After the long wait of going on this much anticipated holiday from booking it just before Covid, we can say hands on hearts that this villa surpassed our expectations! It is beautifully appointed, the pictures don’t quite do the space justice and is much larger in real life. The villa has a well stocked kitchen and all bedrooms are well stocked with towels and very comfortable beds and pillows. The fridge and freezer are huge and easily accommodated 8 people and there is a large 5 burner gas hob to meet cooking needs. The pool is a great size and the was used all the time by all of us (4 adults 4 kids). The owner of the villa, Mark, was extremely understanding during the stressful times of Covid and was most accommodating and helpful when discussing delaying our dates. He was very responsive to emails and texts. Vinca is a lovely, quiet old town with a bakery, supermarket, pharmacy and 2 bars/cafes. To eat out we drove to other towns 5-20 minutes away. We booked 2 weeks in this villa and we loved every minute of it!Guest rating:
We had an absolute top holiday in Villa Vinca with our family of 5 with 3 teenagers! We felt welcome on beforehand, and were well instructed. The house is clean, cosy and has everything you need. We loved very much the extremely well equipped kitchen. Clearly the owners love food and cooking 🙂 Perfect pool, cleaned twice a week. Good beds, Egyptian crispy cotton sheets and soft towels, perfect quality! Everything works (including airco). Owner Mark reacts quickly on questions. The house is situated in a small newly constructed neighborhood. Small well maintained garden. Beautiful villages to visit nearby. We absolutely recommend this house, delivers more than it promises. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday staying in this property. It really is a home from home with everything you need (and many extras you didn’t know you needed! ) for a relaxing stay. The villa is clean, comfortable and well maintained with a well stocked kitchen. It’s situated in a quiet area of Vinca, yet close to many interesting sites from spectacular mountain scenery and historic fortresses to thermal baths and coastal delights. The pool was refreshing after a days sightseeing. Overall, a great place to stay.Guest rating:
We stayed here for two weeks. The house exceeded expectations in many ways. Four bedrooms easily accommodated two Francophile couples and guests. Food is a big part of our holidays, and the kitchen was wonderful to work in – spacious, sociable, extremely well-equipped. The fridge is extra-wide, offering plenty of space for all our food, and like other reviewers we appreciated the ice-maker drawer, so convenient and provided with a little scoop that fitted the necks of carafes perfectly. It was little details like that which impressed. It’s a long way to Vinca, even if you break your journey, as we did, in the Loire region. It was bliss to enter a cool, spacious house and discover everything had been thought of – loo roll, tissues, soap, plenty of towels, olive oil for cooking, herbs and spices, more than just basic cupboard ingredients. Pans and knives were high quality, as was all the white Habitat crockery. Clean modern furnishings earned their place by being functional and comfortable – so what if a lot came from IKEA. I liked the prints on the walls – sketches by Miro and Lautrec, for example. The area is stunningly beautiful, restful, interesting. Weds is a brilliant start day for avoiding motorway traffic.Guest rating:
The Villa is very well appointed and quiet, at the edge of the village but only a short walk from the centre and the Boulangerie! The air-conditioning was a godsend with the high summer temperatures and indoor layout compliments the outside space beautifully. The living room is huge (the photo’s don’t do it justice) and it was lovely to have plenty of space for everyone. The boys all loved the ice making fridge-freezer and they now want one at home! The pool and the barbecue all saw plenty of use during our stay and we would recommend the Villa whole heartedly. As a holiday base it provided us with plenty to do for our two week stay, returning on the 7/8/19Guest rating:
A wonderful villa in a very quiet part of the town – perfect for our needs. Spacious, clean, well-appointed and well laid out, the villa was perfect for our family of six (which includes three teenagers). We stayed when France was unseasonably hot and both the pool and the AC were much appreciated. Despite 35+ heat, we never felt uncomfortable. The owner is incredibly responsive to queries and his customer service from first contact, through pre-arrival, during the stay and after departure was first class. The support from the team who looked after the pool and laundry was perfect – on hand if needed but never in the way. The kitchen had everything we were looking for and the open plan layout meant we spent time as a family throughout the majority of the break. The exterior layout provided plenty of sunshine for those who wanted the heat, and also great shade for those less keen on their tan. The region is fascinating and the combination of nearby coast and mountains was a winner. As a cyclist, the nearby Cols provide the type of challenge that the UK simply doesn’t have and this was a hugely enjoyable part for us. Overall, this was a tremendous villa in a great part of France. Highly recommended.Guest rating:
The villa was extremely well specified and ideally situated to explore this lovely area, with nearby farm shop, bakery, pizzeria (order early!!), supermarket, cafes etc. all within walking distance. Tastings at the local wine cooperative (also walking distance) took place on more than one occasion! We were a group of 4 and had loads of space to make ourselves comfortable. The outdoor dining area was shaded and used daily, as was the excellent Sonos sound system. Everything we might have needed was provided, and was of high quality. The pool was great and the views of Mount Canigou much photographed. All in all, exceeded our expectations and highly recommended. Thank you Mark!Guest rating:
We’ve just spent our second stay at the house and found it to be really comfortable (again) and well equipped as before. As a group of 6 adults and two older children + baby (11 months) we had plenty of space to find quiet times, or go swimming everyday. Then go out visiting local places too. We know the area well and also further afield to Assignan, Estagel and Rivesaltes. St Marie plage was a nice beach walk north of Canet. The Lacs tucked behind Millas were lovely for circular walks. Perpignan good for shopping (clothes etc) and sightseeing. Thank you Mark for organising the lovely baby equipment which made our stay really easy. We hope to come again as it was so enjoyable this second time with ALL our family. Susan Clay et alGuest rating:
We had a wonderful two weeks in the villa. It provided everything you could hope to need and the owners were very helpful. The pool and table tennis kept the children entertained and the villa was very spacious. Vinca is a lovely village and there is plenty in the area to see. Would highly recommend.Guest rating:
We have just returned from a week’s stay in Villa Vinca and loved every moment of it, never have we stayed in a better appointed rental villa. The location was perfect being just an 8 minute walk to the boulangerie, cafe and local shop. The villa itself is more like a home you’ve borrowed rather than a rental property. The kitchen had every kind of accessory imaginable and was a joy to cook in. The pool was fantastic and used with great aplomb and the table tennis table brought out the competitive streak in the menfolk! The gadgets in the house were fantastic too with a great music system and comprehensive tv system (hope we didn’t disturb the neighbours too much!). There was plenty to do within driving distance and beautiful scenery all around. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here and will definitely consider a return ourselves. Thank you so much!Guest rating:
Just returned from a week at the villa with two children, hubby and in laws. Everyone loved it. The children were never out of the pool. The villa is spacious enough for privacy and enough bathrooms/toilets for everyone to have their own space. The villa is so well equipped it really made our holiday. From pool inflatables, spare dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, kitchen roll, tin foil to Bar- B-Q equipment, herbs and salad servers! It meant we had everything we could possibly need. The sound system and TV was great & the air con a lifesaver. Vinca is a beautiful little village with amazing backdrop. With several bakeries and lots of friendly locals we enjoyed just strolling down each morning for bread. The little bar opposite the pizza place was very friendly and we had a few stops there. Can recommend visiting Villefranche (picturesque village with walk to hillside fort) Casteil with walk up Canigou to the mountain top abbey (approx 1hour walk up and 30mins down), beach at argeles sur mer and beach front at Collioure. Eus was worth a drive up into and the view from the hillside drive up to Arboussols was amazing and a roman chapel selling gifts. Vinca lake a bit busy for us Large supermarket in Prades. Wonderful holidayGuest rating:
We had a fantastic holiday in September 2016 for two weeks. This year we returned in June and are just back from another great vacation. It’s a lovely house with a beautiful kitchen, sound system, and splendid pool. We were just with two but the house is suitable for 8 persons, and perfect for two families. It has two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. Two toilets downstairs and a bathroom with two sinks and walk-in shower. Upstairs a second bathroom. In the neighborhood enough to do. We made a trip through the Pyrenees with the yellow train (stunning views). Nice villages (Prades, Eus), Perpignan within a half hour’s drive with many sights to see and fun shops The house is located just outside the village of Vinca in a residential area. Village with bakery and small supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Large supermarkets 10 minutes drive. There’s only one restaurant in the village, which is only open for lunch. Contact with the owner (lives in England) very good, and the keyholders on site are also very nice and helpful.Guest rating:
This was one of the easiest and most convenient holiday homes that we have visited. Although not a huge house it is perfectly formed! All the equipment was of a good quality and everything worked! The town is very quiet but the lake is very pleasant and good fun. There are lots of nice areas nearby and a fruit and vegetable farm shop almost next door. There is an excellent restaurant in the next village and lots of supermarkets! The owner is very quick to respond and returned our deposit promptly!Guest rating:
The house is really great- fantastically equipped and wonderful air con. Lovely pool and garden- esp the Lavender and stunning mountain views. Stephen and Jolanta were charming and very helpful. Such a great area with lots to see and do. Great to be able to walk to the bread shop and excellent farm shop- it ticked every box, we would love to come back! Thanks again.Guest rating:
Enjoyed a wonderful week in Villa Vinca. This is a beautiful spacious villa, very well equipped and very comfortable with air conditioning and a superb sound system. We all enjoyed the great swimming pool and full sized table tennis table. The location of the villa is perfect with so many beautiful places to visit nearby. A 40 minute drive brought us to some fantastic beaches south of Perpignan and 20 minutes to Villefranche de Confluent, a beautiful ancient walled town west of Vinca. The Yellow Train which leaves from Villefranche was the highlight of our holiday with the trip up to Mount Louis and back. The scenery was absolutely amazing! Also visited the grotte des Grandes Canalettes, an amazing cave system near Villefranche. All in all a fantastic and memorable holiday in a first class villa.
Guest rating:
Fabulous villa! Very well equipped, a perfect place for relaxing and getting away from it all. The pool was superb, albeit a little cold, but this was a welcoming relief in the heat of the day. Beds all comfortable and bathrooms lovely. The table tennis in the garage provided an endless source of entertainment!! Large Supermarket just 10 minutes drive away. Would definitely use this villa in the future if travelling to the south of France. Thanks to Steve & Jolanta who were very friendly and helpful.
Guest rating:
Excellent spacious accommodation. The villa stays cool in the heat even without the air con on. Very high spec facilities including a large pool. Great location for getting about and a very friendly village. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay again.
Guest rating:
This was a wonderful place to stay for our summer break. The villa is beautiful, exactly as described , but even nicer! To our delight it came with a fantastic proper kitchen, as opposed to the usual rental kitchen with one old pan! The swimming pool is lovely, table tennis table a great addition, and there is also a tennis court in the village. The location is a good base from which to explore a beautiful part of France. Also great to be able to rent somewhere from Wednesday to Wednesday, instead of being locked in to weekend travel, and to have local contact who is extremely helpful if needed. Highly recommended.Guest rating:
Villa Vinca exceeded our expectations, it was just perfect. We loved everything about it and its location and spectacular mountain scenery. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area, so its a great opportunity to relax and chill out by the pool. The short walk in to the village of Vinca, and the other nearby smaller hamlet, is just a short stroll away and very easy and safe, and would suit all age types. The villa is well equipped and easily caterers for 8 people, the layout is well suited to two parties sharing it, giving each their our own privacy. The owners were very helpful accommodating our specific needs.

We had a 2 week holiday in Villa Vinca and had a fantastic time. For most of the time there was myself, wife and 2 children (aged 12 and 9). However we also had 2 grandparents join us for 3 nights. The villa was spacious enough to cater for all of us comfortably. The Villa is very well appointed with all the equipment that we needed for a 2 week holiday plus UK TV and WiFi connection. The pool was absolutely wonderful although perhaps a little cooler than we were expecting for the south of France in summer! The table tennis table was also a wonderful bonus. The villa had wonderful views of the local mountains and is situated in a quiet residential row of similar style houses. The villa has air-conditioning throughout which is beneficial in the summertime. There was also an impressive looking solid fuel fire in the main room downstairs although thankfully that was not required on our stay in August! We used the charcoal barbecue on a few occasions and we usually were able to eat outside at a table which sat 6 of us comfortably. Vinca itself was about a 5 to 6 minute walk and had 2 boulangeries, both of which we used. The walk to the local barrage was enjoyable and the views from some of the nearby hills were spectacular. Eus is a pretty nearby village and we also enjoyed the Grottes in Villefranche. We also decided to have a day trip to Carcassonne which was 1.5 hours away but we were glad we made the effort. We also travelled to Canet one evening (approx. 40 mins drive away) which had a promenade market and many restaurants (definitely a different atmosphere to Vinca!). Overall our 2 weeks was a combination of relaxation and day trips and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the villa.

Amazing location… superb modern, well maintained property… excellent communication and service from the owner and agents… very highly recommended.

We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Vinca, with so much to see and do in the area.
The villa is equipped to an exceptional standard: the air conditioning is silent and completely effective, all of the home comforts are there in terms of entertainment, kitchen items, etc., the pool is large, clean and safe and the table-tennis competition immediately became a permanent evening fixture!
The villa is situated in a part of the town that is very quiet, yet within easy walking distance of the centre and the surrounding area is truly beautiful.
Last, but certainly not least, the owner and the key holders are a pleasure to deal with.
