Maison Panoramique is a traditional French residence which sleeps 8 people. It is situated overlooking the picturesque hilltop village of Cornillon.
There is a large tiled terracotta terrace shaded by vines for enjoying lazy meals and a comfortable loggia with rattan seating for a retreat from the midday sun.
The interior and exterior of the house feature:
- An open plan living/dining/kitchen area with utility room. All is well equipped with modern appliances, flat screen TV with English channels and is comfortably furnished. The dining table can seat 8 to 10 people.
- There are 4 double bedrooms all with kingsize beds.
- The large pool is 10 x 5 m and is completely private. There is an outdoor shower.
- There is an attractive Mediterranean planted garden with many shrubs and flowers.
- There are electric gates for security with an intercom system and ample parking including a garage.
- Wifi included
Cornillon is a picturesque medieval hilltop village and Maison Panoramique has beautiful views overlooking the village and surrounding hillsides.
There is a lovely restaurant, la Vieille Fontaine, within walking distance and during the summer there is live music and food at the village Guinguette, which is also 10 minutes walk from the house.
Cornillon has various open air music events held at the Chateau and the village is also known for its local artists who hold exhibitions throughout the summer.
Goudargues is the nearest village (2kms) and is a hub of activity with many bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a thriving market held every Wednesday morning and is not to be missed. Local artisans selling cheese, delicious olives, wild boar salami, wines and farm produce will welcome you and encourage you to taste their produce. It's certainly a feast on market day!
The Ceze river is fun for all the family and a pleasant day can be spent canoeing and picnicing on the river bank.
There are many wine producers locally and most offer wine tasting in their cellars. It's fun and interesting and is definitely worth trying.

This is the loveliest house that we have stayed in France. I think that, because the owners clearly spend time there, rather than the house being just a rental, it's spectacularly well equipped. You don't have to worry about broken sun loungers, or that there won't be a decent iron. The four bedrooms are helpfully all of good size; if you travel with other adults it's nice not to consign someone to a cramped room. The upper gallery & ground floor hall are big and airy, making the place feel very luxurious. The garage kept our car nice and cool. Someone has designed the layout carefully - no trek across gravel to swim, lots of spots to sunbathe on one's own, a back door leading to the shady loggia. The photos on this website don't do it justice. The garden is large and beautiful with ancient olives casting shade, the view breathtaking to the medieval fortress and the church of Cornillon, a pretty village 10 minutes' walk away. In June/July we surrounded by wildlife - lizards wandering the walls, giant colourful butterflies, black redstarts nesting, the babies leaving the nest one by one. Goudargues down the hill has everything you'll need. Visit the regional markets and river cascades, and taste the wine! Perfect.Guest rating:

We (two families) spent two great weeks in this wonderful house. Everything is available what you need for a relaxing holiday. The location and the garden with pool are fantastic. There is a lot to discover in the vicinity. The contact with the owners and the on-site support were excellent.

We have spent very nice holidays in family in the maison panoramique. We stayed 5 nights with 6 adults and my 2 years old granddaughter in august 2020. We have been welcomed by Simon which is very kind and helpful and very well reactive for questions. The outside view of the pool with the panoramique view of the village of cornillon in the background with the church in the middle is simply breathtaking and unforgettable.
The house is very quiet and comfortable and also very spacious, in fact more than what we could expect from the pictures on the website.
The pool is very convenient with the steps allowing our 2 years old grand daughter to play safe
My daughter appreciated the dressing room in the sleeping room on the basement which allowed to put the cot that Simon kindly put at our disposal for the baby.
The kitchen is very well equipped with all the tools and appliances, and all the basic spices were even present to allow us to start cooking immediately...
The bbq was also used a lot.
The covered terrace is very comfortable during the hottest hours and to drink some rosé from saint Nabor (which is very good). (Local Cornillon wine).
We loved taking the breakfast on the dining table on the terrace with fresh baked baguette from the bakery in Goudargues which is really excellent !
We spent very good time in your house and are all impatient to come back next year !Guest rating:
It‘s not called "Maison panoramique“ for nothing ! The view over the spacious garden with its olive tree, oleanders and the large swimming pool finally rests upon the village of Cornillon. Some wall-like hedges reminded us of English gardens of the 19th century.
The villa with a large living room and four bedrooms, one even with an attached dressing room – you could easily get used to that luxury!
Taking a bath in the morning, breakfast under the grapes on the terrace, then a walk from the Old Lavoir to St.Gelys, passing vineyards, kitchen gardens and taking a break savoring the menu of the day in St. Gelys – France at its best. After months of lockdown our stay in Cornillon had us forget every limitation we endured.
And finishing up the day: there was enough space for everyone to relax in the afternoon, for dinner we used the barbecue and enjoyed the sunset – wonderful!Guest rating:
The whole property and the house are great. Especially the view over the valley is a highlight. The region is not very touristic or overcrowed and we liked that. As the photos show the house is very stylish, and everything was very clean. The garden, pool and the terraces around the house are ideal to relax and enjoy. We stayed with another family (8 persons in total) and there is enough space for everybody. Since we did a lot of cooking, we really appreciated the good equipment and the large kitchen. We loved having breakfast, lunch and dinner on the cosy and spacious terrace. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet John and Liz in person, but Simon took care of everything we needed and responded very quickly. Thanks again Simon. We can recommend this place and will hopefully return again.
