Rural Gite with Pool and Garden Set in Vineyards.
Your hosts, Martine and JC Fenerol, welcome you in their house in Provence.
Originally from the region and running the family vineyard for decades, JC decided to return home and settled in 1992.
The gite is part of a villa situated on the edge of the hills of Provence. It is close to the village of Vinsobres and set in a beautiful surrounding of lavender fields, apricot orchards, truffle trees and vineyards, a truly rural setting. The market towns of Nyons and Vaison La Romaine are 8 kms away and have all major facilities.
The centrally heated gite/apartment forms the ground floor of the large villa, private and with its own sunny patio area and flower garden.
Access to the gite is via a secured courtyard leading to the private entrance surrounded by pine tree, local aromatic plants and flowers. Past the oleanders, you will find a huge terrasse, shaded by a bioclimatic pergola and dinning table that seats easily 6-8 pers. There is also a Weber gas BBQ available.
Beyond the dining area is the salted pool (10 x 4 metres), shaded by a large medlar and surrounded by a multitude of flower beds and pots. The pool is available at all times. Clients have their own private terrace with pool furniture, parasol and pool-house including shower, WC and laundry room. WiFi is available.
We are also fully equipped for a baby.
The owners welcome guests with cold drinks on arrival and explain about the local facilities.
We look forward to meeting you at the Cherry Tree. The gite is designed to accommodate a family of 4 plus room for an extra baby. Children of all ages are most welcome.
Access to the apartment is via the kitchen/diner although there is another entrance at the front by the parking. From the terrace 2 steps lead in to:
- The delightfully cool kitchen/diner which is fully equipped for 4 clients. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, induction hob, real oven, microwave, coffee maker etc. A passageway leads to the main part of the accommodation.
- A double bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with shower and WC.

We spent 3 weeks here and had a fabulous time. Our hosts, Jean-Claude and Martine who have taken over recently couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. This is an ideal place to just chill - visit the local markets and make full use of the swimming pool which is kept meticulous for guests.Guest rating:
Pat you've been a marvellous host! Thanks for everything. I can't believe it has taken us so long to get down and discover your wonderful part of the world. We have had a marvellously restful 2 weeks and yet we have still managed to see and do so much. We loved the markets, especially Nyons; and Vaison La Romaine is certainly the largest market that we have seen in France! We've enjoyed some gorgeous lunch's in local restaurants invluding Vinsobres. The pool has been a joy and we have certainly been lucky with the weather. Tigger is a delight too, we nearly took him home with us! Thanks once again Pat. Glynis and Michael (Directors of French Connections)Guest rating:
Thank you Patrick for being a wonderful host. Thanks for your patience and thoughtfulness. We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Beautiful gardens, flowers and pool and great for walking and jogging round the vineyards. We look forward to visiting again.Guest rating:
An excelent base from which to explore Provence. We recomend St Cecile-les-Vignes for its ancient streets and delightful cafeGuest rating:
Our second visit to Cherry Tree Villa and this wonderful part of France. We have loved it just as much as we did three years ago. We would recommend Nimes, Grignan, Nyons sunday market and Vaison for souvenirs. Our children (9 & 6) loved the pool at Le Sagittaire and the activity centre at Mont Serin on Mont Ventoux:- horse riding, go-karts, giant inflatables and a tree top adventure. Our personal favourite was watching my husband cycle up Mont Ventoux! Thanks again Patrick.Guest rating:
Thank you Pat, we had a much needed wonderful relaxing holiday. We have fallen in love with the area, France, the pool and your perfectly homely gite. Hope to return sometime.Guest rating:
A most relaxing three weeks visiting and revisiting both familiar and unfamiliar haunts.Guest rating:

A wonderful place, fabulous pool - well used by our lively little children. Loved it. Thank you.Guest rating:
Once again a lovely time with family, feels like our second home. Gentle walks up to the village for bread + markets etc. Plus as always, lots of sun and relaxation.Guest rating:
What a wonderful way to escape the awful weather back home and yet still keep up to date with the totally unexpected BBC1's Olympic coverage. Well done Patrick. We realize you had nothing to do with the weather but the rest of our wonderful stay was up to you. Thank you.Guest rating:
We are so glad we made it at the second attempt. We came to the area many years ago - saw all the sights and wanted to come back again. It is still wonderful. Thank you Patrick.Guest rating:
Many thanks for your hospitality and assistance Patrick. This is a beautiful area but the wine is too drinkable!!Guest rating:
We have had an amazing holiday and have woken up on our last day feeling quite subdued. Highlights include Avignon, Nyons, Mont Ventoux, Vaison (market is incredible). The driving tour of the Dentelles is a must. Uzes is well worth a visit as is Orange. The children loved the play room and the pool. The area is now our favourite part of France and we will be back. Thank you Patrick for your hospitality.Guest rating:
An excellent week, painting, swimming and enjoying the heat. A very nice place to stay.Guest rating:
This has been our first visit and we have had a great time. The weather helped. No rain until Friday afternoon, warn sun every other day. The pool has been most welcome on the warm days. Provence is lovely at this time of year, so much to see. Very interesting cycling up Mont Ventoux. It's a challange but worth it on a clear day. The smell of Lavender and eating grapes will hold special memories for us. Thanks Patrick.Guest rating:
We have had a good week here and enjoyed very good weather too which has allowed plenty of use of the pool. A very picturesque are with lots to see and do. Day trip to Avignon was great - beautiful city. Vultures at St May fantastic too. Many thanks Patrick.Guest rating:
