Built in 1850, the Chateau offers accommodation for up to 18 people plus 2 cots. The reception rooms are elegant and spacious, and spill out to the outside terraces where you have views of the stunning south-facing aspect, river frontage and garden with mature trees. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped with marble worktops and a large Lacanche range oven. There is a more formal living room as well as a cosy snug. The Dining Hall is fantastic with large doors opening from the front facade but also onto the back garden with views of the river. Six of the seven bedrooms in the Chateau are on the first floor whilst the seventh is on the ground floor and ideal for ease of access. The Chateau has a separate self-contained cottage with an additional 2 bedrooms that can be hired in addition for a supplement. The cottage is never let separately. The cottage provides a further two bedrooms and is ideal for a nanny/aupair or anyone wanting a little bit more independence.
There is also the Chai which provides a fun games room and bar area for smaller groups but is also perfect for events and dining for larger groups as well as an ideal place for theme based holidays such as yoga, pilates, painting etc. There is a Pool snooker table.
The Chateau Bedrooms are all double bedrooms and are beautifully furnished with antique furniture and French beds, each having its own personality. The en-suites are a mixture of showers and roll top baths with showers over some separate and some in the bedrooms themselves.
Bedroom 1 is on the Ground floor and is a family room with double bed and two twin beds. It has a large shower-room next door.
Bedroom 2 is a double bedroom and has an ensuite with a roll top bath (with shower over) in the bedroom and then a separate WC in the tower itself.
Bedroom 3 is a small double with two twin beds so ideal for children. It has an ensuite with a roll top bath (with shower over) in the bedroom and then a separate WC in the tower itself.

Bedroom 7 is on the second floor and is a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and a separate WC.
Set in over 6 acres of park, the Chateau is surrounded by mature trees providing complete privacy. The terraces and 10m x 6m heated pool overlook the River Lot and there is some 200 metres of river frontage, which includes a small jetty with lockable gates. Relatively slow flowing, it is perfect for rowing, paddle-boarding, kayaking and fishing. A fishing boat and canoe are provided for guest use. The Swimming Pool has both fencing and alarm for security. The covered terrace houses a summer kitchen with bar and dining area. The summer kitchen has fridge/freezer and dishwasher as well as large paella pan and griddle. The large dining table seats all guests comfortably. There is also large gas BBQ. In addition there is a table tennis table and selection of bicycles for use. It really is the perfect location.

The property is set just outside the small village of Sauvetat sur Lede which has a bar/tabac and is ideally placed in between the mediaeval towns of Monflanquin (8 mins drive) and Villeneuve sur Lot (10 mins drive). Monflanquin is a stunning bastide town built in 1256 as a military bastide as it sits high up in an elevated position. It is classed as one of the most beautiful towns in France. It has all the amenities you could wish for. Villeneuve sur Lot is a larger town on the river Lot and you will find many more shops, bars and restaurants here. In addition there are many other beautiful towns close by such as reaVillel, Castillonnes, Monpazier, Biron and Eymet.

How to get to Elegant Riverside Chateau
The Farmhouse is ideally positioned between three airports. It is just 50 minutes drive from Bergerac International Airport making it an easy final destination. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Brussels. British Airways flies into Bergerac from London City and Southampton. The vibrant city of Toulouse with a large International Airport is 1hr 50 minutes away, servicing even more UK and Worldwide destinations. Bordeaux International Airport is a similar distance at about 2 hours.

- All prices are in sterling and are per week, Saturday to Saturday, arriving at 4pm departing at 10am.
- A deposit of 30% is required by the Owner to confirm the booking. The final balance is due 12 weeks before arrival. A refundable damages deposit of £1500 is also required at that time.
