Situated on the first floor of a typical French building, this lovely three-bed home perfectly suits its surroundings. La Grande Plage, the town’s main beach, is only a five-minute walk away; sunbathe on the golden sand or take a dip in the ocean. Love surfing? Visit Plage de la Cote des Basques, where tourists and locals come to ride the board. Whether you are a total novice or seasoned expert, there are several surf schools scattered around Biarritz where you can pick up some new skills.
Shopaholics should head to Port Vieux’s main high-street, Rue Port Vieux. Featuring quaint boutiques and various stores, you can shop away until your heart’s content. Biarritz itself is beautiful, with Art deco buildings placed between the winding streets. With a theatre, swimming pool and casino, there is loads to get up to in this vibrant town.

Biarritz has over six kilometres of coastline consisting of stunning stretches of sands and picturesque alcoves. Walk just five minutes to reach the town’s main beach, La Grande Plage, which attracts thousands of visitors with its golden sands and clear blue waters. Visit Plage de la Cote des Basques and watch the surfers glide across the Atlantic ocean. If you fancy giving it a go yourself, there are plenty of surf schools on the coast and places where you can rent equipment.
Near the apartment, there are loads of restaurants where you try some delicious Biarritz cuisine. Taste mouthwatering local delicacies such as fresh seafood, cooked to perfection. If you feel like preparing your own meal, check out Les Halles market where vendors who sell ingredients like mushrooms and touron (marzipan) for you to try.
Visit Port Vieux for its wide range of shops and petite beach which is the local’s best kept secret. The bustling high-street, Rue Port Vieux is filled with fashion boutiques, quaint stores and stunning Art Deco buildings. Boasting its own swimming pool, theater and casino, this is a great place to make memories with family or friends.
Get in the car or catch the half hour bus from central Biarritz to Bayonne (8km), a nearby town filled with places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The river front is home to some beautiful wildlife and boasts picturesque views. There are loads of great spots where you can enjoy a picnic with loved ones while taking in the beautiful scenery.
