Located in the Oasis Les Jardins holiday park (formerly known as Les Jardins des Sables d’Olonne) this peaceful villa complex is situated 5km from Les Sables d'Olonne, a lively and popular seaside resort with excellent sandy beaches and all the facilities one would expect from a holiday destination with an excellent reputation.
The family-friendly residence offers various on site facilities such as tennis court, table tennis, bike hire and play area, bar with large TV screen and terrace as well as an acclaimed restaurant.
Nearby Les Sables d’Olonne is Vendee’s best known and largest resort. With its long promenade, choice of wide sandy beaches and excellent quayside restaurants, it is a popular destination for a family seaside holiday. It has a thriving fishing port and world class marina which is the start and finish point of the prestigious Vendee Globe sailing event, a single-handed race around the world.
The Atlantic coast is under a kilometre from the park, the nearest beach just 2km away and the famous Puy du Fou theme park just an hour away.

Les Sables d’Olonne (5km)
Les Sables d’Olonne is Vendee’s best known and largest resort. Le Puy du Fou (93km)
With over 1.5 million visitors a year, Le Puy du Fou is the fourth most popular attraction in France. It is a fantastic attraction for all ages, and more than a theme park in the traditional sense. It offers a selection of wonderful historical shows ranging from Roman circus games to world-class falconry. The main show takes place in the evening on a huge outdoor stage behind the ruined castle. It tells the story of the 700 years of history in the area in the form of a memorable sound and light show.
St Gilles Croix de Vie (34km)
The attractive seaside resort and fishing harbour of St Gilles Croix de Vie straddles the River Vie. The resort has a beautiful promenade lined with shops, cafes and restaurants, with rocky coves and small beaches to the north of the river mouth and the main sandy beach to the south.
Noirmoutier (83km)
Noirmoutier is a delightful low-lying island just off the Vendee coast. Accessed by either an ancient tidal causeway or modern bridge this small isle has a real Mediterranean feel with its whitewashed houses with contrasting terracotta tiles and blue shutters surrounded by pine forests. The island makes its living mainly from the sea with oyster and mussel beds and small harbours with colourful fishing boats.
Ile D’Yeu (sailings from Fromentine 66km)
Ile D’Yeu is a small island lying six miles off the Vendee coast. It is a microcosm of the nearby mainland with a colourful fishing port, sandy beaches backed by dunes and pine forests, sheltered coves and low cliffs. The hour long ferry sails to Port-Joinville, a bustling harbour with and the main town on the island with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants lining harbour side.
Marais Poitevin (77km)
Known as the ‘Venise Verte’ or ‘Green Venice’ the Marais Poitevin is a tranquil wetland made up of natural watercourses, man-made canals as well as meadows, dykes and fens. This remarkable area of marshland is full of wildlife and the dominant features of the landscape are the poplar trees, which shade the waterways, bending and rustling in the wind. The best way to discover this wildlife haven is by boat and these can be hired from several local centres, including the pretty village of Coulon.

How to get to Villa Sequoia
One of the reasons for the popularity of Vendee to the British is the relatively short driving distance to sunshine. For many in the south of England, Vendee can be reached in a day, albeit a long one. The much improved roads across the north of France offer a short sea crossing from Dover with a 6 to 7 hour drive. Alternatively, a longer (and less frequent) crossing to Normandy or St Malo means a shorter drive of between 3 and 4 ½ hours once in France.
Vendee is well served by flights from the UK. The nearest airports are:

We were very happily surprised on arriving at our villa. We loved the space, the living, dining and cooking areas being very spacious and well designed. Everyone was very pleased with their respective bedrooms
Only downside with the outside was the weather (obviously out of your control). All of us very much enjoyed the pool, it's privacy and sun deck area. We were able to eat most of our meals outside and the boys had lots of space to play games and we felt very safe for them on the site.
We had couple of small issues on arrival with broken bin, bedroom blind but these were dealt with extremely quickly and by very friendly gentlemen

Once again, we had a fabulous holiday. Thank you for ensuring the pool was clean and the wine was gratefully received! The villa, pool and garden we’re all wonderful. The reception staff were extremely helpful in arranging reservations etc. We do try to speak some French but the reception staff all spoke excellent English which was most helpful! We enjoyed the complementary tennis and the girls enjoyed the garden chess and play area. My only negative feedback would be to see the crazy golf still in such a sorry state. They really shouldn’t be charging to use it! We ended up playing crazy golf near the beach! Thanks again for your professional and accommodating service.

Me and my family, and my inlaws visited this Villa Complex in Le Sable D'lonne last summer and we had a superb time so this year we decided to book the same Villa complex so we could enjoy yet another week in the Sun! Unfortunately things did not quite go to plan as 2 weeks prior to our holiday my father inlaw fell ill and was no longer able to come. I let Christophe know as soon as I found out and he was very considerate of our situation and was happy to help at such short notice, after speaking to whoever he needed to he offered us half of our money back and said that Select Villas would keep the other half so that we could put it towards return journey next year or at such late notice he was happy to let us bring along another family instead. We opted for other family members to join us (my brother, wife and his kids) as we did not want our children to miss out on a holiday. I thought this offer was very generous of Christophe and the team as most holiday companies would have probably turned a blind eye to this, so thankyou for understanding! Our holiday itself was brilliant again, the Villa, the staff, the location all spot on. Le Sable is a lovely place to visit with a great port and a selection of fine restaurants as well as an amazing sandy beach which runs for miles. All in all we have had a great experience and would recommend Christophe and Select Villas if you are looking to head to France. The Ferry was a bit wobbly on the way home though....!

We had a lovely holiday in Les Jardins. The check in service was very easy and the staff were very helpful and had excellent English. The villa was very clean inside with plenty of glassware and plates. The linen and towels were very clean The pool was clean and someone came to clean it during our stay. One problem we had was the sun umbrella and sun shade outside. We could not put up the sun umbrella over the table as it did not fit under the wooden pergola. Also one of the patio chairs was broken. It was very hot during our stay so more shade would have being great. Other than that all was very good.

We had a wonderful 8 days. Having the little village nearby was a huge bonus, so we had a couple of evenings there as unfortunately I suffered a back injury, so was not up to walking to many places.
I will try to be concise in this feedback, so invariably my comments should be taken as a "broad brush” approach!
Good points:
1) Good value for money for what we had. Maybe because it was not ‘high’ season?
2) Good position (we are no longer big city people, so did not really take to Sable d’Olonne, but loved the little village of Pironiere just on our doorstep. It had everything you need on holiday, including great pizzas, a friendly bar, fresh veg, post box, stationary etc!)
3) Very spacious lounge and kitchen area, well stocked with good quality utensils.
4) Good free wifi access to the villa.
5) Great restaurant on site for a 'treat meal’, fabulous food. I can see why they are so well booked.
6) Lovely to have hot croissants and bread on site first thing in the morning.
7) Ten out of ten for cleanliness all round.
8) Very private, even though there were so many villas (we did not get our swimsuits wet all week !!)
9) Great to have one’s own car parking space and private boules court next to the villa.
10) Excellent staff, very attentive, language no probs, even when we tried our poor French, we were understood.
11) Having a heated pool for €20 a day was a real bonus, especially first thing in the morning.
Not such good points:
1) Bedrooms very cramped, difficult to get into very low beds, so we only used downstairs bedrooms
2) Metal bed frames were a bit unforgiving, resulting in a few bruised shins!!
3) Understandable, but nearly all TV, videos, books etc. in Dutch!
4) I can’t think of any other negatives, and these 3 were the only minor gripes.Guest rating:
Thank you for your note regarding our stay at Villa Sequoia in August. We were extremely happy with both the staff, efficient booking service and together with the high standard of accommodation. We would therefore certainly recommend Select Villas to any of our friends.

We had a nice holiday but were slightly disappointed with the villa - the bedrooms were quite small and cramped. For the space available I think it would have been better for there to be one bedroom upstairs and maybe one double and one single downstairs. In one of the doubles downstairs one side of the bed was placed right against the wall so if there were two people in that room they would both have to get in and out of the bed from the same side. That said, we really liked the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area and the veranda outside. The pool was not as big as others we have had on villa holidays but it was warm and kept our grandson happy. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we liked the location of the parc and its quiet and relaxing ambience.

We enjoyed our stay at Jardins d’Olonne: the villa was as we expected from your descriptions and was perfect for a family of 4 adults and 2 children. The whole booking process and your aftercare could not have been bettered. There were a couple of housekeeping issues on arrival which were quickly resolved by the local staff who were very helpful throughout the week. Thank you for all your help and attention.

We had a great time at the villa. It was lovely and clean and well equipped. The garden had ample furniture and was not overlooked by other properties. The only change I would suggest is to have the pool cleaned before guests arrive rather than the day after.
The facilities on site were good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Booking with Select Villas went very smoothly and communication was efficient and professional at all times. I would definitely recommend Select Villas and Jardins d’Olonne to others.

We had a wonderful break, the complex was worth our journey. The location was excellent, only a few minutes’ drive to Les Sables D'Olonne and the many restaurants together with the beaches and walks. The onsite restaurant is well worth the visit and would certainly recommend it.
