Le Mimosa is a fabulously equipped 5 bedroom private villa (with 3 master bedrooms) spacious detached villa offering wonderful village life convenience with cafes, restaurant & weekly street markets within walking distance. Due to the layout, the villa is ideal for 3 families or a group of friends holidaying together as it offers plenty of space & privacy. The open-plan kitchen/sitting room has been meticulously furnished & equipped-
- There are two large farmhouse kitchen tables where you can enjoy freshly baked croissants each morning, or spend many enjoyable hours whilst enjoying your evening meal. You have everything you would expect to find in the kitchen, including cafetiere, also for coffee lovers a Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine, microwave & two fridge/freezers - very important! Lots of large serving dishes, crockery and cutlery have also been supplied so there will be no shortages when preparing a large family meal.
- Those little extras - Le Mimosa is a self-catering holiday home so you will need to bring/buy basic essentials. However, to make things a little easier for your arrival you will find, complimentary, a small supply of essentials including tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, dish-cloths, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, kitchen foil, cling-film, and toilet roll.
- We have also catered for the little ones - with child-friendly crockery & cutlery, themed placemats, a baby-bottle warmer, hand food blender, a microwavable bottle steriliser, a high chair and a pushchair (all included in the price).
- Additional children's equipment - If you have more than one baby needing a high chair, travel cot or pushchair extra equipment can be hired for the duration of your holiday.

- The kids will enjoy the children's outdoor play area with swings, slide, and sandpit, table tennis and swingball.
- The covered outdoor terrace area overlooks the swimming pool and garden areas and has sun loungers with comfy cushions - ideal for your 5 o'clock Pimms! You will also love the large chimney-style barbecue, which cooks food to perfection!
- The fenced, heated and PRIVATE swimming pool is viewed by your outdoor terrace area and surrounded by mature gardens.
- The pool is fully fenced and has a lockable gate with a padlock for which the parents hold the key.

Location, Location, Location..... :) Le Mimosa is just a minute walk away from cafes/restaurant and a fabulous twice-weekly street market in the months of July and August plus a super little kids park to stop off to or from your morning bakery visit!
Le Mimosa is supremely well placed for access to all the very best of the region's attractions. The seaside resort of La Tranche Sur Mer is almost on the doorstep, at less than a ten-minute drive away. Here you can find clean, golden sands, a sunny microclimate (worthy of the south of France) and great family entertainment. Not much further afield are the calm and scenic waterways of the Marais Poitevin and stunning vistas of vineyards, sunflowers, and poppies, depending on the season.
Located so close to the village of Angles you and the kids can pop out in the morning to pick up a fresh baguette, croissants or some yummy fresh cakes from one of the two wonderful bakers in the village. A great opportunity for you all to practice your French each morning. Or visit in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants - a delightful hotel restaurant, bistro, pizza restaurant or the new creperie! The village of Angles is just a minute walk from Le Mimosa on the flat.
The village has an Office de Tourisme, two boulangeries (bakers), a post office, banks, hairdressers, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, creperie, cafes/bars and restaurants. Also that important 'cave' for locally-produced wine plus a quaint boutique of arts/crafts for the perfect holiday gift. A large Brocante (antique centre), mini-supermarkets and excellent butchers and fishmongers. Just on the outskirts of the village (a 5-minute cycle) is a large supermarket and two petrol stations as well as additional restaurants, a Boulanger, and beauty spa.
During the summer months Angles benefits from a twice-weekly market, held on Wednesdays and Sundays, so you can enjoy this typically French way of shopping for your fresh fruit and veg, local wines and cheeses, housewares, plants and even the latest fashions.
A great little park area is just a minute walk from Le Mimosa and many hours can be spent here as there is also a large green area for a great game of football or rounder's too.....! Just 5 minutes away in Longeville sur Mer there are two further kids parks plus an outdoor FREE gymnasium....!

Fabulous child-friendly villa
This villa really does have it all! We couldn't fault a thing and after having lost our original holiday booked due to COVID-19 (with another owner) were so please to have found Donna’s amazing place - she was super helpful in getting us booked in with everything promptly sent through via a fabulous on line guidebook. The villa is spacious, light, clean and really well laid out for a family of 6 adults and 4 kids. The pool was fenced, which was our no.1 priority having kids under 10 and the village was just a 1 minute walk away with a cute little park for the kids to enjoy. The area had so much to offer but we really didn't need to leave the house as it was stacked with toys to keep the kids entertained and to be honest, it was perfect given the worries of the pandemic. Donna and her team were fully equipped to make sure we had a safe and enjoyable time and supplied lots of helpful cleaning and disinfectant sprays, hand gels etc. and a supply of masks which came in very handy as we forgot to take spares! This villa was the perfect place to relax and unwind after such an uncertain and worrying year. We have already re-booked for 2021 as these types of villas and the excellent customer care offered by Donna are very hard to find. Amazing family holiday villa
We found the new online guide book invaluable (the best we have ever seen) which really helped us pre-plan the first week of our holiday. Le Mimosa was very well appointed and the personal touches for our arrival were excellent. Le Mimosa is a fantastic property that ticked all the boxes for what we were looking for as a family. We love the village of Angles and there is so much to do and see right on your doorstep in the surrounding area. Day trips included visiting the O’gliss water park and the zoo at Les Sables, both were really good days out. All the kids toys and games supplied were excellent as was the cleanliness of the villa and our overall holiday - We can't wait to come back!

We stayed at Le Mimosa at the beginning of June with three 4 year olds and a 3 year old. The house was exceptionally well equipped and had everything that you needed. There was certainly no need to take anything extra for the children and the toys that were there were perfect for their age group. They loved dressing up and they entertained themselves for hours. The location was perfect for exploring with lots of beaches within 10 mins drive and some parks just a little further. The Le Mimosa guide has some great suggestions of places to go.The advantage of going in early June was there were very few crowds however you do need to check opening time of the parks as some were not open or only opened at weekends. The bakery was fabulous and we made a daily trip in the morning for an array of different pastries and breads. We were unfortunate with the weather and alas had to find several things to do in wet and cold. The aquarium at La Rochelle was great and there was a soft play centre at La Roche (Royal Kids), which helped on a particularly stormy day. All the the team at Le Mimosa were great, Tracey, Rich, Jay and Donna and so quick to help. The holiday house was perfect for what we needed we wished the weather had been kinder but lots of people mentioned it was unusually cold for June and the day after we left (14th) it went from 18 degrees to 28!

Having pre-school kids we were able to take advantage of the fabulous weather in France in September. We booked Le Mimosa last minute and were just thrilled with the villa and super warm and incredibly safe pool (fully fenced with lock gate) it's the most well equipped villa we have EVER stayed in with lots of extras that really made it a "home from home" experience. The village was just a minutes walk away so each morning we stopped off in the little play-park on our way back from collecting our croissants and baguettes - the kids loved it. The beaches were spectacular and definitely a favourite part of the holiday, sandy beaches as far as the eye could see. My 2 year old loved all the dressing up clothes and toys and was very disappointed she couldn't take them all home. Donna and her team were ever so thoughtful and caring making sure we had everything we needed and the personal touches on arrival were great. The layout of the house was perfect for us (4 adults and 2 kids), but with 3 double bedrooms and an extra kids room, it would certainly fit in easily another couple with kids. We had a wonderful week at Mimosa and highly recommend this great house and area.

We couldnt have asked for a better location for our family holiday. we could wander down to the patissetie for our morning croissants and pain au chocolat. The beautiful safe sandy beaches were only a 10 min drive away and there was a waterslide park and chateau de adventures 15 mins so we didnt need to travel far to entertain our 3 children. the gite was so well equipped with toys books and games inside and out didnt always have to go out to keep them entertained. their happy place was by the pool and it was so warm clean and safe we were able to relax and watch them having fun.

We had a mixed age holiday 75 down to 4 and we all had a wonderful time. Booking was easy and the staff were all really helpful, we couldn’t have asked for better service. The house was perfect for all ages with toys for all from Wii to dressing up clothes for the little one. Really clean and the pool was fabulous. The location was excellent as it was so close to beach, supermarket and a short walk to the village. . Brilliant work Donna and Jay.

Highly Recommended. Just had our second holiday at “Mimosa” and have booked again for next year. It’s a great place for a 3 generation family holiday with lots to do for children of all ages. The pool is excellent. Extremely well maintained and safe. Loads of toys & games for the kids. The kitchen is very well equipped and the layout of the house is perfect for the extended family. Lots of thought and effort have been put into providing everything you can think of for a great family break. The management team drop by from time to time to make sure everything is ok. Beaches are just a 15 minute drive away. The village is just a few minutes walk. There’s a street market there twice a week in the season - Don’t miss it.

Angles in the Vendee. Spacious, well appointed delightful property. Perfect for one large family or two families in separate parts of the house. The pool and hot tub, the magnificent outdoor dining area are perfect for holiday en plain aired experience. Overall a great family friendly property with some thoughtful extras for the children. The dress up inclusions and chalk board a nice touch. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in The Vendee.

My family all went together and stayed in La Mimosa for our summer holiday and it was incredible. The layout of the house made it seem like it was never crowded but we were able to eat together every day around the massive table which was one of my favourite parts of the stay. The pool was fantastic and it was hard to get the children out of there at any time of the day. The house is equipped with everything you could need and the village is lovely and quiet. There are plenty of things to do nearby, especially for children. Would definitely recommend and definitely go there again.

My father kindly booked this villa for us all over the summer this July and it was fantastic. The villa when you arrive takes you’re breath away and as you explore it seems to go on forever. The villa has a hub in the centre that everyone can use and enjoy making meal times a delight, even when there were 13 of us sat at the table to eat!! I cannot fault the villa at all. Outside is a million times better than inside. The pool is the perfect temperature and is wonderfully clean. It has more than enough room for everyone outside with a large range of facilities. We found we used the giant connect 4 constantly on the decking and the kids were all constantly using the big chalk board. The local village is beautiful and everyone was very friendly. Everything was thought of with regards to children’s toys and comforts. The smart tv was excellent, but maybe instructions for that would be helpful. From start to finish it felt like luxurious holiday in your own home. I wish we could go back again.

Everything about our holiday was great. Booking was easy and any questions we had were answered swiftly. When we arrived we were so pleased to see how the house was presented. We all said 'wow' as we walked in and looked at everything. The children were thrilled with all the toys etc. and the chalk board was a lovely touch. It didn't take long for us all to put our costumes on and jump into the fabulous pool. The house was right on top of the lovely quiet village which had everything you needed including a market on Wednesday and Sunday.

From the moment we entered the property we were impressed. We absolutely loved the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen area with large door opening onto the patio. The kitchen was the best equipped I have come across is a self catered property - everything had been thought of! All of our party enjoyed the outside area of the property, the pool was perfectly clean with a great decking area surrounding it. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area a couple of days making full use of the BBQ! Angles (the village where the house is located) was very relaxed, we walked down to the bakery daily to collect our croissants and baguettes for the day. La Rochelle, Nantes and Les Sables are all within driving distance so we took day trips to these places during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay and would certainly love to re-book to come back.

This is a beautiful property with plenty of space and lots to keep kids entertained. We had a wonderful stay and the lay out works brilliantly. The living area is spacious and makes for the perfect social hub, particularly if you are travelling with extended family or multiple families. The garden is really well equipped and very safe for children to play in, with the entrance to the pool being really well secured. Kitchen had everything you could need and children/babies are well provided for in terms of equipment that is accessible. The local area is lovely, with great beaches easily accessible. Even though we were there out of season there was still plenty to do and explore. The place is brilliantly managed and kept in an outstanding condition, we couldn't have asked for a more friendly and helpful management team. Would certainly recommend a stay here!

The first impression walking through the door at Le Mimosa was excellent and the personal touches great. Lots of stuff to amuse kids of all ages. The house was very clean and the attention to detail from the staff excellent. We would definitely recommend this villa, in fact we have already booked for next year as we had an excellent holiday! Great to have such excellent accommodation with just a short walk to village restaurants & shops. Don't miss the market.

We received an excellent service from our hosts whilst staying at Le Mimosa. They went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant even offering to cook/bake with our children on a rainy day! The Maintenance and cleanliness has also been excellent and attentive making sure we had everything we needed. We've enjoyed local shops and restaurants epically the pizzeria and grill in Angles and the boulangerie for an excellent helping of croissants/pastries :) Our most enjoyed trips out have included the Zoo and the Chateaux de Adventure - both excellent for young children. We highly recommend Le Mimosa and think we will be returning!
