and grow-ups), there are many cosy corners inside and outside, the kitchen is well equipped, and the house is perfect for two families - eight people - with enough sleeping rooms and bathrooms. We loved it. The hosts were very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. Mrs and Mr Clayton answered our questions about renting bikes, walking trails, restaurants, etc., and they had many great recommendations for places to visit and for eating. The house also has its own binder with many tips for tours to e.g. the beautiful villages in the area. Sylvette - the French lady, who looks after the house - was very approachable and friendly too and took her time to introduce us to the house when we arrived and kindly followed up on our stay at departure. We highly recommend staying at Villa Jacaranda.Guest rating:
We had a fabulous time at Villa Jacaranda, Sylvette showed us around the accommodation on arrival which was spotless, very clean, plenty of kitchen equipment and there is also gas BBQ. The pool was a good size and the outside balcony is very spacious with plenty of seating options. We enjoyed a walk across to the wine bar in Tourettes one evening, the fireworks at Cannes (an annual pyrotechnic competition, well worth the visit), a day at the lake to use the pedaloes, paddle boards or inflatable obstacle course (although traffic can get busy so leave early), we also fit in Fayence and Mons. We all had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Roger was extremely helpful and was in regular contact ahead of our arrival to help us with any questions and to advise us on directions to get there.Guest rating:
We travelled for 11 days to Villa Jacaranda end of June. We had planned this trip just around Christmas time and were so excited about visiting the south of France. The owner, Roger, could not of been more kind, accommodating and helpful during the booking. We were two families vacationing together and the layout of the Villa was absolutely perfect. The outside space was so spectacular and the pictures hardly did it justice. We spent every late afternoon swimming in the pool with the most gorgeous vistas in the distance. We had cocktails and cheese boards and barbecues until the sun went down. The outside chaises were perfect for a big group as was the large dining table for alfresco seating. Inside the Villa was fantastic as well; plenty of space, updated everything, open air, bright, light and beautiful furnishings. Their kitchen was well-equipped and we are big foodies and love to cook, so that mattered to us. Silvette, who cared for the home, was wonderful and met us the first day to lead us to the Villa and was there to help with any questions we had. The area was fantastic for exploring shopping, eating, and wine country, too. V. Jacaranda is a true gem and I'd never book elsewhere if I return.Guest rating:
This was our third visit to this area of France and every year the holidays just get better. This Villa was outstanding in every aspect.
From the moment we contacted the owner to book the villa, the agent (Pascal) who dealt with us on arrival to the villa itself - every experience was fantastic.
The holiday at this villa has to be one of the most enjoyable family holidays we have ever had. The photographs on the website cannot convey how breath taking the views from the patio and pool are. The Villa is really well equipped and it perfectly located for any activity you would wish to try. OR, as we did, spend hours lounging by the fantastic pool. If you and yours are looking for a great villa experience in the South of France you would find it hard to better this one. Our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed for another week (or two!)Guest rating:
It exceeded all our expectations with spacious rooms for our large party of 9, all beautifully equipped and decorated. The pool and terrace were fabulous and eating out at the huge marble table, overlooking stunning views, was a daily delight. In the evening, we swam in the pool or sat in comfort on the terrace, watching the stars appear, while drinking the local rose. We were truly relaxed and very well looked after by Pascal, who was very helpful and friendly. Exploring the nearby towns and villages was a pleasure and we met many friendly locals. We would recommend Villa Jacaranda highly and can't wait to return.

I booked Villa Jacaranda nearly a year in advance. I wanted somewhere to spend for a month to celebrate my first summer in retirement. I made the booking based on the description and the photographs on the Owners Direct website. I was going to be there with my wife, her two daughters aged 14, going on 18, and my daughter who would have her 13th birthday there. As soon as we arrived we all fell in love with the place, it was even better than we had imagined. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and as the sun moves round (well yes I do know the earth moves round the sun) the colours on the hillside opposite change. We were joined by other members of the family throughout the month and it was very comfortable for 9. We explored the area and once we had found the back road to Fayence we drove there regularly, it's a lovely town. There are so many places to visit, easily accessible by car. We went to Nice, Villefranche, Cannes, St Tropez and many more of the beautiful places on the Côte d'Azur as well as visiting local spots like the village of Mons and Lac St Cassien. A month wasn't enough to get the full benefit of the location.
The villa is very comfortable and extremely well-equipped. There is plenty of space to relax in the sun or in the shade and we spent several days just lazing round the pool.
Anyone who books this villa could not possibly be disappointed. Even our sceptical girls loved it!Guest rating:
We've just returned from a gorgeous 2 weeks at villa Jacaranda, comfortable, spacious and with the best views in the area. There was plenty of room for our large family group. We were very well informed by the owners beforehand and very well looked after by the local manager, Pascal, while we were there.
There's lots to do locally; a short hop to a beautiful lake for swimming, pedalos, canoes etc. There are lots of lovely villages to visit with typically Provencal markets and restaurants, some perched high with amazing views to the coast. Plus all the attractions of the Cote D'Azur under an hour away. But really you will just want to stay at home, lounging on the huge terrace, swimming in the lovely pool and just gazing at the fabulous view with a glass of wine until the sun goes down over the mountains.Guest rating:
The 180 degree views over to Fayence and surrounds really make this a special villa to relax in. We spent two fantastic weeks here with 4 children under 11 and it was safe (pool area is securely fenced), with utility room for inevitable laundry, loads of fridge space & with plenty of room inside & out for everyone to relax or run around!
The charming property manager, Pascal clearly explained the villa to us and was just a call away for help. The villa was easy to locate, spotlessly clean & is furnished as new- comfortably with great quality linen and towels and a good range of cooking equipment & a BBQ (you must try Merguez sausages)!
It is the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful area - we've been visiting for a decade and Villa Jacaranda is top of our list for views, ease of access to supermarkets & all round relaxing - especially to watch the sun sink behind the hills with an ice cold glass of local rosé.
You'll need a car but the hill up to the villa makes a perfect morning hike to wear off any overindulgence!
Roger the owner was prompt and professional in answering any queries and for completing the booking process. I highly recommend this villa.
Guest rating:
This was our first holiday in a villa and feel very spoilt by the accommodation, location and views. We were a family of six adults, a teenager and two seven year olds. The pool is excellent, it's big enough to swim in whilst the children play. The views are outstanding and the location is private and peaceful without being too remote. The accommodation is really spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished, inside and out. You definitely need a car but if you are of general good fitness, a brisk walk will take you to the beautiful village of Tourrettes (about 25mins) and a further 5mins to Fayence, where there are plenty of shops/bars/restaurants. Although the walk is very pleasant, we chose to drive to Fayence in the evening as we felt the return walk was a little too much for the little ones. Fayence has a huge, free car park so parking was never an issue. We visited many places along the coast, all within about 60 to 90 minutes away (due to peak season traffic, 40mins in less busy times) and explored the Verdon Gorge. We also spent a lot of time at the Lac de Cassien where we hired pedalos and boats (about 10mins by car). We found the hire charges cheap (about 10€ for a pedalo for half an hour). There is also an area with huge inflatable's that you can climb/slide off/fall off!!! Again this was really good value for money at 5€ for half an hour. You can also swim in the lake and the food was really good and cheap! The agent and owner were both really helpful. There is plenty of information in the villa on the surrounding area, things to do etc. We spent more time in the villa than we anticipated as it was so ideal for our family and would highly recommend it. The quality and the location of the villa gave us a perfect family holiday.
