An ideal house for a family/group holiday. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors, a fantastic pool, and a great location on the edge of town, an easy walk to shops, restaurants and facilities. There are lots of activities in the area and other towns and villages to visit, or you could easily spend your whole stay relaxing by the pool and strolling into town occasionally. We were reassured by all the other positive reviews and weren't disappointed.Guest rating:
Good house in an excellent location, spacious rooms ,super outdoor areas and great pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas . St Antonin Noble Val was 5mins walk away and a delight to wander the medieval streets or just stop and have coffee . Sunday market a must and plenty of restaurants to try . Lovely walks along the river and canoeing if feeling energetic. Would recommend .Guest rating:
Maison Michel: a fantastic place to spend your holiday
This is the second time we have been to Maison Michel and this time we stayed 2 weeks. We had various visitors and at one point we were 8 in total. The house is well equipped for this number of people and we had a brilliant time. There are 4 double bedrooms, 3 showers, 3 toilets and 2 bedrooms are equipped with a washbasin. We never felt on top of each other because of the fantastic downstairs lounge/ dining room and the spacious kitchen. There is also a huge garage with a full size table tennis table and bikes. Apart from ping-pong tournaments, we spent most of our time outside and this is really what makes the house so wonderful. There is a huge outside patio where you can find a big table and a smaller one to sip your coffee. The swimming pool is big and has loungers and 2 parasols and is a brilliant place to relax and sunbathe. The pool is at the same level throughout and an adult ( I am 5 foot 2) can stand up no problem. There is also an alarm for safety.
Apart from the size of the house, the brilliant outside ( there is a built in barbecue on the patio), the table tennis and the bikes... there are 2 other things which make it the perfect holiday home for me: the views and the proximity to St Antonin. The views from the patio and the swimming pool are breathtaking and you are a 5 min walk from all the amenities - restaurants, cafés, bakeries, supermarket ..... You can leave your car and not use it for a week.
St Antonin is a beautiful small medieval town with plenty of restaurants, cafés and shops and the proximity of the river ( once again 5 min walk from the house) means that you can go swimming, fishing or canoeing anytime you want. We did some lovely but challenging runs/ walks - you can buy a guide with lots of walks all starting from St Antonin at the tourist office or the newsagents, visited some beautiful villages ( Penne) and went wine tasting in Gaillac. There is also a fantastic market on Sundays - it is very popular so you need to get there early and we went to a Marché gourmand one evening where you are sat on long tables and there are stalls selling food, wine, bread ... You just go and buy what you want. It was great.
Some of our friends/ family flew to Toulouse to be with us: the drive is about 1h 15 min and very straight forward. However there is also the possibility of trains to Toulouse from Caussade or Lexos and then a shuttle from the train station to the airport.
The region is beautiful, the weather was great, the food and wine are delicious and the house is perfectly situated. We will be back.Guest rating:
We had stayed in Saint Antonin 10 years ago and had visited the surrounding area at that time. This year we were looking for a relaxing holiday in a house within easy reach of all amenities and that is exactly what Maison Michel offered. The proximity to Saint Antonin allowed us to stroll to the bakery every morning for fresh bread and pastries, in for morning coffee in the buzzy square, in for evening drinks/dinner in the many bars/restaruants and in to the renowned Sunday morning market to buy lots of fresh produce knowing that we'd have it in the fridge within 5 minutes. At other times we sat on the shaded outdoor terrace, equipped with very comfortable furniture or at the lovely pool area which is very well set up with good quality sun loungers and umbrellas. We used the barbecue a number of times, and ate all our meals outdoors enjoying the wonderful views from the property. Overall this is a very comfortable property, the only caution I would add is that the 2 upstairs bedrooms can get very warm in fine weather.Guest rating:
We very much enjoyed our stay at Maison Michel and would like to leave the following review:

We really liked the house – we used the garage for ping pong!
The pool was fab – really great to have decent sized pool and lovely beds and cushions.
Great location for town.
