Welcome to Les Cayrouses Country Cottage
A superb and very spacious family house in a peaceful hamlet with panoramic views over the beautiful Vallee du Lot. Located in the South West of France in the department of Aveyron within the region of Midi-Pyreness.
Sleeping 8 persons in 4 bedrooms all with own bathroom facilities. Adjacent is the pool with a large terrace with covered pergola, gas BBQ, garden tables and chairs. Discreet outside lighting provides use of this area well into the evening.
Large gardens with flower beds, rockeries, trees giving shade and grassed area for children to play. Furnished to a very high standard with large fully fitted kitchen/dining room, spacious and comfortable lounge room with windows overlooking the panoramic gorge. A large library of books for all ages and selection of board games for all to enjoy.

Les Cayrouses is 300 metres above the Lot river and located between two incredibly picturesque villages of Entraygues and Estaing a designated “plus beau village de France” each just 7 kms along the river. La Vallee du Lot is only 250 kms due east from Bordeaux, a scenic day’s drive along the winding river hugging roads. Alternate route via Toulouse reduces the time to 5 hours. Airports at Rodez (1 hour) and Toulouse (2.5 hours) provide easy access.
Alternately by road, 6 hours due south from Paris, 4 hours south west from Lyon, 2 hours north west from Montpellier, and 2.5 hours north east from Toulouse.
Local Towns
The small local towns of Entraygues, Estaing and Espalion have many attractions throughout the season from family run restaurants, street cafes, markets both during the daytime and in the evening to the sporting facilities for canoeing, tennis, swimming and for golf.
The area is particularly suited to walking, cycling and for the more energetic, mountain biking (bring your own bikes). Details of marked walks and trails are available from the Tourist Information Centre.
A scenic 9-hole golf course is within half an hour of the property and has its own restaurant and bar.
The canoe centre in Entraygues offers a variety of descents of the Lot River with tuition if required.

How to get to Les Cayrouses
The cottage is located midway between Rodez and Aurillac off the D920 in the department of Aveyron in South West France. Driving time from Calais is approximately 10 hours with stops and from Caen approximately 8 hours. Precise directions and details can be supplied on request.
By rail, trains run from Paris in the North or Toulouse in the South to Rodez or Aurillac where car hire is available.
By air, flights are to Limoges with Ryanair or to Toulouse with Easy Jet, British Airways or Air France. Car hire is available at both airports.
