We really enjoyed our week at Les Deux Cypres in St Laurent de la Cabrerisse. The location is perfect for visiting the river swimming places in Ribaute and Lagrasse and even more locally at The Cascades de la Nielle on the outskirts of the village. The beach at Leucate was only 40 minutes away and is well worth a trip. The villa itself is well equipped and spacious and we were very happy with our choice.

We stayed for 2 weeks in early September 2018 and can honestly say that it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. My wife and I together with our 4 adult children and 2 of their partners enjoyed a very comfortable stay in this lovely villa which had everything required and more.
The pool was in use nearly every day as we were blessed with great weather.
The village is within easy walking distance and has everything you would need, bars, restaurants, boulangerie and a chemist.
We would have no hesitation in booking this villa again and probably will. Susan and Ronald who look after the property were very good and most helpful.Guest rating:
We spent one week in this fantastic villa. Both adults and teenagers (we were eight persons) had a wonderful time staying here. The house was very spacious, airconditioned and well equipped. We did not miss anything! The outdoor area was fantastic - much better than what we could see from the pictures – with a beautiful garden with areas for eating, relaxation and sun-bathing. We also enjoyed the view of the green hills and the sound of the crickets. We frequently used the bicycles to get down to St. Laurent in about five minutes to buy food at the local bakery and the butcher. This is a very small village which also has a couple of restaurants, a grocery shop and a pharmacy. The locals hardly spoke any English, but with the help from Google Translate and body language we were able to communicate. Just down the road there is a local vineyard, Domaine Du Pech De L’Escale, and one evening they arranged a jazz concert serving tapas and local wine. They could also give tours in the vineyard, but unfortunately we discovered this too late during our stay and were not able to attend to this. We combined the week in St. Laurent with a couple of days in Carcassonne, visiting the old walled city and watching the Tour the France. The fortress is known to be the best preserved medieval city in Europe. We will aboslutely recommend a visit here. We will give the villa our best recommandations, and a big thank you to Susan and Ron for the warm welcome and excellent service during our stay.

We have just returned from a lovely 2 week stay in the Villa. As per previous reviews, the photos really do not show how lovely this villa is!
We travelled as a family of five, with 2 teenagers and one 10 year old. The villa gave us space to be able to have time alone and together and was light and airy throughout. The villa is well equipped with everything you need - the coffee machine and well equipped kitchen were much appreciated.
The pool is beautiful and the views from the pool and terrace are stunning. The villa is not overlooked yet really close to the heart of the village which we found to be very welcoming. There is a local bar and two restaurants which we frequented - we had many meals at the one which is next to the spar shop - doesn't look much from outside but it is worth a visit and although is upstairs and indoors it has aircon and the owner and his staff were very welcoming.
We have stayed in many homes in France over the years and as a family we all agreed that this was the nicest we had stayed in!
Thank you to Sue and Ron for their warm welcome - the house was spotlessly clean and obviously well loved and maintained. Whilst we had no issues whilst we were there we knew they were on hand if needed.

This is a wonderful villa in a great setting with every thing you need for a comfy home from home set up. Susan was so helpful from start to finish ; we really couldn't ask for more.
The village is so close that a walk to the boulangerie for the daily treats is a must and the spar is so well stocked you really don't need to go else where.
Local co-operative vineyard makes for a great visit where the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful.
Def a place to put on the return list.Guest rating:
My family and friends had the pleasure of staying in this villa for 4 weeks and the experience from start to finish has been amazing. We dealt with Ron and Susan the management team from the beginning and not only were they lovely people they were extremely helpful and accommodating with everything. Anything that we needed was never too much trouble and they were always on the end of the phone or email anytime day or night. The villa itself could not have been more perfect (the pictures do not do it justice at all ) we were blown away when we arrived. There is nothing that this villa does not have, the attention to detail was fantastic. Our little girl was over the moon when she found a little playroom equipped with toys, crayons, paints, paper etc. The village that the villa is located in is lovely and everyone is so friendly, we utilised the local bar, shop etc. on numerous occasions, the pizza from the pizzeria is amazing. All beaches, lakes etc. are all within 45 minutes drive, we would recommended Carcassonne and Carcassonne the plage for great days out. We had a fantastic holiday and cannot thank Ron and Susan enough, we will be back as soon as we can.

Dear Richard and Eve Hinsley, "Les deux Cypres", was a fantastic experience, and as we told Ronald this house is "under sold" on the internet - since it shows much better than the presentation on the internet. We were six adults and little Axel of age 11 month, and we all love this house. Third - the village and the region in which you have this house, has an adoring environment and we all had a fantastic holiday week in Corbieres. Thanks and love from the Family Mosbech & Iversen & Hansen, Copenhagen.
Guest rating:
The property was as described in the listing and maintained to the highest standard by thelocal managers who were very attentive and helpful. I would certainly recommend this property to any friend seeking a villa in a quiet location in a charming small town. My only quibbles were a noisy Nightingale in a local tree and two pieces missing in the resident jigsaw. The rest: perfect.
