Le Vigan is a small traditional French Village lying 5kms to the east of Gourdon on the D801 in the beautiful Lot/Dordogne region of South West France.
Le Vigan is ideally situated between the historic towns of Rocamadour and Sarlat, with many of the regions historic and tourist sites less than an hour away. Conveniently, the A20-E9 Autoroute (Junction 56) is only 15 Kms away.
Le Vigan has all the local amenities you would expect from a small French village, a boulangerie, a boucherie, a number of shops, a bar and at least 4 restaurants. At the centre of the village is the 14th century church and Mairie’s office, there is also a brand new Salle de Fete (village Hall) that was opened in 2009.
For those wishing to be a little more active there is a lake to walk around along with Tennis courts and a Football pitch, all of which are within easy walking distance of the village centre.
