Lourdes is a small but efficient airport, a gateway to the world famous Our Lady's Shrine and Grotto, Lourdes, which is celebrating it's 150th anniversary.

Lourdes is a small but efficient airport, a gateway to the world famous Our Lady's Shrine and Grotto, Lourdes. It was in this town in the foothills of the Pyrénées on Feb 11, 1858, that 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous claimed to see the first of 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary.  

It is also a gateway to other areas of South France and the picturesque Pyrenees mountains, allowing an easy access across the border into North Spain.

Location

The airport is located halfway between Tarbes and Lourdes (10km) connected to the A64 motorway and N21 national route, less than one and a half hours drive the Atlantic Coast.

Transfers to and from the airport are by coach, taxi or rented car.
