About the house:
Villa La Peyriere is a beautiful holiday rental accommodation nestled within the scenic landscape of Sarlat. Its origins trace back to two old stone barns which have been meticulously refurbished into a comfortable residence. This careful renovation process has effectively fused the house's historical charm with contemporary kitchen and bathroom amenities.
The villa's setting is nothing short of idyllic, encompassing a generous 2100 square metre area with luxuriant gardens which offer stunning views of the luscious surrounding valley. It is also just a stone's throw away from Sarlat's medieval quarter, being only 600 metres away.
A key outdoor feature of the villa is a well-maintained private pool, measuring 7 by 4 meters, with the added convenience of sun loungers and umbrellas ensuring a comfortable lounging experience. Adjacent to the villa's exterior are two splendid terraces, adorned with lush gardens, a variety of trees, and the occasional presence of birds.
The first terrace provides a delightful al fresco dining experience, complete with dual BBQ facilities - gas and wood, along with a large dining table. This enables guests to savor their meals while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. The second terrace serves as a serene oasis, perfect for a revitalizing morning coffee or a calming, picturesque evening beverage, surrounded by a captivating landscape of fig trees, lavender bushes, and rose plants.

The Rooms of Villa La Peyrière:
Master bedroom - The master bedroom in Villa La Peyriere is a beautifully lit room with a spacious queen-size bed (153cm x 203cm), an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette, and a sitting area. It also includes a flat-screen TV with a DVD library and an iPod docking station. Although connected to the rest of the house, the master bedroom has its own private entrance.
Two Double bedrooms - Villa La Peyriere also features two double bedrooms. One of them sleeps two guests in a large queen-size bed (160cm x 200cm) with high-quality fittings and shares a bathroom with the other double bedroom. The second double bedroom also sleeps two guests and is furnished with a double bed (140cm x 200cm).
Two Bathrooms - The villa offers two bathrooms in total, with one of them being the en-suite in the master bedroom.
The Kitchen – The cozy kitchen is designed in a farmhouse style with a fireplace and is fully equipped with an oven, cook top, dishwasher, and microwave. You'll find essential pantry items such as olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, tea, and coffee, all provided for your convenience. Don't forget to visit the extensive herb garden to add some flavor to your culinary creations.
Lounge / Dining room - The living and dining area is quite spacious, with a vintage wood burner on one side and French doors opening to the garden on the other. A stunning antique dining table, designed by a European designer using Australian silky oak, is placed in front of the fireplace, accompanied by inviting, large couches. The living room is equipped with streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime as well as English and French free to air Television with 2024 Olympic coverage. There is also a DVD player with a library of DVDs, and a sound system with an iPod docking station.
The Sitting Room - A sandstone-built sitting room connects the two former barns and offers a lovely spot for reading or unwinding.
While you do not need a car while staying at Villa La Peyriere and are walking distance to all that Sarlat has to offer you will need a car to explore the surrounding area as public transport is very limited.
Located in the historic market town of Sarlat, Villa La Peyriere offers the perfect setting for exploring Perigord and the Dordogne.
Sarlat is centred in the heart of Perigord Noir and makes an excellent base from which to discover the local medieval and historic towns and villages such as Domme, Saint Cyprian, Les Eyzies, Montignac and Racamadour.
There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, canoeing or fishing in either the Dordogne or the Vezere Rivers or just laze about the pool enjoying the summer sun.
There are also several excellent markets in the local towns and villages, including the fabulous Sarlat Market held on a Wednesday and Saturday where local gourmet delicacies such as truffles, fois gras, local cheese and wine are on offer to the discerning palette.
