18th Century Farmhouse in the Vendee

Large modernized Farmhouse located in La Cheneliere, a quiet and peaceful hamlet conveniently positioned for a relaxing rural French holiday, but close to lively seaside resorts. The house dating back to 1730 is a traditional stone farmhouse surrounded by fruit trees, roses and hibiscus bushes.

Gardens and Grounds:

The garden houses an above ground pool, (4m diameter), mature fruit trees and shrubs. There are plenty of chairs and loungers to relax. A large field to the rear of the property has a cow shed, great for keeping the cars cool! or for ball games.

Barbecue, bikes and boogie boards are there for guests use.

Holiday Accommodation at The Farmhouse

The house sits in extensive grounds, with private garden and numerous tranquil spots!

Ground Floor:

  • Kitchen/Diner - with wood burning fire, large room and kitchen is fully fitted. Table (seating six), large fridge freezer, gas hob with electric oven. Dining room seats eight with large table and sideboard.
  • Lounge - with comfortable seating , TV/video and stereo.
  • Double bedroom - huge room with double aspect windows. Fold up bed if required.
  • Shower room
  • Separate WC
  • Utility room - with automatic washing machine ironing board and iron. There is another fridge for cold beers and wine !

First Floor:

  • 2 Double bedrooms
  • Twin bedroom
  • Shower room
  • Separate WC
  • Terrace - large 1st floor walled terrace

The first floor can be reached both through the house or by separate outside staircase.

The house has full central heating.

About Lege in Vendée, Pays de La Loire

The historical town of Nantes is to the north (30mins). The beautiful resort of St Gilles Croix de Vie is east (30mins). The sophisticated beach resort of St Jean de Monts is east (30mins). Going south La Rochelle is about 1 hour away. Lege being only 2kms away has a large supermarket, bakers and butchers, bar and restaurants.
