Very attractive villa with private pool in the southern part of the Luberon. Decorated with taste, the property is a real delight and you will enjoy the spacious and relaxing living room overlooking the valley. The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern cons and the bedrooms nicely decorated. The terrace lends itself nicely to enjoy al fresco dining whilst overlooking the pool and superb views of the typical Provencal garden and countryside. Villa Victoire is located just a couple of minutes’ walk from all facilities such as a bakery, butcher, bars, bank etc. Although the villa is situated close to the centre of the village it is set in a quiet and secluded spot somehow giving the feeling of being in the countryside. This property is just a short drive from lovely villages such as Lourmarin (5km) which is known for being one of the most beautiful villages in France and Cadenet (7km) a typical Provencal village with a castle and great views of the Luberon mountains. Another village worth a visit is La Tour D’Aigues (23km) and its castle or the town of Pertuis (20km) with its historic past and impressive architecture including numerous fountains, vaulted arches and pretty colourful streets.

Provencal markets in Lauris every Monday or Cadenet (7km), market on Tuesday in Cucuron (15km), Friday in Lourmarin (7km) - particularly recommended. On Saturday there is a market in Apt, the largest and best market in the area. It takes up the whole town, but the nicest part is towards the Place de la Bouquerie. Please note that in summer, it can take a bit of time to find a place to park
DAY TRIP IDEAS:

Firstly, with regard to Select Villas, we found you to be very efficient and great at communication. From pre-booking queries through to our arrival, the process ran extremely smoothly.
As regards the villa, Villa Victoire it was in a lovely village and the location was perfect. Not overlooked and private but with a bakery just round the corner. The pool was delightful and the terrace for sitting and eating was gorgeous. It was ridiculously hot but the single air conditioning did a good job of keeping most of the house cool. The house was spacious and pleasant. Our friends loved the location as lots was within a one hour drive including two amphitheatres, the beach and several great towns to visit. We spent most of the time at the villa which worked great for all the children aged 10 to 18.
We would stay again but would need more chopping boards! The house was perfect for a group and the outdoor seating was the best we have had in a villa. Quite idyllic with the vines growing overhead. My son's best bit was when a cricket shed its skin and it dropped from the vine just next to us!
Thank you for arranging the villa - we will definitely look at your villas again in the futureGuest rating:
We had a great time at Villa Victoire. The facilities were exactly as described on the advert and the pool area was fantastic. It is a beautiful house. The outlook from the villa is incredible as it has a high vantage point over the valley below over to the hills on the other side of the river.
The only issue we had was the lack of air conditioning. We had to buy extra fans to circulate air in the house due to the heat, especially at night time. I appreciate the south of France as well as the rest of Europe was unusually hot this year which obviously didn't help.
In relation to the service offered by you and the villa host.
The service you personally provided was first class from first contact right through until we travelled. Any questions I raised were answered promptly. I cant thank you enough for your help. I'd definitely recommend your site to anybody looking to rent a villa in France.
The service provided by the villa owner and her mother was also first class. Firstly agreeing to our late check in was much appreciated and then accepting our security deposit in Sterling was a big help. Saved me having to exchange it into Euros which would have probably cost me money overall.
On the day of travel our flight was delayed and I phoned the owner who was totally sympathetic to our issues and made me feel at ease with the situation. As instructed I contacted her on our arrival in Marseille. This was after 11pm and again she could not have been more helpful.
On arrival at the villa the owner's mother, met us and gave us access to the villa. This was well after midnight and again she could not have been more helpful. She let us get settled in and returned the next day to complete the formalities. Throughout our time there the owner's mother was on hand to offer local advice.
Can you pass on my thanks to both ladies.
All in all we had a great time in Lauris and the villa was a great base for accessing the town as well as other nearby and further afield areas. As well as having a hire car we found the bus service through the town gave us access to Cavaillon and Aix en Provence with rail links from those towns to Marseille and other major cities in the south of France.
My wife and I are looking at returning to Lauris, possibly next yearGuest rating:
