Reading the other reviews it has all been said before. The house was fabulous and without fault and the hosts were without question the most accommodating we have ever come across. The best compliment we can give is that we were unable to say goodbye so booked for three weeks next summer before our departure. This made the leaving less painful! So Keith and Karen it is 'Jusqu'à l'année prochaine' x (The Best of Dublin)
Guest rating:
We booked this villa for our family holiday with our best friends hoping that the photos were not 'too good to be true' as we have been mistaken before. However, that could not have been further from the truth. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. Keith and Karen could not have been more attentive, without being intrusive. They were there to help if ever we needed them, and had some great ideas and suggestions to help us make the most of the holiday. Everything described in the listing was accurate but does not do justice to how wonderful this property and these owners are. Would definitely recommend this to families looking for a fantastic holiday, and we will be back as soon as we can.

Guest rating:
Glorious in every respect. The setting and surrounding countryside are fantastic. The Leatherbarrows must be the most hospitable hosts ever. The stay was huge fun especially the kayaking trip and the village organised walk/run to the stunningly situated Chateau du Avalon. The village hall shindig afterwards was a hoot even though it was conducted in French and we had no idea what was going on! Fantastic!
Guest rating:
This is the most beautiful holiday destination that we have ever stayed in. The house, the gardens, the pool, the village, the Gorges du Lot, it has it all. And that is without mentioning the generosity and kindness of the owners, Keith and Karen. They treat their guests as friends and are so helpful in ensuring that their guests are having a great time. The house has it all. It is so good that we have stayed there five successive years. We have had such wonderful memories with our parents and our children in this beautiful home. If you manage to book the Manoir in Lacroix Barrez you will have the Gods and the sun shining on you!!!

What a great place. Karen looked after us fantastic time had spent most days at the pool after morning walks in the country.. would recommend it for major chill out.. village shop just 2 mins walk plus a small local bar for pre-dinner drinks..already booked again for next year.
Guest rating:
We had heard of the property through a personal recommendation - we are so glad that we took it up because this was a wonderful place to stay!!!
An idyllic setting, and a genuinely lovely traditional French property - baroque styling, lovely grounds and aspect, and makes a wonderful place to stay for large groups (or smaller ones!)
The property itself is set in a nice village and the house is tastefully furnished. The cottage has also been furnished to a high standard and although we did not stay in same, it would make an ideal retreat for a small family etc.
All the necessary amenities are provided and overall it was a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.
A final word to Keith and Karen, who are courteous owners and handled the whole booking process most efficiently.
Guest rating:
We have stayed at the Manor House several times over the past few years and have yet to be disappointed. From traveling with teenagers and pulling in all the local attractions, including the Millau Bridge, to a quiet weekend away to escape the hustle and stress of our working lives, Lacroix Barrez has it all.
The setting is idyllic, the house roomy with all your home comforts and more (unfortunately we've no pool at home!) and the location perfect for exploring rural France at its best.
As hosts, Keith and Karen are warm and friendly and on hand to provide advice or help with anything you require but can also be invisible if peace, tranquility, and solitude are the order of the day.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending families or groups of varying sizes to stay hear to enjoy one of the best holiday experiences possible. We shall definitely be returning.
