There are seven properties to choose from we are sure they will suit families and couples alike. We also have a converted Dairy that has facilities for disabled.
The Farm and Gites of Keranmeriet are set in 100 acres of stunning Breton countryside, yet only 15 minutes drive from miles of sandy beaches. This picturesque landscape is perfect for people searching for a place to relax and unwind in. Children can explore without parents worrying, as the nearest road is 500 metres away. We also have WIFI if you like to keep a check on emails etc.
You have full use of the heated 12m x 6m pool (40ft by 20ft) which is fenced meeting E.U. regulations, with a security gate. There is also a children’s play area with swings and sandpit. Five minutes walk takes you through wooded tracks down to the meadow; bordered by the river Aven, where you can picnic on the tables provided. It is idyllic and a great suntrap on cooler days.
The protected river Aven runs through our meadow for a kilometre, where you can fish, paddle or picnic. There is also a Trout pond where you may be able to catch your dinner. Nearby you can also go trekking, caneoing and sailing. All this is surrounded by acres of woods to make it a truly special and tranquil place.
We are in an exceptional position to explore the many attractions this region has to offer. Keranmeriet is only 2 minutes from the nearest market town - Rosporden 'city of ponds' and 10 minutes drive to the Artist’s town of Pont Aven. The many miles of sandy beaches are within an easy drive of 15 mins and should you wish you could choose a different beach every day. We are also a short drive away from Concarneau a bustling fishing town with a market everyday and a medieval walled town within. Quimper is 20 mins a day with it's 13th century Cathederal and medieval streets and houses.
We are also close to Theme Parks, indoor play parks, a Zoo and an Aquarium. There are also numerous museums and Chateaux to visit or to really experience Breton life join in one of the many Breton festivals held during the summer months.
There are seven Gites on the farm: The Dairy (1 bedroom/sleeps 2/4), Odet, Belon, Moros, Minaouet (3 bedrooms/sleeps 6 plus baby), Aven (4 bedrooms/ sleeps 8 plus baby) and The Farmhouse (3 bedrooms/sleeps 6 plus baby).
All the Cottages (except The Farmhouse and The Dairy) have balcony windows with panoramic views of the Aven Valley. They have been sympathetically converted whilst still retaining original stone and wood features. Three bedrooms - sleeps 6 plus baby
This is the original Farmhouse dating back 200 years with lots of original features, it is south facing with a private fully fenced garden.
The ground floor
- Entrance hall - Opens into a corridor with a cupboard for hanging coats, with an iron and ironing board plus cleaning equipment.
- Lounge - A spacious lounge has a wood burning stove set in the original stone wall, there are also two electric wall heaters. There is a four seater sofa along with two armchairs, Television with French and English channels, DVD player, Radio, blu-tooth speaker, toys, books, magazines and a selection of indoor and outdoor toys. Free WIFI available throughout the Cottage.
- Kitchen - A separate fully fitted Kitchen with plenty workspace with a pine dining table with six chairs. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and induction hob, kettle, toaster, Cafetiere, Tassimo Coffee machine, large fridge freezer, cleaning products along with all the usual equipment you would need. A highchair or booster seat can be provided if requested.
- There is a bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and sink
First floor
A set of stairs leads to the first floor landing with three bedrooms and a bathroom.
- Master bedroom - A large bedroom with a double bed, dressing table, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, hairdryer and a large set of drawers with a view over your private garden and the courtyard.
- Bedroom Two - Has two single beds, with a chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe, with a lovely view over the courtyard and the valley beyond.
- Bedroom Three - Has two single beds, with a dressing table, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe also with a lovely view overlooking the courtyard and the valley.
- Family Bathroom - A large bathroom with a shower cubicle, bath, toilet and sink. Baby bath can also be provided along with potty, child's toilet seat if requested.
- A travel cot and stairgate can be supplied if requested.
The Garden
A fully fenced garden with a lawn plus patio, a table, six chairs and a barbeque, parasol and sun lounger, there is also a washing line for drying your clothes.
There is also a shared games room with toys (indoor and outdoor) and a table tennis table. A selection of adult and children's bikes are available for our Guests use as well as a few ride on children's toys. Lastly there is a play area with a sandpit, slide, swings and a seesaw.
Keranmeriet is in a central location to explore Brittany. Only minutes from the delights of a traditional French market or a short drive to sample the many attractions this region has to offer. Choose from shopping in the medieval streets of Quimper, wandering around the many Galleries and Water Mills of Pont Aven, cruising to the glorious Glenan Archipelago or meandering through the megaliths at Carnac. And if you want to taste the seafood that Brittany is famous for look no further than Concarneau a short drive from Keranmeriet. Alternatively you can just relax in the tranquillity of this glorious natural setting, with its abundant wildlife. You can take a stroll in 100 acres of woods, go fishing in our small Trout Lake or just pack a picnic and laze along the banks of the pretty river Aven. We have several Stables nearby if you wish to go Pony Trekking, so you can view the beautiful scenery that surrounds us or why not make use of our free mountain bikes and check out the quiet tracks and roads. Every Cottage has an information pack with lots of material on places to visit, best beaches, where to eat and shop. Free Wifi available.
Journey Times: Roscoff – 1.5 hours approx, St Malo – 2 1/2 hours approx, Caen - 4 hours approx, Cherbourg - 4 hours approx, Brest Airport - 1½ hours approx, Lorient Airport 35 mins. We have allowed plenty of time for your journey.
We have several Canoes’ that we rent: One for 2 adults and 2 children, Two for 1 person.
We have a limited number of adults and childrens mountain Bikes that can used free of charge.

By Air: There are several airports within 30 mins to an hour of Keranmeriet and these are serviced by various airlines. We have listed their website addresses for your information on our own website as flights and prices can change frequently.
By Sea: Several cross-channel ferries sail direct to Brittany, for example Brittany Ferries. We also have a 10% discount code for our Guest when travelling with Brittany Ferries. There are other ports and it is worth looking on their websites or calling them for the best travel route for you.
By Train: It is possible to catch the train to Rosporden (only 2km) via Paris.

Just come back from a week with family of 8 (3 generations), and hired Farmhouse and Odet Cottage. Erika and Rob couln't be better hosts, from the welcoming freshly cut wildflowers to the wealth of information they have about the local area. The accomodation was spotless and well equiped and felt all very new and up to date. The place still had a feeling of a farm yard and being able to feed the chickens the kitchen scraps was a highlight for the little ones. There is also a play barn, and although we didn't have a drop of rain, they still enjoyed going inside and playing with a variety of toys and games. The pool of course was a great success! The surroundings, with the wooded walk down to the meadow and pond, the open fields, well kept gardens and the vast amount of wildlife, was a delight. Rosporden was only 10 minutes away with 2 supermarkets and a brilliant boulangerie for those morning croissants. Really good beaches in easy reach, lovely local towns like Concarnea and Pont Aven on the doorstop and even Brest with its amazing aquarium was only an hour away. We’ve just returned from a stay in the Farmhouse at Keranmeriet, and none of us wanted to leave. It’s a wonderful place set in the Brittany countryside but not far from the many beaches. We were a family of 4, and the spacious farmhouse was perfect for us. The shared pool here really is the perfect place to relax and our children - 11 and 14 - loved it. The owners, Erica and Rob, are great hosts, making you feel welcome on their farm and willing to answer any questions about the property or the local area. They were also very diligent in handling the booking, payments etc and provided a detailed route to reach their property from Roscoff. We were looking for somewhere to relax after a stressful few years and this was the perfect location.Guest rating:
We recently returned to Keranmeriet where we have stayed a number of times in various of the 7 gites. This time it was in the huge farmhouse. We keep returning because of the hosts and the position, countryside yet so close to the best beaches in France, with names like tahiti and le paradis. The gites are well equipped and built of massive stone walls, having previously been barns. The pool is perfect, warm with lovely surroundings for dozing adults or children. You can go on lovely walks without leaving the farm, but dont miss the beaches! Rob and Erika are wonderful hosts, completely unobtrusive but magically there if you need them. You will feel the gites is yours. Blissfully peaceful, I can highly recommend a stay at Keranmeriet.Guest rating:

Additional price notes
- Due to the rising fuel costs there will be an additional charge for electricity used during all rentals in the low season from October to the end of April. Each Cottage has it's own meter and the rate is .40cts per kwh used.
- Free wood is supplied for the wood burner.
- Changeover day is Saturday, but flexible out of high season.
- Ample car parking.
- We are open all year, weekend and mid week breaks are available out of high season.
- We live at Keranmeriet and are on hand to offer a personal service.

- Please note that the Cottages are only let for a two week period from 27th July until 24th August 2023, unless we have a one week slot available, please check availability calendar for each Cottage.
