Fabulous 4 bed/3 bathroom, mountain views, stroll to beach, private heated pool. You’ll love our gorgeous 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa with spectacular panoramic views towards the foothills of the Pyrenees. A beautiful Mediterranean villa, offering 160 m2 of living space located just a 10 minute walk from the charming seafront, beach and marina of Banyuls sur mer. Take breakfast each morning on the lovely upstairs terrace and watch the sun set from your own heated private pool on the garden terrace.
Your family and friends will enjoy the generous and carefully considered living areas, little ones, teens or grandparents can each have their own space, plus more than enough room for everyone to be together, inside or out. The villa has large terraces overlooking the private, heated pool and the old village; one on the ground floor by the pool and the other on the first floor. The pool is approx 6 metres X 3 metres, depth 1.6 metres throughout apart from the ledge at the top end curve.The garden is bordered on one side by an olive terrace and the local railway line running one way to the picturesque town of Collioure and in the other direction Port Bou and Spain. The terrace on the first floor leading from the lounge area, has a table to seat 8 and terrace furniture. On the ground floor the shady terrace has a table to seat 8 and a plancha for cooking al fresco. The terraces look over the heated pool and mountain view and are completely private.
The property was completed in 2012 and is fully furnished in a clean contemporary style with wooden floors and light coloured tiling throughout.
The carefully thought out layout of the villa ensures that there are plenty of areas for guests to have their own space; this works really well when there are maybe two couples or a family made up of different age groups.
The main living accommodation is situated on the first floor in order to take full advantage of its elevated position and is made up of:
- Spacious lounge/dining room with 2 pairs of French windows opening onto a large terrace overlooking the pool and garden. The terrace is equipped with teak table and chairs for 8.
- Fully equipped kitchen, with breakfast bar, dishwasher, eye level oven, gas hob, microwave and large fridge freezer.
- Double aspect double bedroom with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom with shower, wc and bath.
- Stairs lead down to 2 double bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, one with en-suite shower and wc, doors to pool terrace, the other double bedroom with access to a separate wc and shower room.
- Bedroom 4 with bunkbeds.
- Door to shaded dining terrace with table and seating for 8, heated pool and garden terrace.
There is off road parking for two vehicles.
This detatched villa is situated on a sunny hillside nestling in a vine covered valley where the mountains meet the sparkling Méditerranéen Sea in the charming French town of Banyuls sur mer. A quiet road leads to the palm fringed promenade, picturesque marina and large safe family beach of Banyuls sur mer, which takes about 15 minutes strolling or 5 minutes in the car There are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and plenty of shops for daily necessities and holiday shopping for souvenirs. The marble palazzo plays host to a variety of entertainment during the summer season with music of some sort most evenings. Or take your coffee and croissant there in the morning sunshine and then stroll across the road to take your first dip of the day in the clear waters of the Mediterranean.
Collioure, Perpignan, Barcelona, Montpellier, Ski stations and Cathar castles! All within easy daytrip distance from our beautiful villa on the Cote Vermeille.
Banyuls enjoys an exceptionally sheltered position. It lies at the southern end of the Cote Vermeille in the foothills of the Pyrenees and has a pretty yachting marina. The town has developed without spoiling its charm, and is set against a stunning backdrop of vineyards and olive groves, around the wide bay and seafront with its cluster of bars, cafes and restaurants, discretely dotted between the ubiquitous palm trees. It is not just a popular holiday destination but also a real working community. The surrounding hills are a paradise for walkers.The coastline offers clear blue sparkling waters and sheltered rocky coves, perfect for sunbathing swimming and snorkelling . Diving and sailing centres abound giving those that wish, the opportunity to explore the marine life of the clear warm waters. Banyuls is famous for its wine and a festival is held each year in October, culminating in an enormous feast on the beach. There are several well known wine domaines to visit plus the home of the celebrated artist Maillol which is now a museum.The picturesque town of Collioure, famous for its art is only a short drive, bus or train ride. Barcelona and Andorra are within easy reach and the nearest ski resort is only 2 hours drive away.
Languedoc Roussillon:
Languedoc Roussillon is France’s southernmost region bordered by Spain,
Andorra and the Pyrenees Mountains and boasts everything from mountains and rivers to lakes and the Mediterranean.
The region has a long coastline of virtually uninterrupted white sandy beaches and quiet sheltered coves, picturesque fishing villages and ports. Watersports including wind/kite surfing, sailing, canoeing, diving and water sking can be found on the coast whilst activities such as canyoning, mountain biking, rock climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, hiking and golf are also just nearby. The Pyrenean ski resorts are just a 2 hour drive away.
The region is littered with historical monuments, abbeys and cathar castles and boasts several UNESCO World Heritage sites: The Pont Du Gard, the Canal du Midi, the Compostela. A short trip over the border into Spain finds you in Figueras where you can visit the famous Dali museum.
The region is famous for it’s great painters like Matisse and Picasso who found inspiration in the beauty and light of ports such as Collioure, Banyuls, Port Vendre and Cerbere. Perpigan, with it’s strong Catalan roots will satisfy your taste for chic boutiques, busy pavement bars cafes and restaurants.
The local culture is brought to life in carnivals and festivals such as the traditional celebrations of the bull, the bear, the orange, olive, grape and truffle which spring up throughout the region during the year. During July and August music fesivals are held in most towns.
Languedoc is an exciting region to visit at any time of the year and the climate is warm and sunny with over 300 days of sunshine each year.

We stayed here for a week in August 2019 (family of 5). It's not often you stay in a holiday villa that immediately feels like it could be your own home, but that's definitely how we felt here. Everything about it was just right - how well equipped it is, the comfortable furnishings, the way it's decorated, the spacious layout... Easily enough room for all five of us to spread out comfortably and enjoy staying here. The highlight is the private, sunny outside patio / pool area with a perfect mix of shaded space and sunny spots throughout the day. All peaceful, quiet and relaxing with amazing views over the mountains beyond. The welcome and all communication with the owners was positive and helpful. And Banyuls sur Mer is a brilliant place - the town with all the restaurants, shops, a large Carrefour supermarket just around the corner, the atmosphere of the town and the beach... And the other nearby towns along the coast (Collouire, the snorkelling trail at Cerebre being great examples)... The whole region was brilliant and beautiful to visit. We loved our stay here and such a high quality, well-equipped villa made it extra special - definitely highly recommended!Guest rating:

We enjoyed our stay with some very comfortably designed living areas including the living room and pool area. Kevin the owner was great, helpful with recommendations and responded very quickly to any issues we had. It is a great base to explore the area and within easy walking distance of the beach and town, the air conditioning in the main bedroom was a godsend!

Thank you Jill and Kevin for such a wonderful holiday. The villa is beautifully laid out, with all of the amenities you could need. There was plenty of space for inside and outside dining, and privacy from neighbours. The pool was glorious, and much-needed during the hot weather!! The welcome picnic was an added bonus, and went down very well on our first night! Banyuls-sur-mer itself is a lovely, lively town. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we were treated to live music in the square on a couple of nights! The locals are very friendly and happy to give recommendations for places to visit. An excellent holiday!! Thanks again.

We've just returned from an excellent holiday at Banyuls-sur-mer. The villa itself was perfect, beautifully presented and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Kevin met us on arrival to show where everything was, they had even left a welcome pack including bread, cheese and wine which was a lovely touch!
Our 4 year old son absolutely loved the heated pool and was in it every day.
The villa is within about 15 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops at the marina. The town isn't overly touristy which was great and we found some excellent restaurants. We would definitely recommend a hire car to get around and visit all the local areas.
The owners were also very helpful and quick at responding to messages. Thanks for a lovely holiday Kevin and Gill!

What a great house and superb facilities!the house is secluded and very privet but at the same time within walking distance to local restaurants, shops, wineyard and beach. It was very spacious for 6 adults plus 2 kids and facilities were more than we expected. Excellent furnished kitchen with all utensile than you can dream off (including coffee maker and even wide selections of spices) and great bathrooms and bedrooms. Swimming pool was very clean and warm and we thoroughly enjoyed a swim every day.we were welcomed with a selection of local wine and champagne and also a selection of pate, cheese and crisps which was really nice touch.
We recommend a visit to a nearby winery (terres de templieres) and also a visit to a nearby Spanish town Roses (it is circa 1.5 hrs drive but the road is great with scenic views an the sandy beach is beautifull with excellent facilities. Prices there are also very reasonable)
Overall the villa offers more than it says in the description and we would definitely stay here again.

We spent three weeks in this lovely villa and could easily have stayed three more. It is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The terraces are perfect for dining al fresco and relaxing and the interior is of a very high standard. We swam in the pool every day and never tired of the view out to the mountains. The beautiful town of Banyuls is just a short stroll away and has plenty of bars, restaurants and places of interest. The local beaches are glorious with crystal clear water. Thank you Kevin and Jill for your help - we would love to return one day.

We were welcomed warmly, and enjoyed our stay very much. The villa was immaculate and comfortable, with plenty of space inside and out - ideal for young families who need to be able to spend time at home. It is a short walk to the seafront, and there is plenty to do in Banyuls and the local area. We recommend the aquarium and the Mediterranean garden!

- 600 euros damage deposit to be paid on booking. This will be refunded less any costs incurred withing 2 weeks of departure.

The client will remain liable to pay the balance unless the owner is able to re let the property. Any expenses or losses incurred in doing so will be deducted from the refundable amount.
