Comfortably accommodates 6/7 guests, very well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. A couple of minutes stroll from the property across the old bridge, brings you to the boulangerie. Here the pretty quai is lined with an excellent choice of riverside restaurants and bars. The medieval town is a walk away via the picturesque Rue de Jerzual. Proximity and easy driving distance to the sublime Emerald Coast where you will discover some of the finest sandy beaches in France, the choice is endless.....
About the Property : Located 50 meters from the quai and has to offer, light, spacious and very comfortable accommodation, retaining the feeling of a very cosy family home. Designed to accommodate 1-2 families, the property has been renovated to a very high standard and combines the charm of the old stone and contemporary comfort. Open and spacious volumes optimize the supply of light in every room and invite conviviality.
Outside space: From the lounge area you have direct access to the delightful, secluded dining sun terrace. Here you will enjoy the privacy and benefits of the beautiful warm summer sunshine for most of the day. This area is furnished with teak garden furniture seating for 6/7 guests at ease, sun lounger, parasol and barbecue.
Parking : There is a private parking space at the front of the property.

Visiting the local area
The medieval town of Dinan is a walk away via the picturesque Rue de Jerzual. Proximity and easy driving distance (20 mins) to the sublime Emerald Coast where you will discover some of the finest sandy beaches in France, the choice is endless.....
There are transport services (bus & train station) in the town of Dinan and In Dinan port during the summer season. The'Bus de Mer'offer a boat taxi service to the very popular tourist towns of St Malo and Dinard. The port also offersa free of charge daily mini bus service (Dinamo) to Dinan town center. This service runs daily from Mon to Sat every 45 Mins during the summer season. Everything is on your door step, a car really isn't essential.
Activities in the Port Club de Canoé Kayak de la Rance : Hire a kayak, a paddle or a canoe and go sailing on the river Rance! Rentals in July and August from 10am to 6pm and all year round by reservation.
Dina'Vig: Discover the Rance riverside in an other way! Hire an electric boat ride, no need for a boating licence, they offer many journeys from one hour to the entire day, on boats from 4 to 9 persons
Kaouann: Have to offer a bicycle rental service in the port. From a ride of a few hours along the Rance to an itinerant hike over several days, offering hybrid bikes, electric bikes, children's bikes, trailers, baby seats and even a tandem! They also can advise you on cycle rides around Dinan and on loops passing through Saint-Malo, Dinard, Evran.. In summer guided bike rides with tasting of local products will also be offered.The flat towpaths in the port and its vicinity make it ideal for cycling for all ages.
The forever-popular Jaman V river cruiseboat leaves from the quay outside the Bar des Vedettes four to five times a day to visit Léhon.
Léhon is the next magnificent village with a medieval appearance. Very easy access from the port, by a very pleasant promenade (15/20 min) along the river Rance tow path. Here Léhon welcomes you to theiroutdoor heated swimming pool complex,comprising of 3 swimming pools: one large pool with toboggan: 25 m x 15 m (depth 2 m) the second pool 12 m x 6 m (depth 1 m) a paddling pool and solarium. This complex is open all year round, certainly ideal for all the family. Also well worth a visit! Léhon's beautiful abbey, during the summer months, there are exhibitions of local artists and the grounds are very relaxing and superb. The walk around the ruins of the medieval castle is pleasant too.

Thank you so much for hosting us in your beautiful Breton Cottage. We have had a lovely week in the extremely pretty Dinan. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the location was perfect for our teens to have their independence and our younger one to enjoy kayaking on the river.
We especially loved the Dinan Thursday morning market and also the beaches in Dinard and the old part of Rennes. A special thanks to Judith for immediately helping us when our car battery died one day.! We really appreciated her help and advice.

Why are you going to Brittany? they said its no different from Cownwall! They said Wrong! The weather has been warmer and sunnier, the bike riding safer, the beaches less crowded, the food ‘Frencher” (naturally), so different and so lovely. Not sure why we have travelled so much further previously…
Glad we brought the bike. Wished we had checked the tide times before paddle boarding (rooky mistake).

What a delightful fortnight we have had! La Maison Cachée is a beautiful house in which to have our holiday in our favourite French town. The free of charge Dinamo mini bus service from the port has been a real bonus!
For an excellent meal, we strongly recommend L’Atelier Gourmand.

We have had 2 amazing weeks at Maison Cachée, the house is beautifully presented and perfect in every way. The weather has been very hot so the coolness of the house was just right for our small dog to rest! The pretty walled garden was perfect for relaxing and having an aperitif before dinner.
We enjoyed the Pilote restaurant in the Port for a special meal and so nice to eat in their lovely peaceful garden and also have a drink on the riverside. Atelier Gourmand is also very good.
Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay with our small dog in this beautiful house and to Judith for all the help to make the booking so easy and for the lovely welcome hamper!

A lovely house in a beautiful holiday town. The walled patio is ideal especially for small children. We loved being able to walk to the local bakery and to the excellent choice of restaurants on the quay. Many thanks to Judith and the owners

Decorated with delicacy and finesse. Your secret courtyard is a quiet and soothing place to rest, and even work (from home!) We enjoyed very much the house and the surrounding, discovering the Rance Valley. Thanks again for the serenity and calm that your house brings to its guests! We wish to have a longer stay next time. Feeling comfortable and at home, allows you to fully enjoy the natural and tourist environment of Dinan and its surroundings.

The Maison Cachée seduced us!
Tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable bedding. Each bedroom had a nice bathroom, and each room has its own identity and delicate fragrance. On the ground floor, a spacious sitting room where young and old find their favorite place, a pretty courtyard where children can play in safety, and which welcomes fresco dining. Dinan, a lively town with a sublime heritage and has to offer beautiful walks on the banks of the Rance, these are additional assets. Thanks to Judith for her kindness and keeping in close contact. Everything seems simplified with her. We would definitely be very happy to return, one week wasn’t enough!Guest rating:

The house is spacious and beautiful and right at the front of Dinan port. Loved the little courtyard and the rose garden a real great heat trap in the afternoon. Great location for biking, kayaking, river cruising and restaurants of which we did plenty! This house is absolutely beautiful and has every home comfort for a relaxing and luxurious stay. The location is wonderful, with a fantastic range of bars and restaurants all a few minutes’ walk away, with the delights of the medieval centre of Dinan just a little further. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends. We also received superb, friendly support and advice from Judith, from our initial enquiry and throughout our stay, always going above and beyond what might be expected.
