These comfortable, self-contained cottages provide very popular holiday accommodation and can be let individually or booked as a whole . Set in 3 acres of land with private swimming pool and frontage onto the river, yet only a short walk into town, Les Granges is an ideal place to relax, explore the Dordogne or enjoy a multitude of activities. Les Granges is secluded and quiet but within a short walking distance of Montignac's shops and market, cafes and restaurants. The swimming pool is attractively set amid established trees, shrubs and vines - offering seclusion and tranquility. The large spacious grounds and meadows enjoy a private frontage to the river Vézère.

There are three 2 bedroom cottages and each have a separate terrace area for dining/sunbathing.

The large, well maintained private swimming pool is attractively set amid established mature trees, with vines and shrubs offering seclusion and tranquility. The spacious grounds offer a private frontage to the River Vezere.

About Montignac in Dordogne, Aquitaine

Montignac is a small town of some 3,400 inhabitants situated in the Vézère valley - the centre of pre-history. Some of the buildings date back to the 13th century. The larger towns of Perigueux, Brive and Sarlat are only half an hour drive away. Other beautiful regions and wine growing areas are within easy reach such as The Lot, Quercy, Correze, Limousin and Charente. Bordeaux and the coast are a two hour drive. Montignac is a small yet busy market town, thriving on farming and tourism. It is an ideal centre in which to base a holiday as there are numerous archaelogical and historic sites to visit and a variety of sporting and leisure activities.

The cottages are in a semi rural location bordering the River Vezere but only a few minutes walk from the centre of town with all its facilities. It is a safe haven for children.

In Montignac there is the International Folk/Dance Festival held annually in July.  In addition there are many classical music recitals held nearby - notably at St. Leon sur Vezere and St. Armand de Coly.

How To Get To Montignac in Dordogne, South West France

By air: The house is one and a half hours from Bergerac or Limoges.

By car: The house is 9/10 hours drive from Calais. A car is essential in the Vezere Valley as public transport is very limited.
