This bright well equipped apartment at Santa Maria, Port Argeles is wonderfully situated in the southernmost part of France at the gateway of Catalonia and Spain. Port Argeles basking in almost continuous sunshine nestles beside the Mediterranean where the Alberes foothills of the Pyrenees plunge into the sea. A short five minute walk takes you to the promenade and a 7km Blue Flag beach. The local village of Argeles has maintained its Catalan atmosphere with a twice-weekly market.The apartment has a private south facing balcony where you will find it wonderful to relax with a glass of local wine watching the marina activities and the sunlight continuously changing over the Pyrenees.
Port Argeles is a modern marina complex offering a varied choice of restaurants, shops, boutiques and bars. Regular boat trips go from the port to Collioure, the well known artists' town and other French and Spanish places of interest.
This second floor apartment at Santa Maria is accessed by lift or stairs. It has from its private south facing balcony spectacular views overlooking the luxury marina and the foothills of the Pyrenees. The accommodation is bright, comfortable, well equipped and fully furnished and offers both secure underground parking and intercom lobby entrance.
- Living room/kitchenette – kitchen area has freezer, fridge, ceramic hob, oven/microwave/grill, toaster and washing machine. There is a double sofa/bed, two easy chairs, TV. Mini hi-fi/CD player with Blue Tooth and MP3 connection, dining table and chairs, nest of coffee tables in the living area with sliding patio doors to balcony.
- Double bedroom – 2 single beds, chest of drawers and fitted double wardrobe.
- Bathroom - bath with overhead shower, sink unit, large mirror with make-up shelves.
- Separate WC.
- Balcony with 2 sun loungers.
You will need to take your own bed linen and towels, or alternatively these can be hired at an extra charge. Electricity and water are included in the rental price.

KEYS, PLEASE NOTE. After the final holiday payment, the apartment keys are sent to your home address by special delivery. If you do not live in the UK, there is a small custom charge of about 3 to 5 euro depending on where you live.
If you are a sun-worshipper a short five-minute walk takes you to the 7 km Blue-flag beach. A ten-minute promenade walk takes you to Argeles Plage, where day excursions by coach to Barcelona, Perpignan and the Pyrenees together with many other trips are available. Argeles village retains its French character with a twice-weekly market being a 30-minute walk away. You may however wish to relax on the south facing balcony, wander around the marina with its shops, restaurants, boutiques and bars or take a local boat trip.
This Roussillon area of France has many villages influenced by Catalan culture to visit together with numerous vineyards and beautiful coastlines. Collioure is close by and has been a magnet for artists since Matisse settled there in 1905. Colourful fishing boats tied up to the much painted harbour and cobbled streets will entice you to explore.
A Mediterranean climate, wonderful scenery, good wine and food await you.

How to get to The Apartment
Port Argeles is easily accessible by road/rail and air with direct budget and charter flights from many UK airports. The nearest airports to the apartment are Perpignan (35 mins); Gerona* (1 hr 10 mins); Carcassone (1hr 40mins); Barcelona* (2 hrs9 mins); Montpellier (2hrs); Toulouse (2hr 30mins). These are approximate driving times. Car hire is available at all airports and can be less expensive in Spain*.
It is important to book your car hire when booking your flights and good savings can be made on line.
Copies of local road and town maps will be supplied before the start of your holiday.

L'appartement est très bien équipé et parfaitement situé. Plage et balade possibles à pied, sur le port ou le remblais, marchés, animations proposées par la municipalité (jeux en bois et gonflables, feu d'artifice...). Le stationnement en sous-terrrain est vraiment agréable, surtout par forte chaleur, mais également en pleine saison étant donné la difficulté pour trouver une place. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans l'appartement de Bob et Brenda qui sont des propriétaires très bienveillants et réactifs.

We enjoyed a relaxing holiday in this memorable location. The apartment is light & bright & meets all the needs of holiday makers (including secure garage parking). The view from the balcony which overlooks the constantly active marina & has the Pyrenees as a background is a highlight, we enjoyed several gasses of wine & a few cups of tea whilst we just watched the activities. With so many restaurants nearby meant we never ate in the same place twice. We very much hope to return (subject to availability!)

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in this lovely apartment. It has everything you need & in the centre of things. We spent hours just looking at the view watching the marina activities. Bob & Brenda, who are the owners, were able to sort out any problems we had & could offer information on the region. All in all we had a wonderful stay & would certainly recommend this rental.

We had a lovely week at this beautiful apartment. It was so close to the beach and the marina with all the lovely restaurants. It had everything we needed and the information folder was very handy. The balcony was great and much bigger than we expected. The secure garage was great for keeping our bikes locked away. We had great communication from the owners and would definitely return when we visit the area in the future. We can't recommend the apartment enough.

We stayed for a week at this wonderful marina view apartment. Bob and Brenda's communications and instructions were second to none and made holiday planning a real pleasure. The view from the large balcony is every bit as good as the photo on the advert and one can spend hours watching the boats , the birds and the people moving around the marina to the backdrop of lovely hills. We had excellent days out to Collioure, Banyuls sur Mer, Ceret and the local Valmy Chateau estate. There are plenty of walking opportunities in 3 directions and 3 local supermarkets. All in all a wonderful week and an apartment to which we will definitely return. Thank you Bob and Brenda

This apartment is neat, clean and comfortable with a lovely interesting view from the sizeable balcony. There are good restaurants in the harbour and many more ten minutes walk along the seafront to the town. You can walk to Collioure which is a town not to be missed.as it is so charming. There are many charming villages and further afield Barcelona is a two hour drive. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

My wife and I returned to this apartment last month, having previously visited Port Argeles in August of 2014. It's the first time my wife and I have returned anywhere in over thirty years of "Les Vacances" in France. The apartment is perfect for two people, (maybe four), with more than enough of everything you will need for a vacation in the area. The views over the Marina and left to the Pyrenees are just stunning. Adequate shopping and numerous bar/ restaurant facilities in the port. Three minutes walk to a stunning beach and the "Med". Safe swimming. Markets, boat trips and a good boulangerie are all locally available . Local Euro bus 50 metres from the back of the Apartment. One Euro to anywhere, even Perpignan. Good service. Never met the owners, but there levels of communication are first class. Can't fault it at all. Also we cannot recommend the "Apartment" enough. You will not be disappointed with the location, facilities or the Apartment. First time I've ever given top marks to anywhere we've ever stayed!!!

My wife and I travelled to Port Argeles for the first time, having holidayed in the Languedoc Roussilon region for many years. A pleasant surprise awaited us on entering the "Apartment". The view of the Marina bathed in glorious sunshine was absolutely stunning. Pop onto the balcony, look left to the Pyrenees,wonderful. The apartment was equipped with much more than we required for our vacation. Everything and more besides. Comfortable beds, settee, super little bathroom,along with an adequately supplied kitchen area. The first floor balcony gives you panoramic views and plenty of sunshine. Adequate shopping in the marina area along with an abundance of bars and restaurants. Five minutes (steady) walk to a stunning sandy beach. the list goes on. All the info available, supplied in the apartment. Local markets abound. Kathy and I travelled by T,G.V. to Perpignan, (no car driving for us on Vacation). Great transport links. Coach (1Euro) drops you within 50 metres of the apartment. We travelled to Collieure, (walked and bus) Banyuls sur Mer. Argeles village etc. We had a fabulous time in a superb apartment. "We stayed twice at 205 Santa Maria in Port Angeles and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday both times. The apartment on the first floor is well stocked and has everything we needed. The main room is pleasant and light, with plenty to watch from the balcony - holidaymakers walking by or shopping, as well as constant movement and interest from the boats in the marina. There were many excellent cafes and restaurants to choose from close by and various items of free entertainment every evening. Further afield there are places of general and artistic interest only a boat or train ride away. We visited Collioure, with its picturesque cottages and sites where well known artists, Matisse, Picasso and others were inspired and Port Vendre where Charles Rennie Mackintosh painted. It is well worth taking a trip to Banyuls near the Spanish border and Pyrenees, where a tourist train took us though the town into the hills to view the bay and beyond in all directions. Port Argeles itself has much of interest to offer and is very conveniently situated for visits to Perpignon, Carcassonne or Barcelona. We had a truly memorable holiday both times.
