South-facing villa with indoor pool, hot tub & enclosed garden, walking distance to beach. This south-facing villa enjoys a large, enclosed garden, private indoor pool and hot tub and is located just 900m from the beach on a lovely stretch of Brittany’s south coast, between Concarneau and Lorient. The proximity to the beach, garden, games room and indoor pool - where children can be easily supervised - makes this an ideal location for a family holiday at any time of the year. The heated indoor pool is very much at the heart of this modern villa with easy access - and close supervision of children possible - from the surrounding living accommodation. With the lounge area to one side, games room to the other, dining area and kitchen at one end and large, south-facing terrace opposite, the pool can be accessed from all sides, making supervision possible whilst sat at the dining table or in the living area. The property, furnished in a neutral, contemporary style is situated in a quiet location down a track leading to just a few houses, including one of our other properties - Freemantle - to the front, and within 900 metres of a Blue Flag beach. One of the two sandy coves is supervised by lifeguards (high season only) and there are rock pools and the Ile Percée, a rocky islet accessible on foot at low tide, to explore. The large, enclosed garden, is mainly flat and grassed, the perfect place for children to let off steam in relative safety. The nearby village of Kergroes (2km) has a bakery and small supermarket, with a larger choice of shops plus restaurants in Moelan sur Mer (6km).

Doelan (11km) The nearby unspoilt fishing port of Doelan is now famous across France. This quiet haven at the mouth of a wooded creek with just a few quayside restaurants, bars and cafes was the location for the hit French TV version of Doc Martin (with the same title as the original UK series).
Le Pouldu (14km) This quiet seaside resort has a choice of sandy beaches.
COASTAL WALKS
With over 700 miles of coastline Brittany offers a great variety of walking for all levels from dramatic cliffs to marshland teeming with wildlife and wooded tidal creeks to long sandy beaches backed by sand dunes. Including a stretch of the coast in a circular walk is often very straightforward. This is especially easy where peninsulas jut out into the sea and following the coast path brings you almost back to your starting point.
DAY TRIP IDEAS
Pont-Aven (17km)
Pont-Aven is a small village famous for its buttery biscuits and numerous art galleries. Many painters, including Gauguin, were attracted by the beauty of Pont-Aven and all the surrounding area. Pont-Aven has many old mills, traditional stone-built houses and many seafood restaurants. The town also hosts a flower festival on the first Sunday in August.
Concarneau (33km)
The main attraction of this important fishing port on the south Brittany coast is Ville Clos, a small walled town built on an island in the natural harbour. Accessed by a bridge from the quayside, the narrow streets within the granite ramparts are lined with shops and restaurants.
Lorient (36km)
Lorient has a rich naval history and the many yachts and buildings surrounding the harbour reflect this as well as the German submarine base which has been turned into a tourist attraction. Why not spend the day in Lorient and hop on a ferry to the Ile de Groix which is located opposite the property. The crossing takes 45 minutes and the island which is the second biggest in Brittany after Belle-Ile has much to offer including lovely beaches, pretty colourful houses in the village, market twice a week and you can even hire bikes to cycle around the island on cycle paths over moorland, hidden coves and many beautiful beaches.
La Forêt-Fouesnant (41km)
Pretty coastal Breton village set in a wooded area between Concarneau and Bénodet. There is lots to do and visit here with a number of footpaths and hiking trails, the old harbour and the superb granite church, the long sandy beach and the marina “Port-La-Forêt”, the third biggest marina in South Brittany, where you can find some of the greatest offshore racing skippers.
Ile de Groix (53km)
The island is accessible by boat from Lorient. The crossing lasts about 50 minutes and the landmarks worth seeing are Port-Louis 16th century fortification, the Grands Sables beach and the Pen Men lighthouse. The island has a wonderful landscape with high and jagged cliffs, seashell beaches as well as coves with red sand or wide stretches of thin and white sand. It is also home of bird reserve which protects a wide range of seabirds.
Quimper (53km)
Although it has a feel of a small village Quimper is Brittany’s Finistere capital. With its slanted half-timbered houses and narrow cobbled streets, great museums, excellent “crêperies”, famous pottery and one of Brittany’s most delightful setting along the Odet river Quimper is a jewel waiting to be discovered.
Carnac (79km)
Carnac has the rather unusual juxtaposition of being a very popular seaside resort with lovely sandy beaches and home to one of the world’s most important prehistoric sites. Over 3000 stones of varying, yet unusually modest, proportions lie in densely packed parallel alignments, stretching for over one kilometre.
NEARBY ACTIVITIES
The region offers many sporting and leisure activities.
Surfing school 14km away (Plage de Kerou) or in Guidel Plage (25km) offering surfing, sailing, jet skiing and canoeing.
Horse riding 7km in Moëlan sur Mer.
Tennis 5km in Moëlan sur Mer.
Centre Aquatique du Moustoir in Lorient (35km) or Oceanis aquatic complex in Ploemeur (36km) both with pool, slide, water game areas, spa, sauna, aquagym.
Tree top adventure park Le Poisson Volant (37km) just outside Ploemeur.
Parc du Quinquis (15km) in Clohars Carnoët: Family run park including a variety of animals (kangaroos, goats, donkeys, deer, peacocks and more) roaming freely whilst visitors can mingle within this preserved botanical park.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Mooloolooba. The villa was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed using the pool and sauna and these were definitely a highlight for us, along with the pool, ping pong table and well proportioned garden. I would say that the villa could perhaps do with a couple more fans, as it got very hot during our stay and we were unable to keep windows open due to mosquitos.
Vanessa was there shortly after we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly and showed us around the villa, explaining how to use the pool and other equipment. She was contactable during our stay and was very responsive.
The contact with yourself has also been fantastic, you have been most helpful so thank you for everything.
We would definitely recommend Villa Mooloolooba to our friends and family and wouldn't hesitate to stay there againGuest rating:
We thought the local contact was excellent. She was very responsive if we needed and worked exactly as we needed for our arrival and departure.
We know the area quite well although not stayed quite there before but the house is well positioned and accessible for all main areas to visit.
The facilities in the villa are excellent - table tennis, pool, sauna and hot tub. All worked well particularly when the weather is a bit iffy and when children are visiting. My youngest was very well entertained and enjoyed the facilities. The outside space is also excellent. Great decking area and garden contained. Parking space with the gate is very small though so wouldn't suit a large car.
It's the villa's facilities that promote it best. We very much enjoyed relaxing and have always loved BrittanyGuest rating:
Just stayed at Mooloolooba in Moelan sur Mar and had a great time. Heated pool, hot tub, pool table and large gardens. Also really close to the beach (amazing sunsets) and close to great towns to visit….Port Aven a must! Would recommend

Hi Christophe,
We had a fabulous time and the house was beyond our expectations The open plan layout was great and the pool was just perfect. Everything we needed was there and the local area was beautiful.
Just a little helpful feedback...
The downstairs bedroom could really do with an accessible bathroom. My dad has mobility problems and getting in and out of the bath was a real problem.
Air Con would be a real bonus. The upstairs gets really hot and leaving the windows item led to us being eaten by mosquitoes!
But that is being very picky indeed and we would all give the property 10 out of 10 so this is only meant to be constructive feedback.
Many thanks for all your help in sorting our perfect family holiday!Guest rating:
Seven of us stayed here and it was so spacious, comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The pool area and terrace were fantastic, and the amount of patio doors make the place feel really open and great for communal living. The bathrooms were particularly light and spacious too. The pool table, table tennis, steam room and huge lawn for the little one to run around on made the stay extra special. We loved walking down to Plage de Trenez (15 minutes) most evenings to watch the beautiful sunset, and the nearest boulangerie in Kergroes was ‘walkable’ too (about 20 minutes). We also did a number of coastal walks straight from the villa without having to drive anywhere first. It was the perfect spot for a memory making holiday.

Hi Christophe,
We all had a great holiday, the villa was superb, very hard to fault. Vanessa was very helpful, so absolutely no complaints from us. The weather was also very kind to us.
Thanks for all your help too...

Superb house with pool and hot tub. Located in southern Brittany, 900 m from the beach and great for walks along the cliffs. The villa is very nice, swimming pool heated to 29 or even 30 degrees and hot tub with a temperature of 37 degrees. Master en suite downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. Very well appointed, pool table, ping pong table, brand new Weber barbecue. Christophe at Select Villas delivered a service which matched our expectations and found us this property. Vanessa who welcomed us on our arrival had placed a bottle of champagne and Breton cakes on behalf of Select Villas.
Guest rating:
The house is really beautiful! Very nice area, excellent benefits with the indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, billiards, table tennis and not to mention the huge garden not overlooked by neighbours! We had a great week in this house which is 700m from the beaches. Would book again without hesitation
Guest rating:
Our party consisted of myself, my husband, our 2 grown up sons and their girlfriends - so 6 adults. We found the property suited our needs very well, especially as there were 3 bathrooms and each couple had their own. The living space also worked well, giving opportunities for people to do things separately and together. We
all enjoyed using the swimming pool, hot tub and the billiard table. Most evenings we were able to eat in the garden and the BBQ was a great asset. During the week, our party enjoyed walking along the coastal path, visiting the local beaches. Most days someone cycled to the local boulangerie for fresh bread and pastries. There were lots of interesting places to visit in the region either by car or within cycling distance - our favourite was Pont Aven. We also had a family day kayaking from Quimperle to Pouldhu. I would say that the villa is well-equipped and well situated. My eldest son met Vanessa on arrival. I had been in contact with her by phone and she was friendly and welcoming. We also met Jacques - he did the paperwork etc and showed us how to operate the hot tub and connect to us a bit about the local area and current events. At the property, there was a lot of leaflets and information available on local attractions. During the search and booking process, you were very
helpful and I appreciated your input. The directions to the property were really useful and it was great knowing that you or Peter were just a phone call away. You made the whole process of choosing a villa to suit our needs very easy and it was perfect. Thank you so much for all your help and patience. This was our first family
holiday for quite a few years, also the first with my sons' partners and everything was wonderful. I would definitely consider booking with you again and I know that the boys would also look at booking with Select Villas in the future.Guest rating:
