Wonderful location within the historic quarter of this medieval town Saint Antonin Noble Val, this beautifully restored 15th/16th century town house has many of the impressive, original features retained.
Seconds away from the Palais Prevotal, (the oldest civil building in Europe), the house is snuggled away in one of the cobbled streets just off the main square.
Bars, restaurants, shops, small local boutiques just metres away. There is also a Bank/Post Office/3 supermarkets of good size/chemist/garages with petrol pumps & a wonderful little cinema (often showing the latest films in English).
The Sunday morning market is a great attraction and people come from miles around to see the colourful stalls selling fruit, veg, breads, pates, cheeses, local cuisine ~ all right on your doorstep. There are also Summer Night markets held in the town, which are particularly appealing on a hot summers evening.
Public open air, heated swimming pool (June ~ mid/end Sept) is just 100m+ away, together with a great range of sporting activities in the town & nearby surrounding area.
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.
Also wine growing regions ~ ideal for a half day excursion to sample some of the local wines.
Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including
CORDES SUR CIEL a medieval bastide town whose history includes the Cathars and Huguenots;
ALBI with its Toulouse Lautrec Museum;
NAJAC, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France;
CAHORS and GAILLAC, for their wines;
MONTRICOUX, the Château, an old seat of the Templar Knights and
BRUNIQUEL all well worth a visit.

We have just returned from our second holiday in Le Cluzel. Again very enjoyable and suited our family. The house is spacious and well maintained. The outdoor terrace is a very special feature great for BBQ. The house is historic and unique and in the centre of a Medieval town. It doesn't have a pool but a good public outdoor pool just a short walk away. The local Sunday Market is enjoyable. Plenty of local marked walks to explore. We would highly recommend it.
Guest rating:
Our family of 6 enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful house. Located in a charming village. The house is very central in the Medieval Streets right beside the Place, restaurants and little Boutiques. This is an old house restored to offer modern facilities, with plenty of space and light. The dining at the large table on the terrace was a highlight.Guest rating:
Yet again a fabulous stay in this amazing property our second stay here this year as we also stayed in May. Fabulous renovation and well equipped rental. Already booked again with Jayne (the agent) for next year which will be our sixth time here. We just love, love Le Cluzel and are so delighted that the owners enable us to experience and enjoy their house. The terrace is just amazing great place to sit out, the views over the rooftops, watching the swallows, stargazing at night or relaxing during the day enjoying a glass of wine and barbecue. We love Saint Antonin it's a great place, lots to do, visit and the location of Le Cluzel provides places to eat and drink literally on the doorstep and of course the vibrant the Sunday market. Try La Noble pie they are fantastic and the owners lovely, only opened this year. Le Halle is a great bar and pizzas at pizza val fabulous. All the restaurants in town are very good, differing prices depending on what you want. Jayne is the most fab person and will always be happy to help should you need her. What more can we say, we would recommend this house and it's location again and again.Looking forward to our next visit.Guest rating:
We come to St Antonin every summer, and have stayed in a number of different homes. French Connections has among the best selection of homes within the old centre (and surrounding areas). We have always been delighted with Jayne's (the agent) handling of our bookings year after year, and her personal attention to every detail. Le Cluzel itself is a very tastefully decorated and well-designed property with a distribution of space over three floors that works particularly well for our three-generation family. It has a lovely dining terrace and even has a piano for my son to keep up with his practice over the holidays!Guest rating:
