18thC Provencal Stone Farmhouse, Large Pool
Long Winter Lets available, please do not hesitate to enquire
Mas Berangere is a lovely 18th century stone farmhouse set in 2 acres of private gardens with wisteria, lavender and mimosa scenting the air.
Situated on the edge of the medieval village of Vers Pont du Gard, in the valley of the river Gardon, we are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and orchards. The Mas and 3 gites have been renovated to preserve their character and charm, whilst providing modern day comforts and convenience.
The very large 15 x 7 meters pool and full size table tennis will delight children and the active alike, and there are plenty of tree-shaded areas (and sunshades) for those who prefer to relax. Each property has a private garden or terrace with outside dining and bbq.
We offer an area with petanque field for relaxing.
The river and its beaches are 200 metres away. A 2km stroll through the wild herbs of the garrigue is the Roman acqueduct, the Pont du Gard. The vibrant cities of Uzes (10km), Nimes (27km), Avignon (27km) and Arles (40km) are all very easy to reach.
We look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful part of Provence.
With 360 days of sunshine a year an ideal location at anytime.

Mas Berangere is surrounded by history and beauty as well as vineyards and orchards!
The local village of Vers Pont du Gard is less than 1 km away and has a pharmacy, mini market, butcher, baker, tabac, and cafe/bar as well as a wine co-operative and upmarket restaurant. The nearest restaurant is about 200 metres. Vers supplied the stone for the Roman Pont du Gard which is 2km from the house.
The beautiful medieval city of Uzes, with its 12thC Cathedral Tower (like Pisa but without the lean), is just 10km, and is as famous for its great Saturday market (there's a smaller version on Wednesdays) as it is for its major festivals of music, dance, wine and truffles.
Berangere is ideally placed for the Palais des Papes, drama festival and "pont" of Avignon (27km); The Roman amphitheatre and arena at Arles (40km), the home of Van Gogh; while the vibrant city of Nimes whose Roman arena is used for concerts, festivals and bullfights is 27km (also home to Norman Foster's Museum of Modern Art). The white horses, flamingoes, bulls and beaches of the Camargue are an hour away.
We are also very well placed for wine tasting and buying - there are some really excellent and little known producers within 15km.
The large gardens of Mas Berangere overlook the the cliffs and trees of the Gorge Du Gardon and the river itself is about 200m away with beaches and canoeing. The valley is a protected nature reserve which is an important sanctuary for birdlife.
The coast is 60 minutes drive.
