La Cornilliére is a XVII th century property which was a vineyard with 6 hectares of parkland including : the "Logis" wing of the "petit chateau" with view on a little "jardin à la française" from one side, on the other side view on a big lawn. The "Closerie ", completely independent is a little farm surrounded by the orangery and a barn. The two accommodations are very comfortable, quiet and decorated with antique furniture.

This property is very well situated for visiting the chateaux, numerous lovely villages and vineyards of the Loire valley, at only 5 miles from the centre of Tours, a historical town with a lot of restaurants and at half a mile from the village of Mettray with his bakery, his butcher'shop and his café.

La Cornilliére belongs to a couple native from the Touraine region. They are both particularly pleased to welcome foreigners and to talk about the culture of their country.

This independent accommodation, built at the turn of the century, is a wing of the "petit château".

• Peach bedroom - (19m²) with a double queen bed
• Bathroom - with toilet

The laundry room with washing machine and dryer is shared with the owners in an outbuilding.  Garden furniture, a barbecue and a tennis table.

About the location

• Mettray - 700m from La Cornillière is Mettray, a very pleasant village (2000 people) with a bakery, cafè, newsagents, butcher's shop, chemist, church and post office. There are regular buses from Mettray to Tours and many supermarkets in the surrounding area (3km).
• Tours (5 kms ) - An historical town with many cultural activities and lots of restaurants. France's best flower market and a farm market with home-grown products and good shopping.
