Set on a small hill facing south with a magnificient view on the Serres de Barre mountain, this newly constructed villa with private swimming pool and pretty garden is ideal to welcome a large family with children or a large group of friends.

You will love the charming villages and the beautiful nature. It is ideally located as a starting point for many excursions, sighseeing or sport activities.

Holiday Accommodation at The Villa

Ground floor:

• Living room with open kitchen: the first kitchen is new and fully equiped (microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher...). The living room is a large and sun-filled room, with plenty of room and comfortable seating with a fireplace and airconditioning.
• Bathroom 1: spacious with a large shower, toilet and hand basin
• Bedroom 1: double bed
• Bedroom 2: three single beds and a babybed
• Garage: with a washing machine

First floor:

• Dining room: dining table which seats 12
• Living room/TV place: large and sun-filled room with plenty of comfortable seating and a terrace which seats easily 12. It is also possible to accomodate one of the sofa's to a double bed in this room. Air conditioning and a fireplace are also available.
• Main kitchen: new and fully equiped: electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, gas hob...
• Bedroom 3: double bed
• Bedroom 4: double bed; it is possible to add a babybed in one of these rooms.
• Separate toilet
• Bathroom 2: with a large bad, a separate shower, toilet and hand bassin

 Outside:

A big sunny terrace near the swimming pool, with a beautiful palm tree and sun beds will welcome you! There is also a nice garden where the children can play, and a barbecue near the covered dining terrace.

About Les Vans in Ardèche, Rhone Alps

"Les Terrasses du Chassezac" is located in the small village of Chambonas, which has its own church and castle, near the Chassezac River. It is only 1km away from the charming medieval town Les Vans, where you can find lots of restaurants, bars, shops and bakeries, there is also an evening market of locally made products on Thursday and a bigger market on Saturday morning.

Lots of villages are also worth it to visit them because of their character: Naves, Brahic, Bannes, Thines, Balazuc, and Payzac with its festival of "la pleine lune".

The Chassezac river is only 500 meters away, and is ideally for playing, bathing, fishing and boating. In summer, you can hire a canoe at one of the specialised companies, to make a trip, also on the Ardèche river, varying between 2 hours and 2 days.

If you are not so found of sports, you can visit the gorges of the Ardèche by car, with its famous Pont d'Arc cut out of limestone, or visit one of the fantastics caves: l'Aven d'Orgnac, la Cocalière... Close to the border of the Gard region, Nîmes is only 1h 30min driven away where you can visit the Roman Villa and the Amphitheatre, go to one of its musical happenings, or just do some shopping.

The Mediterranean coast is just 15min away from Nîmes. In Anduze, your children will love the bambouserie and steam train ride. For a romantic day trip, visit the lovely Avignon with its famous Pont d'Avignon and la cité des Papes.

But you do not have to go so far if you just want enjoy the sunny wine covered hills, the majestic mountains, the incredible gorges and fabulous rock formations!

How To Get To Les Vans in Ardèche, The Rhone Alps (SE France)

By car: it takes about 10 hours to drive from Calais to Les Vans. You can follow the autoroute du Soleil (A7) or the cheaper route nationale (N7). Exit at Montélimar Nord, then follow Le Teil, Aubenas, Rosières, Les Vans.

By plane: Ryanair flies to Nîmes airport (Garons), there are several car hire firms and it is only 1h30min drive away from Les Vans.

By train: TGV runs to Valence, Avignon and Nîmes.
