The 17th century property sleeps up to 12 and is composed of the Cottage and the Barn with private Pool 10 x 5 and Jacuzzi - Hot Tub. Both sleep 8, have en-suite facilities and large living areas. They can be rented separately in low season.

The property, exclusive and secluded, is surrounded by 35 acres of land, with no vis-a-vis. 

The park with has trees for shade and private drive way for absolute privacy. The pool has a large 80sq.m wooden deck with view over the valley and woodland. Children can enjoy pony (on site) rides in the peaceful countryside surrounding the property.

We are situated to the north of the Perigord Noir, the heart of the Dordogne and Vezere vallies. This is a secluded rural location situated 8 km from Vergt, 15km from Le Bugue with their numerous tourist attractions, weekly markets and selection of supermarkets.

Accommodation detail

Two buildings for a total of 300sq.m. The 18th century Cottage (150sq.m) and the Lodge an old tobacco barn (150sq.m) have been renovated by the owners following the best of the French tradition.

Each building sleeps 8 and have en-suite facilities and large living areas. The property is surrounded by a 10 acre park with mature trees for shade. The Jacuzzi looks on to the Pool that has a large wooden deck with view on the wild nature.

Children can enjoy pony rides in the peaceful countryside surrounding the property (pony on site). We are situated to the north of the Perigord Noir, the heart of the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. About the location

Although isolated on a plateau, it is only 5 to 10 minutes away from local towns with all facilities: supermarket, post office, bar tabac, chemist, etc.

A few kilometres around the house you will find major touristic attractions: Sarlat, Dordogne river, Vezere river, Bergerac, Le Bugue, Les Eyzies. Bordeaux and the Atlantic coast is only 1 hour and a half away.

How to get here

It is an easy journey from the UK whether by car or plane. We are approximately 350 miles from St Malo and 500 miles from Calais and Boulogne. Both are easy journeys using the excellent French motorway network.

Should you wish to fly and hire a car (yes you will need car to get here and also to make the most of this wonderful area), we are situated just 40 minutes from Bergerac airport, and under 2 hours from Bordeaux, via the excellent new motorway.

Additional price information

Prices are for the property per week in pounds.

Reservation deposit 20%. Balance 6 weeks before stay. Security deposit 400£/gite. Cleaning is 80£ for the Cottage and 180£ for all Property. Linen and towels are included.
