We have returned from a second visit to the Manoir having enjoyed it so much last year. The weather was at its peak the first week and we were very grateful for the spendid pool. The location is so handy for trips out without driving many miles. It took next to no time to get to Sarlat or Domme which we visited. We enjoyed a few meals out at Beynaac which takes all of four minutes to drive to in the evening. The quality of the facilities at the Manoir made this such an easy and relaxing holiday. We would thoroughly recommend a stay.Guest rating:
We have just come back from spending two weeks at this fabulous gite. After a week in hectic Marseille this was just what we needed. Booking the property was hassle free and the owner was quick to answer any questions and was most helpful. The gite is ideally located in the Dordogne valley within easy reach of gardens, castles and canoeing. The house itself is clean and extremely well appointed with everything you need for a stress free holiday. Despite being at the end of the season we still managed a swim in the pool at the end of each day. We want to go back - surely that is the best review anyone can make!Guest rating:
We’ve just returned from a blissful two week family holiday at this Villa! The house is spacious, has a great pool secluded atvthecrearvofvthevprooerty and is close to several super villages and sites to visit. I would highly recommend this place for size, location and facilities.Guest rating:
We have just come from a wonderful 2 weeks staying at Le Petit Manoir. The booking process was excellent with attention to detail making it simple and informative. The location just on the edge of Beynac was perfect - a peaceful retreat. We ate out at Beynac as well as Domme and Sarlat. They are all very easy to get to from the house. The house is very well equipped and spacious. The detailed house book with instructions and information was very helpful. The quality of the fittings as well as towels, loungers etc made the holiday so comfortable. The pool is large and located at the rear of the property surrounded by woods. The temperatures were up to 36 degrees so we made the most of relaxing by the pool. The owner was very helpful when we had a few queries. Watching the hot air balloons coming back to Beynac in the evening as we sat outside having a drink was a great end to the day. We would thoroughly recommend and will probably return.Guest rating:
Where to begin this 5 star review? First, the owner was wonderful. The whole rental process was flawless. He communicated perfectly. It just happened that he was staying with friends in the neighborhood, and he responded immediately to a couple of minor issues. We were able to meet him a few times, and he is truly the nicest person! Second, the house is gorgeous! Beautiful architecture, attractive furniture, spotless upon our arrival. This was a family vacation, and we made full usage of the comfortable rooms on both floors. There's plenty of space, enough bathrooms and toilets, and a spacious kitchen with all the necessary amenities. The pool is large, beautifully situated in the huge wooded back yard. The quiet setting is perfectly situated in the woods, a few minutes from Beynac. The owner prepared a "house manual" with instructions for the TV, pool, and other rules that we found very reasonable and user friendly. Third, one cannot be better situated to visit the Dordogne valley, close to all major attractions In summary: a perfect family vacation in a gorgeous region of France, made very special thanks to this house ! I highly recommend Le Petite Manoir, and guarantee that you will have a memorable vacation !

We stayed in this amazing property for our 2 week holiday in August! There is a definite wow factor when you pull up outside the house, it is truly stunning! The house has everything you could possibly need! The outside area was amazing and the kids spent many hours having great fun in the pool! Graham, the owner was really helpful throughout the booking process and with a couple of queries we had during our stay. Fresh croissants and baguettes can be purchased from the bakery in the village which is a 20min walk downhill . A 15min stroll to the beautiful Beynac chateau with a lovely coffee shop overlooking the amazing countryside is not to be missed. Lots of lovely towns to visit just a short drive away. A must is the canoeing along the river, a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this property!Guest rating:
Great house and close to some of the best Dordogne locations. The pool and garden is wonderful place to relax and has all the amenities you require to have a peaceful stay. The house inside was lovely and clean and full of character. Would highly recommend!!Guest rating:
The house, gardens and the pool were to an exceptional standard and beautifully presented. The four bedrooms made it an excellent base for a family holiday. The proximity to Beynac with sufficient, good quality shops and restaurants (but not so many that it became a tourist boutique shopping destination) made it an ideal base for local activities or touring a wider area should you want to do so. Finally, to complete the package, the local agent ensured that the one unavoidable snag that arose was speedily and efficiently resolved.
Guest rating:
We took a late season holiday but everything was still going on! The weather was good and we visited the many local attractions whilst enjoying the pool, garden and adjoining private woodland (which was lovely with some of the trees just turning colour). The magnificent chateau and feudal village was about 20 minutes walk.
The house was beautifully prepared and very clean, we didn't need to contact anyone during our stay but the owner was most helpful in answering some questions before we went.
No hesitation in recommending this place.
Guest rating:
We recently stayed at the Manor House with friends. We were extremely pleased with the property, it met more than our expectations. The house was well equipped, and the rooms were all very comfortable.
We spent most afternoons around the pool, and in the evenings we loved to sit at the front of the property with a drink discussing our day.
The Manor was well located within walking distance from the beautiful village of Beynac with its stunning chateaux and river. There are plenty of places to visit such as Rocamadour and the Padirac Chasm, and many activities as well, such as canoeing and horse riding close by.
We found the owner Graham very helpful, and we would definitely stay again.
Guest rating:
The Manor House sits just over a mile to the north of Beynac. The location is secluded and quiet but provides excellent views out over the countryside. The accommodation is perfect for groups of up to 8 people with good size kitchen and lounge area. The garden at the back is well screened by trees and there's a good size swimming pool.
Locally there's plenty to do from visiting the numerous grand chateaux, vinyards, quaint villages, rowing or boating on the Dordogne plus the childrens' favourites of caves, tree climbing and zoos.
There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a short drive or simply buy fresh local produce in the regular daily markets in the surrounding towns and stay in and enjoy the garden/patio during the warm evenings and watch the stars come out!
Guest rating:
This property made all the difference to our holiday. Generously proportioned, tastefully furnished and very well maintained, with a pool at the perfect temperature, the house is in an ideal location, allowing easy access to the numerous delights the Dordogne has to offer including a wonderful little restaurant in Beynac. Rest assured this is a great find and the owner could not have been more helpful.
