How best to describe a perfect week? This gite is a recipe for relaxation yet is central within an area that offers so much. We've loved it! We've swam everyday, walked locally and further a field and just sat on the patio enjoying the peace - as well as the local food and wine! Trips out have included Montcuq (great Market on Sunday morning) and Castelnau. We've also explored the fascinating town and villages along the river Lot. Saint Cirque Lapopie is amazing. We also enjoyed Cahors, visiting on market day (wed) taking a boat ride on the river and even hoping on the little train for an informative tour. The gite is wonderful - probably the best we've stayed in. Gerda and Geoffrey are helpful and welcoming hosts. Thank you so much! We hope to come back !Guest rating:
We have stayed in numerous gites over the years of varying quality - this beautiful converted barn surpassed them all. The accommodation was very comfortable (gorgeous bedrooms), it was very well-equipped - dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washing machine, etc. and we received a warm welcome. The snooker table was a hit with the teenagers! We would recommend Gite La Grange de Cezac to anyone of any age. The private pool is a real sun-trap from morning to evening, and the whole place is quiet, but close enough to some amazing towns and villages; some real "must-sees". We cannot recommend this holiday home highly enough - a really outstanding find (I think we'll try to come back)!Guest rating:
The barn was an excellent base to explore the Lot Department, as there are so many things to see all within an hour or so- the truly jaw-dropping Rocamadour and Les Gouffres de Padirac, the beautiful town of St. Cirq Lapopie, the prehistoric caves at Pech Merle, Tournons d'Agenais, etc. Cahors is only about 15 mins drive away, and is great for day trips- we recommend L'Auberge de Vieux Cahors for dinner- the food was great. Also try Hotel de Qercy in Lauzerte- delicious! Montcuq is only 10 mins away and has a superb market every sunday, and a pleasure lake with a sandy beach (plan d'eau). Carrefour supermarket is only 15 mins away on the drive into Cahors which was really handy. A great place to stay.Guest rating:
We had a wonderful two weeks at Le Grange de Cezac. The converted barn oozes character and charm- we loved it from the moment we walked in. We were blown away by the sheer size of the barn, and the full size snooker table on the mezzanine level was a great touch for relaxed evenings. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and whilst they gave us our space, they were on hand to help whenever we needed anything. We brought our nine month old daughter, and were pleased to see a lovely, sturdy cot ready for her, and a good high chair. The bedding was immaculate, the kitchen and all utensils were of a very good standard and also immaculate. The outside seating area next to the bbq was lovely for al fresco dining, and there was a 10 second walk through the garden to the private pool which was superb- we felt that the pool was one of the best features of the property- really deep deep end, and a good size. We saw eagles circling high above us as we floated in the cooling water- paradise. We highly recommend it.Guest rating:
