Provencal Garden Cottage with Pool

The Provencal Garden Cottage is located 2 km from the medieval village of Ampus, in the Var. It is set in natural woodlands and fields of wild flowers with an orchard, gentle stream and garden abundantly planted with roses and lavender.

The private swimming pool and terrace are set in a secluded part of the garden and are ideal for sunbathing and relaxed 'al-fresco' dining.

The owners have a very friendly border collie named Cassy who loves children and is always a huge hit with the guests.

Holiday Accommodation at Garden Cottage

• Large spacious living area with 3 sets of French windows opening onto the south-facing terrace, attractive wood burning stove and comfortable furnishings. There are bookshelves with a large and varied collection of books, plus a satellite TV, DVD and CD player and telephone/fax and access to Internet, all for use during your stay.
• Modern kitchen in Provencal style with 2 hobs and ovens, 2 fridges, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. It is decorated with hand made tiles from 'Salernes' is the perfect place for preparing delicious meals with local delicacies from the village markets.
• Laundry area with washing machine and dryer.
• Bathroom with shower, WC and hand basin.
• Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
• Bedroom (double/twin) with en-suite bathroom.

All bedrooms are stylishly decorated and all open out onto the peaceful garden.

About Ampus in Var, Provence - Cote d'Azur

Ampus is a medieval village with monuments dating back to the 11th Century. In the town square you will find a bakery for fresh bread and patisseries, a post office, café, and a small, intimate and highly recommended Michelin Star restaurant.

Tourtour voted one of the most beautiful villages in France and for its famous panoramic views, is just 4 km away. Here you will discover cafes and bars with terraces in the shade, galleries of modern art and traditional crafts, boutiques, vaulted passage ways and medieval houses with window boxes overflowing with colour along tiny winding streets.

Local village markets offer a selection of traditional delicacies including truffles, olive oils, honey, regional goats cheese and an abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Market tours, picnic lunches and cookery lessons using fresh local ingredients are available upon prior arrangement.

How To Get To Ampus in Var, South of France and the Riviera

95 km to Nice International Airport and approximately the same distance to Toulon and Marseille Airports. The nearest railway station is 30 km away and 20 minutes away there is a regular bus service from the nearest larger town of Draguignan.
