La Grange @ La Devèze is a traditional, stone built converted barn on the edge of the village of Lacapelle Marival in the most unspoilt corner of South West France.
Converted to provide superior accommodation, it is comfortable, spacious and airy.
It has the largest private swimming pool in the area at 13.5m. x 6m, (luxury eco-matic soft water) fenced for safety and surrounded by decked sun terrace with poolside sola shower. (Heated pool low season only).
Fully equipped gymnasium and Table Tennis. Free Wifi Internet access. Smart/UK Satellite TV.
Managed and maintained exclusively by your hosts, Sally and Richard, with 25 years experience, our flagship property remains our most requested accommodation that offers a unique holiday experience, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your time at this private hidden gem.
Converted to a superior standard, it sleeps up to 7 people. It has a north facing open sun terrace, perfect for breakfast, and a covered south facing elevated terrace, off the kitchen and overlooking the swimming pool.
Below the elevated south terrace, is a ‘chill zone’ equipped with casual seating, hammock and swing seat to give shade from the heat of the day.

- Main entrance leads into large open plan living area with modern kitchen to the rear with gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave etc. Kitchen opens onto spacious covered balcony terrace. Outdoor dining and Gas BBQ/plancher. Views over pool and countryside.
- Indoor spacious sitting area with Smart TV, UK Satellite, DVD Player, Bluetooth Speaker. Large extendable dining table seating up to 8
- Bedroom 1. Double bed. French windows opening onto open onto north facing decked terrace.

- The large gravelled surface to the front of the property also acts as an excellent boules area.
On the edge of the picturesque village of Lacapelle-Marival, La Grange is just a short walk from all local amenities. The local shops, including 2 x boulangerie, general grocery store with butcher counter, fruit and vegetable. Post office, pharmacy, newsagent, supermarket, banks and restaurants are all a within easy reach. There is a local market twice a month.
A short drive away is the medieval town of Figeac with it’s bustling Saturday market, as well as many delightful shops and restaurants. Very easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest, eg Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, St Cirque Lapopie. An ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many activities.

What an amazing stay at La Grange
Situated in the beautiful village of Lacapelle Marival, La Grange is located in a wonderfully scenic and secluded part of the village, with no light pollution and amazing ‘dark skies’
From the moment we arrived, Sally and Richard were there to give us a warm welcome, having used HSWF before we knew we were in safe hands. La Grange is extremely well appointed, a lovely airy space with top notch facilities, and its much much bigger than shown in the photos.
Attention to detail was second to none, fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. A super welcome pack and even water beside each bed on arrival. As it’s such a big part of modern life now, the property has fast and reliable Wi-Fi which reaches everywhere in the property and all the way out to the outside areas.
As a group of 6 there was more than enough space for us all to really relax either out on the upper terrace, sat in a hammock, or out by the pool.
The pool really is the jewel in the crown, its huge!! and by far the best maintained pool we've ever had in our many years of holidaying in the South of France.
With the orientation of the pool and property you get sunshine all day and stunning sunsets each evening.
Sally and Richard are also such amazing hosts, if you need any information on places to visit, local activities and sports (kayaking on the Dordogne is fantastic), the best bread nearby or the best restaurants off the beaten track, then they're your go to!!

Thanks once again for a fabulous holiday at La Grange. This was our 4th stay and each holiday just gets better. The additions of the covered raised balcony and chill zone have been amazing! We love the area too and have visited many local restaurants and especially loved the new micro brewery bar! Staying at La Grange has truly become a home from home. Our girls love it and already planning next years holiday. The pool is the biggest and best we have ever experienced on holiday and Richard twice daily maintenance keeps it pristine. Thank you once again for your local knowledge, advice and wonderful hospitality. It really is such a treat to stay with you! see you in 2025! What a fabulous holiday we’ve just experienced at La Deveze . A total find ! Such a gorgeous property, nestled in the French countryside. Super relaxing , home comforts with a French twist . La Grange is spacious yet homely . The outdoor area is stunning , with the biggest and cleanest swimming ever ! Richard and Sally are perfect hosts, with attention to detail , attentive but also not invasive .
