Two delightful Stone Barn Cottages, converted and furnished to a high standard, set in the 1 Acre grounds of the owners’ own Farm House. Situated in beautiful and expansive rolling countryside in the heart of the Cote d’Or, a perfect retreat for artists, writers and bird watchers, and those who simply want to enjoy good food and wine. Each gite sleeps 2 to 4 people.

Just five minutes from the A6 autoroute junction Dijon/Beaune between the two small towns of Pouilly-en-Auxois and Arnay-le-Duc this wonderful corner of Burgundy has everything you could wish for at its fingertips. The countryside is breathtaking with numerous restaurants and bars to relax in and watch the world go by.

Accommodation detail

Both cottages have stunning views to the distant hills and sunsets.  The accommodation comprises:

Ground Floor

• Large sitting/dining room leading onto to well equipped open plan fitted kitchen with window looking onto rear garden
• Large patio doors lead from the sitting room out onto south facing sunny terrace, furnished with garden furniture and BBQ, with views over rolling countryside beyond
• Well equipped open plan kitchen

Stonework around some windows is exposed and the old oak beams have been retained creating comfortable, light, accommodation whilst retaining the original rustic character. Furnished to a high standard with both antiques and modern furniture.

First Floor

• Spacious light and airy double bedroom with king-size bed
• Large bathroom with bath/shower, generous basin and WC

About the location

Just five minutes from the small pretty Burgundy towns of Pouilly-en-Auxois and Arnay-le-Duc, both with their excellent range of shops and restaurants.

Unlimited opportunities lie within half an hour to visit

• the historic city of Dijon
• the magnificent town of Beaune with over 100 Wine Cellars and it’s November Wine Festival
• the nearby world famous wine villages of Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits St. Georges, Pommard and Meursault to name a few

Even closer will be found the tranquil Valley de l’ Ouche, with it’s Abbey and Chateau, above which and still closer, in the hills with magnificent views, is the ancient fortified hilltop village of Chateauneuf-en-Auxois.

Forty minutes away are Alise (Cesar 52BC) and Abbaye de Fontenay (World Heritage) and Flavigny, medieval village of the film ‘Chocolat’ fame. Chablis is twenty minutes further.

By Car

• Five and a half hours from Calais via Reims, Troyes, Montbard
• Driving Times approx.: Calais 5 ½hrs; Paris, Lyon, Geneva 2 ½hrs

By Train

• TGV; London to Paris, change, Paris to Montbard or Dijon or
• TGV; London to Lille, change, Lille to Montbard or Dijon

By Plane

• To Paris, or to Lyon

Price is based on two person occupancy. 

• Short Breaks also available at £75  per night per room
• Change over day is usually Saturday 
• Use of Washer/dryer is included - and is in the Laundry-room of main House
