With glorious views over the surrounding region, including the impressive Fort Saint-André, Villa Sublime is a stunning contemporary home in a prime position for exploring this captivating part of Provence.
Villa Sublime is located in the heights of the city, in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, where nobles traditionally built their palaces, sheltered from invaders in the beautiful hills. By contrast, this villa is a modern masterpiece yet it’s still surrounded by the Provençal gardens and ancient olive trees that make this region loved by so many.
As you step out on to your decked terrace the sparkling swimming pool greets you or you may prefer to simply relax in the tranquil grounds seeking shade from the summer sun. Long evenings under the starry sky can be spent in the al-fresco dining area, having cooked up a feast of Provençal delights in the ultra-modern kitchen or gas barbecue.
With air-conditioning throughout, there’s only the very highest level of comfort inside with sumptuous sofas and a wonderful feeling of space and light in the exquisitely furnished living space. The ground-floor master bedroom, overlooking the pretty garden, has a wonderful en-suite with a free-standing bath or head up the impressive open staircase to three more double bedrooms and terraces plus two marvellous Italian shower rooms.
This is a formidable area of Provençal landscapes, idyllic hilltop villages and world renowned towns and markets. On a Saturday you can experience the marvellous Brocante in the town, one of the most famous flea markets in southern France. It’s also just a five minutes drive to beautiful Avignon where you can explore the winding streets, experience the excellent dining opportunities and visit two UNESCO world heritage sites, the Pope’s Palace and Saint Benezet Bridge. There’s horse-riding and some lovely walks nearby plus older kids will love kayaking along the Rhône or Sorgue.
A little further afield you will find the historical city of Nîmes (40km) with its fine collection of Roman remains including the stunning aqueduct, Pont du Gard, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Or head south to experience the natural beauty of the Camargue, a beautiful combination of land, lagoon and sea with pink flamingos, wild white horses and endless wild countryside.
Whether you are wanting to explore the region to your hearts content or simply potter around nearby markets, cafes and local sights, Villa Sublime is an extraordinary holiday home bring you modern and beautiful style to this much loved ancient area.

The bohemian quarter of the city, just next to the Sorgue river, has more of a village atmosphere with its artists, musicians, cafes and wine-bars.

Gordes (50km) is just one of the beautiful villages worth visiting with stunning architecture, set in the outstanding Luberon region, surrounded by lavender fields in the summer months. Or head south to the heart of the Parc Naturel Regional des Alpilles and the charming town of St-Remy-de-Provence (27km) where you can soak up the true Provencal way of life, especially on markets days. Another highlight of this area is the stunning landscapes and natural beauty of the Camargue, which can be visited in a day. A beautiful combination of land, lagoon and sea with pink flamingos, wild white horses, rice fields and endless wild countryside, this natural park covers 900 square kilometres of land and beaches. Endless activities can be offered including quad biking and jeep tours across this diverse area. You can also see the traditional and interesting farms where the Gardiens (cowboys) raise bulls for the bullrings of Languedoc and Spain.
