Luxuries include a large terrace on the sunny, south-facing side of the property overlooking the water and the boats coming and going. Air-conditioning and wifi included. Flights with Ryanair often under £60 return depending on your booking time.
Watch the world strolling along the waterside, see the yachts and barges come and go or take a couple of minutes stroll to the many port cafes, restaurants, and bars on the port side. Once back in the property it is so peaceful you would never realise how close you were to Marseillan's pretty marina with its excellent choice of waterfront restaurants and cafés. The views of the waterside constantly stun.
As the property is quite new everything within is fairly new e.g. fridge with freezer, cooker with hob and washing machine. Air conditioning and lift. Location is by the waterfront and next to the Port Rive Gauches apartments. There are two double bedrooms, a large bathroom with bath as well as large terrace and sitting / dining room.
Marseillan is a wonderful location for exploring the region and there are beaches, walks, bike rides, mountains, little villages and old towns all within a short drive. Marseillan itself is delightful and many people do not leave the village during their visit.
Parking is free on the roads outside or there is a car park with a weekly charge.

Marseillan is a beautiful old village by the sea in the South of France. Life is as its always been - slow - everyone has the time of day to say good morning and the main function of getting up is to enjoy the sun, cafe, croissant, wines, and oysters. Give it a few hours and the cafes and restaurants along the port and in the village will be busy with lunching and drinking coffee or a local wine. Afternoons can be sent visiting villages, markets, the beach, playing tennis or sightseeing and then it's time for 'apero' followed by dinner in one of the 20+ restaurants in the village, port or by the local beach.
A little trip out of Marseillan takes you to Meze, Bouzigues, Pezenas, Marseilan Plage, Balurac, Sete or further on visit Nimes, The Camargue and Carcassonne (just follow the Canal du Midi from Marseillan's Etang du Thau)
Vineyards galore line the roads with wine available from a couple of euros if you take a plastic bottle with you!
If you want to relax on the beach there are numerous beach clubs including Ola, Jungle Beach, and Les Vagues. Try Marseillan Plage, Cap D'Agde and Vias.
Just a few minutes walk away from the port is a small local park and a watersports area.
At the water sports area you can paddle board, kayak or learn to windsurf!
If holidaying with small children there is a lovely park by the beach with brick BBQ s for all to use.
Just past the park is a new selection of stylish but simple waterside restaurants serving smoked moules, oysters and wine.
Marseillan is a lovely port and a stopping point for those traveling along the Canal du Midi. Steeped in history Marseillan is possibly the oldest village in France. The area was originally settled by the Greeks more than 2500 years ago and was a very active Roman commercial centre.
With an old village it is still relatively unknown but once you know about it beware as you will want to keep coming back! There are about 15-20 places to eat, shops selling everything you need - boulangeries, pharmacies, greengrocers, fish, meat and everyday essentials (all within a short walk).
Travel a little further afield and you can visit the old port of Sete, historical Pezenas, Carcassonne, Aigues Mortes, riverside villages, mountains, gorges and sweet villages such as Bouzigues aptly named for a boozy, fishy lunch.

It was really great and we loved both Marseillan and your apartment. It was probably the best part of our 18 days in France (we’re still there, but unfortunately not by the sea anymore ;-) We are thinking about coming back to you next year or later.

Everything you need for a wonderful holiday
Location is the key. The apartment is four minutes walk around the corner from the old port of Marseillan with its lovely setting and waterside bars and good quality restaurants. It is ten minutes walk into Marseillan centre with lots of shops, banks, pharmacies, bars and restaurants and a large market on Tuesdays.
The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated; the bathroom is large and well fitted out together with a large kitchen area and all equipment. The bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds. A feature of the apartment is the large balcony with views of the waterside which is only 120 yards from the front door; it is totally relaxing to sit on the balcony whether it is for breakfast, lunch or evening drinks. From here you can see across the Etang and watch the yachts and cruisers going in and out; doing this with a drink in your hand slows you right down and leads to utter relaxation!
Highly recommended apartment. Really helpful owner. Well appointed accommodation, space to relax, all amenities minutes away and the unique atmosphere of the old Port; no wonder people just come back year after year.

Very stylish and comfortable apartment in a wonderful location 2 mins from the port and all its amazing restaurants. Lovely furniture, comfortable beds and a fabulous balcony with a view of the sea for morning breakfast and evening drinks. Amazing patisseries and shops in the town and loads to do in the area. Really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and even got a prime view of the town's firework display from the balcony one night!

We stayed at Diane's apartment during a very hot August week. The apartment is well represented by the photos, very clean and well equipped. More like a home than a holiday apartment. Luckily the air conditioning was working well! The manager looked after us well and resolved a couple of niggles. We traveled by bikes which we kept in the garage but plenty of parking outside for the car. We cycled every day. The circular route around the lagoon is in most places brilliant but around Sete and Meze, the signage was challenging. Routes around Agde also recommended. Marseillan is a laid back uncommercial small town with a mesmerizing harbour. We spent many hours watching the boats arrive and depart and the superb sunsets. Definitely, recommend.

A lovely apartment tastefully decorated as the photos show. The place was ideally situated with a large balcony looking over the entrance to the Port of Marseillan, Ideal for watching the world go by, there are a plenty of restaurants in the port and also a short walk into Marseillan Ville where there also some quality restaurants & wine bars to choose from. The soft sandy beach is a short distance away by the water sports area on the Etang du Thau.
If you feel more adventurous the cycle paths are easy to follow into Marseillan Plage or Sete. July & August are packed full of festivities in the area great to get out and enjoy the area.
We have stayed in the area several times in the past. Fantastic base to your Holiday

We had two weeks at Diane's apartment.
Marseillan is a beautiful little town, and the apartment is situated in the best place. Gorgeous views of the lake. And just around the corner from the bars and restaurants. The apartment is stylishly decorated lots of room. And supplied with everything you need for a great stay.
Diane couldn't be more helpful, especially as we are newbies to staying in gites/apartments. Thanks so much for a fantastic holiday x

A lovely contemporary apartment tastefully decorated as the photos show. The place was spotless with a large balcony with a mixture of sun, shade and views Ideally situated next to the charming small port with a number of good quality restaurants. The soft sandy beach is a short drive away which didn't cause a problem as parking is very easy everywhere and there is a clay court tennis club just 5 minutes away.

We had a lovely, relaxing week in Marseillan. The apartment suited us well. Well equipped, beautifully decorated and a great spot. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the sunshine, admiring the view and watching the world go by. The weather was perfect as we only had rain on our last evening. We were there for the festival week so enjoyed the music, rose wine tasting, seafood, and jousting. Didn't venture that far other than Pezanas and Meze as we were happy to walk and eat locally.

Where to begin? We had an idyllic week's stay in this truly beautiful and spacious apartment with wonderful views of the harbour, bay, and marina. Everything needed for a holiday stay was provided - and more. The brand new apartment is tastefully furnished, decorated and equipped. The owner has thought of everything; we couldn't fault it. If you want a taste of authentic French life, this is the place for you. Very close by is a wide selection of restaurants which cater to all tastes and pockets. Nearby shops provide everything you need, service with a smile and a helping hand. An absolutely wonderful experience. We very much hope to return and cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.
